Schaengel goes with the flow

Schaengel

Recommended Posts

Okay Since the last challenge was a big cluster of F's this time for dummies ;)

I'm going to make this easy to get back on track so it will all be going with the flow this time...

large.jpg

Quest 1: I would walk 500 miles

Marathon training is still going on so goal is:

- try to stay true to the plan (pushing trainings if necessary is okay)

- on non-running days yoga for runners (30minutes)

Quest 2: Tracking again

Loosing some weight before the big run would be nice. So tracking again:

- track food and drinks

Quest 3: Chill Dude

- 10 minutes meditation using the calm app per day

Quest 4: That's what friends are for

- spend an hour per day for nerd fitness (also posting...not just reading)

All Quests are one point per day 75%+ at the end of the challenge is a success.

So let's get back on track :)

Cologne looks good.  My friend is running Berlin in September.

I'd like to get an international marathon or half done at some point in the next few years.  It's just so costly with the travel.  I'm looking at hotels for the London marathon next year, so expensive!

International is always good :) My plan is to do the one marathon (and cross that of my to do list) and then look for new goals (like parcour, rock climbing and so on) there is still so many stuff that needs doing :)

Challenge accepted B)

Heavy metal pecs, hardrock bro- and triceps, shoulders that can carry a fullstack of bass amps with ease...why shouldn´t I want that?

It will be hard to find not-challenged NFs here though :D Maybe I´ll spread it out to co workers and facebook friends :)

Doing my first 22 right now and challenging @Schaengel B)

(Background...don't know how to quote that probably...

" So today I challenge @BarbarianBassBro who I imagine will rock it hard as rockers are want to do

(thinking you haven't been challenged yet already? lol)

‪#‎22pushups‬ for ‪#‎22kill‬ push up challenge to raise awareness for the 22 U.S. soldiers that, on average, commit suicide each day.

Here's how it works. Complete 22 push ups each day for 22 days and post your progress. Form doesn't matter. Time doesn't matter. Let's spread awareness to put an end to this tragedy. 1 is too many.

Challenge a new person to do this every day you do it.")

Okay, first things first ;)

I'm going to give a little piece of my mind beforehand, fell free to disagree...

I'm not a fan of military...like at all... military in all that it is used for, represents and the way it works is not a positive part in the way I see the world...I would love a world without military...

BUT as someone who knows the trauma that depression and suicide cause I'm willing to support everything that raises awareness for this illness.

So I'm starting tomorrow...

I don't like to tell people what to do so if you (Hellfire Club ;) )would like to take part in this fell free to fell challenged by me :)

21.07.2016

Worked, then went to see my grandma, then drove 1,5hours with my brother to a Dead Lord concert...totally worth it...if you like good rock (think Thin Lizzy style) check them out...if don't check them out anyway ;)

Quest 1: I would walk 500 miles

No time...and I mean seriously no time :/ (2/3)

Quest 2: Tracking again

Did my tracking (3/3)

Quest 3: Chill Dude

Nope.(0/3)

Quest 4: That's what friends are for

YES, YES, YES (2/3)

22.07.2016

First little review of the first days... I'm getting a lot of stuff done. That's good. Not focusing on what I eat but to track it is a good start of getting better control. So good too. Sports are going quite well, as well as is possible in this annoying (meaning hot and mostly humid) weather. I'm not able to follow my plan in all areas but I think it's better to listen to my body then to a plan (and since I already did half-marathon distance 3 times so far I think it's working). Still need to find a way to get back into the meditation focus. Problem is at times when I feel I could need it (like when I kinda fell bad on the way home at nights) I'm not able to do it and when I'm at a place where I can I don't fell the need anymore :/

Quest 1: I would walk 500 miles

Note a real run because I forgot that today there was a football game near my running area. I go there by bike and normally just lock a backpack with clothes and some water near the track to my bike. But because of all the fans I wasn't sure if somebody might steal something and/or if the police would understand a backpack locked to a pole near a stadium so I quit after 2,5km...but I give myself the point anyway for trying my best!!! (3/4)

Quest 2: Tracking again

Did my tracking (4/4)

200.gif

Quest 3: Chill Dude

Nope.(0/4)

Quest 4: That's what friends are for

Doing that right now (3/4)

I think six hours is a good time for a first time marathoner, that's what I'm going to aim for.  I'm sure I can walk it six hours!

international marathoning is a good plan living in Europe as there as so many great cities to visit.  I might make it my new hobby.

I plan to arrive before the 6hour mark, 5hours and a little would be nice

Traveling as a hobby is awesome...I still have to plan the trip to Edinburgh to meet other European NFs :) (have you heard of that?? :) )

Maybe if you get into the habit of doing it when you don't need it it will help you feel better when stressful situations do come up. You'll be in a calmer starting place, maybe?

I don´t like anything military too, but as a mental jail nurse I know how creepy and and "surprising" such mental issues are to most of us. "This came out of nowhere, why did he/she commit suicide?" Being aware is important!

I don´t blame anyone who doesn´t want to support this and it is no chainletter like "you will be impotent and die from cancer when you don´t". Feel free to challenge me for anything, as long as it isn´t cardio. I hate cardio :D

This kills me. It's back-to-school week this week and I just KNOW there's going to be free food -- food that's horrible for me -- all over the place. Not that I've been making good dietary choices this week to begin with. *tries to hide the leftover pizza boxes in the fridge*

That would be great. I love Edinburgh.  It's a lovely place to visit.  I haven't been for about 15 years though.

All I need is an infinite amount of cash and I can travel.
