Jedi vs School and Wedding Planning

Well, my new semester starts soon. And my wedding planning is starting to get fired up. So I'm going to start getting SUPER busy starting like literally tomorrow. It's my final semester so I want to enjoy as much of it as possible. Or as much as it's possible to enjoy with the massive amounts of work I'm going to be doing. My semester is gonna be super busy but also life. Plus, I'm taking a gym class this semester, so that's why my gym workouts look so lacking.

 

So here are my goals for the semester!

 

Goal 1- Run Twice Each Week

I can do a treadmill run twice a week at the university gym. I hope I can work up to beyond a mile this semester. I've been doing fairly well, but still. Hopefully this will work out a bit better for more distance. I'm super excited about it!

 

2 Runs every week= A +3STA +2DEX

2 runs 3 weeks= B +2STA +1DEX

2 runs 2 weeks= C +1STA +.5DEX

Less = Fail

 

Goal 2- Daily Stretching

I really want to re-impliment my stretching daily. I love it and it feels great. Plus, it's helpful after workouts. It'll be helpful.

 

6 Days each week= A +3DEX +2CON

6 Days 3 weeks = B +2DEX +1CON
6 Days 2 weeks = C +1DEX +.5CON

Less = Fail

 

Goal 3- Mindful Eating

This is a pass/fail goal. I want to be more mindful about how I eat. I can decide overall if I'm eating better over time. I don't wanna eat bad stuff constantly, or overeat, but I want to do better overall. So Yeah, this is just gonna be a pass/fail goal.

 

Pass= +3CON +2CHA

 

Well, here they are. This will be an interesting challenge at least, but I'm ready to try it at least.

Hey, that's a great set of goals! It always gets tough when life gets so busy but the best way to deal with a busy life is to be the best version of you that you can be!

Simple goals are the way to go! Good luck! I literally had to make up a chart to keep up with all of mine. Doesn't help I have two sets of them, but still. Ranger Brain went to work! btw, because I'm nosy and its been a while - how far away is the wedding? :) Congrats (again, if I've already said it. I can't remember.... )

I can't do that much right now b/c I've got SO much on my plate already! And it's April 22nd of next year so I'm in one of those times when I have a ton of crap to get done xD

Just ran my measurements from being at home. I didn't gain more than a half inch anywhere, and I lost a half inch or so in places! Super pleased, especially since my weight is being weird.

Yeah, it's super helpful to do other things.

Yesterday, I ran a mile and a half! Today I had my gym class for the first time. It's been quite a week thus far. I can do this? Maybe?

Things got somewhat better, the immediate stress calmed down. Now I'm just trying to fight through a general exhaustion that's coming from what's probably an impressive jump in my going-and-doing

I'm hoping so, some days are legit feeling like 'one foot in front of the other' as a mantra. It's been exhausting these past few days.

:D I've legit used it as a matra before! Sometimes life gets like that and all you need to do is to remind yourself to keep moving forwards towards your goals. You'll get there. You'll get through school and you will be fabulous at your wedding!

So the past few days have been horrendous. I've been having some shark week issues that I think are related to my medication, so I'm dealing with Shark week again. Which is making me tired and my past two dinners have been carb nightmares. That's been making me tired, I've been getting only barely enough sleep, and not enough to compensate for the increased amount of movement I've been doing. I'm also tired because I've been doing my gym class. Literally every single muscle aches. Arms, chest, thighs, every piece of my core... I'm dying a little. Plus I've got tons of homework that I'm too tired to do, and I've got work all day today and I'm driving home after work today because there's a cake tasting calling my name on Sunday. Among other things. Last night I was completely exhausted but couldn't sleep for ages thanks to a large mosquito bite on my foot that took large amounts of gold bond and cortizone cream to get to stop itching. I literally cried myself to sleep I was so exhausted and worn down. Hopefully I'll get to sleep in some tomorrow, and if I get the more obnoxious bits of my homework done tonight, I can work on the easier parts tomorrow while my fiance and I are hanging out. 

 

Good news things: I get a new laptop on Monday. I'm doing useful things at work. My healthy eating hasn't been terrible aside from those two meals related to shark week (I'm trying to get my meds straightened out). I get to see the Fiance tomorrow. I see my family tonight. I've gotten in all of my workouts and stretches this week. Fun Wedding stuff this weekend. My save the dates came in.

DOMs is gone for now, thank goodness xD The cake tasting was WONDERFUL :) I feel so much better after a relaxing weekend where I was able to catch up on my sleep.

 

It was the lack of sleep that was getting me mostly, now I'm feeling mostly better aside from some weirdness with my allergy-asthma combo that led me to decide that no, I probably shouldn't go running this morning. Depending on my gym class tomorrow, I may only run once this week. I dunno. But hopefully soon I can call my allergist and have someone answer and tell me why my chest was tight and I was struggling to breathe a little last night. -_-

 

In the meantime, I've got class and homework and I weighed myself this morning to discover that a couple of nights (hormonally related) did not screw me over as badly as they used to weight wise! That gym class is kicking my butt in the best way :) ALL the muscle.

Yaaay! That's all-around awesomeness!!! I'm glad to hear you're feeling better. ^_^ I hope your allergy-asthma combo doesn't give you too much trouble this week.

So due to unforseen circumstances of chest tightness and worry about my allergy-asthma combo, I was unable to run yesterday. I'd planned on running saturday, but the gym is closed that day thanks to a football game. So only one run this week for me. Today was my class and it, as usual, kicked my butt. In a wonderful way.

 

I was also put on a third allergy medicine to handle life better hopefully. Fingers crossed.

It's far better for you to take care of yourself, even if it means missing a run. Hopefully that new allergy med works and you won't have to miss a day next week! :)

Agreed! It's so much better to be safe than sorry in this case. I plan on not missing any days :)

 

And YASSSSS. SUCH CRAZY. It's the mix really. 3 English classes, a painting class, the gym class, Treasurer duties, 16 hrs of work each week, running twice a week, and wedding planning. Someone pls murder me before this semester does! 

 

At least this is it. I graduate in early December. As my dad so memorably said "you can do anything for three months."
