Terah Posted September 17, 2016 Report Share Posted September 17, 2016 This pvp is part of the Doodlie accountability group You can only participate if you're a Doodlie! A short recap of how we play You start by copying the character sheet and fill it in (see rule book for details on this). You've got 4 primary abilities. You can level these up infinitive by doing stuff in real life like doing cardio, strength training, meditate or learn stuff. Besides that you've got extra ability's you can choose to your liking, to shape your character. By choosing a specific race or class you gain bonuses for certain abilities, but you're not limited to them. The DM (doodlie master) tells a story. You tell the DM how you wish to react to the circumstances the DM described. He or she will determine, by rolling a dice and comparing the result with the ability that's applicable in that situation, if you're successful or not. For example: You wish to talk to a cute guy in a bar. Since you're a beautiful elf, the DM decides this shouldn't be too hard for you, so she uses a D4 (a dice with 4 sides). (Or the DM decides that this is very hard since you're an ugly ogre and she uses a D100 (a dice with 100 sides)). She looks at your psyche level, say you're level 3. With the D4 you'll succeed by a roll of 2, 3 or 4. (With the D100 by 98, 99 or 100.) The DM rolls the D4 and you get a 3. The cute guy is willing to talk to you. Say you roll a 4, since that is the highest role the cute guy comes to you and tells you everything you wan to know. Or you get a 1, and the cute guy slaps you in the face and leaves. I'll be your DM in week 1 and 2. Ryuu will be your DM in week 3 and 4. (I was actually thinking of starting up something similar but glad to see you've got something already running) I'm working on my character sheet now and reading up on the rules. So here is the Introduction After an amazing week 0 the doodlies wake up in the Doodlie castle, ready for a new adventure. After breakfast that is. The doodlies are zealously practicing their skills, using their weapons, reading books, running around and meditating as the Great Yak suddenly appears. He looks really sad. You gather around, eager to hear what the Great Yak has to say. "My champions, I need your help." A tear drops down his cheek. "The Great Treasure has been stolen!" When he sees your puzzled looks: "You know, the Chest of Gluttony! The Chest that produces unlimited supplies of nutella, peanut butter and ice cream. "I'm going to transport you to Baydale, as the treasure seems to be located there somewhere. "But first: Gather your supplies. Meet me back here when you're ready to go. But hurry, the treasure has to be back before Sunday October 2nd or my servants will die of hunger." Let me know what you want to bring from the doodlie castle. I'll let you know if it's available. If not I'll give you an alternative. (Off course you are free to do stuff in and around the castle, talk to each other and the Great Yak. Just type your own story's ) In this story you'll stick together. Where one doodlie goes, all go (unless there is some plot twist I don't know about yet, things like that happen). It could happen that you are not able to participate in one of the challenges, or are off line for a longer period of time. In that case I'm going to assume you are still with the party, but hidden from the NPC's. If you want to join in later, I'll have the Great Yak transport you to the other doodlies, after you've taken what you needed from the doodlie castle. Feel free to guestimate the amounts your eating. It does not have to be different kind of freggies. Let me know the amount tomorrow before 9 pm, and I'll let you know how much stuff you found. For the other doodlies: Depending on your actions you'll get different challenges. He hopes to find his bow, arrows, and quiver, a short sword, a longsword, and throwing knives. Clothes appropriate to the climate of Baydale, a cloak, 20' of rope, torches, a bed roll/ sleeping pad, dried rations for 7 days, thieves tools, and climbing or dungeneering equipment. He also pokes around and sees if he has any amount of gold on him at the start of the adventure. (I'm not going to tell how how many minutes will give you how many items, but working out will give you more items per minute than reading.) Yes, those have changed too. I see you've got 40% of the next reason skill. Normally you would have to learn something for 1,5 * 4(the level you're trying to reach) = 6 hours. But now you can subtract 40% of that, so you only need 3 hours and 36 minutes to get to level 4.
