I also hardly every press the button. If I do it's probably because I exercised a bunch that day and I'm curious how skinny I would be in 5 weeks if I actually had any ambition. Then after I see "you would weigh like a 12 year old girl if you stopped eating ice cream and bagels and liked cardio" I go and have a cookie and curl up with my Netflix.

On the phone, on the new version, it is the diary icon on the top left corner with the little check mark. 

 

It'll tell you what you would weigh in 5 weeks if you did the same as that day every day. But since we are human this feature is useless except as a thing to point and laugh per Sam Ashen. I'm sure it motivates some people otherwise it wouldn't be there. Tries to motivate them to make every day a magical day.

Today's Training.  In pounds. 

 

Got to the squat rack and someone's stuff was in it, but I asked the three guys in the room if it belonged to them, they were all, "nope, dunno who it belongs to".  Being polite before moving someone's stuff (keys, water, weight belt) I looked in the machine room, and some guy was "saving" the squat rack while he did leg presses.  He was really embarrassed and said that I could go first. DARN RIGHT I went first.  Politely, though.

2 x 5 at 45

2 x 5 at 95

1 x 5 at 140

1 x 3 at 155

1 x 1+ at 195 - I did 3. 

 

Goblet squats

3 x 10 at 45

bb-less hip thrusters

@Taddea Zhaan, were your ears ringing?  I was cursing you from afar.  I didn't feel a difference from the bridges, but WHAT a difference on the thrusters. 

 

Shadow Boxing

2 x 3 minutes. 

I put some effort into it, may have made it into truly hiit territory (although not yet tabata).

Home Chef meals are going well - both have been tasty.  Last night was feta crusted salmon and greek arugula salad. 

Tonight is chicken dianne.  So far, I have found them to be pretty convenient, too. 

 

ALSO....I remember reading about someone really knowing a lot about protein shakes.  But of course I can't remember who or anything specific.  WAS THAT SOMEONE YOU?  I ask because I just started new ones, and I want to make sure that I am not wasting my money.

I was doing vegan protein shake bottles like that for a while, maybe that's what you're remembering? I found them really handy, but a touch expensive so I only bought them on sale. And I haven't found a place in NJ that sells them for cheap.

The ones you linked to look good, but like anything else, it's all about your goals and if it fits those then go for it!

Today is DELOAD week...the training, in pounds, DB weights are per side:

OHP

3 x 5 at 45

2 x 5 at 65

I screwed up and skipped 55, so did 65 twice.  Whatevs. 

 

DB Row

3 x 10 at 25

 

DB Curls (like whoa)

3 x 10 at 15

 

skipped the dead hangs

 

Shadow Boxing:

4 min, 3 min

 

Also - I am looking for a DB substitute for DB bench.  I want to do something that helps strengthen the MUCH weaker left side to help bb bench, but I am having some form  issues with the DB bench - it hurts my back big time.  Any thoughts on a decent replacement? 

 

So far I am not a fan of deload week.  I feel like I haven't worked hard enough to deserve it.  I will have faith in the program and keep at it, though. 

 

Also..I walked a lot today.  My school is a campus style school, which means it is housed in separate buildings like a college.  So...lots of unaccustomed walking.

 

Stuck to my pre-planned food today despite a surprise treat of a catered breakfast AND a catered lunch.   This is a fairly significant win.
