Exercise glossary? Where?

Recommended Posts

Since it looks like the 'epic quest' site feature has been updated, I gave it another look.  Looks prettier than before, but a lot of the "quests" involve doing exercises that aren't clearly described.  Yoga poses with exotic names, bodyweight moves that a beginner probably never heard of, etc.  The quest to do "10 split squats" says to refer to the "exercise glossary" if you don't know what a split squat is.  What glossary?  I don't see such a thing.

Not really.  I'm not talking about the Academy stuff, I'm talking about that freebie app-like thing here:

Okay, have you checked https://www.nerdfitness.com/free-resources/?

If that's of no help, maybe an admin can answer :D

Otherwise, I am more than happy to help lead you in the right direction on how to do whatever workouts you have questions about.

Using the split squat as an example, well, it is exactly that. A regular squat uses both legs correct? Well, a split squat is "splitting" that in half. You squat with one leg. Simply put, have one leg back and raised on a bench, one leg forward and planted firm on the ground. Proceed to squat. A modified lunge if you will.

Why yes, in fact I did check that page.  It contains nothing resembling an 'exercise glossary' so far as I can see.

Thank you for the advice about squats though.
