She bent down to lace her trainers ( hiking boots / elven slippers / winged sandals / barefoot / gnomish boots ), then straighten, stretching up to the sky. Her music was plugged in and an appropriately upbeat tune started in her ears. Jump on the spot, stretch the legs, and then Lotzo began to run down the road (through the forest, on the beach, over the hills). Hi! I'm Lotzo, starting off my journey with NF and experimenting with the different kind of challenges. I did read the website a while ago and start implementing the habit techniques into my life, but I figured some accountability could only be helpful. I want to become strong and able to trust in my own body. I struggle slightly with climbing mountains - despite it being a love - due to the difficulty of climbing the steep peaks, and not trusting myself to jump over the streams or even get up. Its time to Level UP! Quest 1 : Diet Have a daily Paleo breakfast. I had been regularly drinking a banana smoothie for breakfast, but then the summer holidays it kind of dissapeared. Now I don't have any desire to drink it or make anything egg-based, so I need to find some other alternative for cereal. 21 days + (+4 CON) 15 days + (+2 CON) 7 days + (+1 CON) Quest 2 : Run Run 4 times a week. I've been doing a ParkRun (5k) every Saturday for a while, but I want to improve my speed by running during the week. I will be using the ZombiesRun! C25k app, with the main app once a week. I will get to strength training, but I currently prefer running, so I will get working out in a routine first, and then build up on that. 16 days + (+2 STA, +2 DEX) 12 days + (+2 STA) 8 days + (+1 STA) Quest 3 : Work Do my studies every day (minus Sunday) Last year's school exams were incredibly humbling, and I need to step my game up 100%. I have a set two hours every night to stick to, and get homework done and additional research. Though this may seem a lot, it is necessary to do as well as I hope to this year. 21 days + (+4 WIS) 15 days + (+2 WIS) 7 days + (+1 WIS) Quest 4 : Skin To do my skincare routine every day. My skin is still oily despite leaving puberty far behind, and I want to take care of my stretch marks as well. Every morning after my shower I will spend five minutes taking care of my skin. 21 days + (+3 CHA) 15 days + (+2 CHA) 7 days + (+1 CHA) It was a quiet run down the road, with the morning sun washing everything in a soft pink and orange haze. Lotzo's breathing evened out and she began to enjoy it, when she turned a corner and bumped into a shadow. Their features were hidden under the cowl of a hood and Lotzo felt a chill run down her spine. She tried to apologise and turned to run away, when a bony hand caught her elbow. Menacing laughter filled the air as the entities' other hand plunged into her stomach, into and through. Her stomach felt too full, nearly to the point of bursting, when the hand withdrew. In the skeletal hand was a shining orb of light, purples mixing with orange into green, blending into a bright blinding white. The 5k is a thing organised in every city in the UK (practically), and you're invited to come along and try it every week. I've gone from 42 min to 33min, and I'm aiming to break that 30min barrier by Christmas. Banana smoothies are good for something quick, but aren't currently the best at making me feel any form of satiation. Scrambled eggs can be really good, but I just don't want it in the morning. Infinity.Creates Posted September 20, 2016 Author Report Share Posted September 20, 2016 Lotzo looked left, then right, watching as the shadow ran from her, a large white ball cradled in two hands. That was hers (what part of her, Lotzo had no clue) and she was going to get it back. She bounced on the spot, then started the chase. Hopefully I'll be able to write the story twice a week, on my Tuesdays and Saturdays. I'll be following the story of Lotzo and how she chases this shadow that has her dreams, motivation, and emotions. So far this week, I've begun the process of getting up earlier in preparation for my workouts in the morning. I will be posting a final workout schedule on Saturday. I've also begun the Juice Bar with Stellakin in hopes of a place for Rebels to gather. Week 0 is going down! Straight down the main road, Lotzo kept running, slowly gaining on the shadow. Then it darted into an office building, and she fought through the crowd desperately. I'm not sure how reheated pancakes taste, but I'll definitely put it in my list of breakfast experiments. I also am going to try boiling some eggs the night before having that with some ginger lemon water. It feels light enough for my stomach and tastes better than scrambled egg. In a saucepan, heat 2-3 cups of water to a boil (do other morning stuff while you're waiting). When it's boiling, add chicken & beef bullion - I like Better Than Bullion base. Also add a splash of soy sauce and some srirracha sauce, and ground pepper. Scramble two eggs in a small bowl. Take the boiling broth off the heat and let it come off the boil. Stir very quickly - don't splash! - then drop in the scrambled eggs. Cover and let sit undisturbed for a couple of minutes while you finish up another morning thing or two. Enjoy! It doesn't taste like eggs and is very light. She managed to keep it up for 10 minutes, when her calves began to cramp. But she was gaining on it! Then the shadow passed through a large open tent that had blocked the road. It was large and golden, with a stone chimney somehow built through the middle. People were streaming in and out of it, laughing, each with a greasy burger or chips clutched in their hands. The shadow slipped in through between two people, but as Lotzo went to follow, she was pulled aside by a yank to the elbow. She turned to pull herself out of the person's grasp, but was faced with a plate of chocolates thrust into her face. Quest 1 : Face the hordes of (currently) delicious sugary grainy unhealthy food that I am currently offered, and say NO Okay, it's not quite as dramatic, but it is going to be a slight addition to my current Quest 1. Cooking a paleo breakfast isn't going to be too difficult, as I now have a wide range of choices to think through. I may also experiment with egg muffins. But it was birthday a few weeks ago, and I've still got so much chocolate and other food lying around the house. There is a ton of delicious sugary cereals downstairs, and it's so easy to buy cookies and carby food from school. Every week I'll be featuring a specific challenge and my struggle with that quest. Each of Lotzo's tasks will be a reflection of my own, but honestly, the most challenging part might be relating my challenge to her world Lotzo looked ahead to the shadow quickly gaining ground, and looked around at the piles of food that was constantly being offered to her. The scent in the air was so tempting, and it would be so easy to take a single cake as she ran through. I've managed to get myself up at 6 twice this week, but I need to get that to every day :/ I also did a 5k run this morning, which was my first after a 2 month break over the summer. Time to resume the habit! The first mile went really well, but then my legs got really tight for the last two miles. My time was 36:44, and my PB is 33:24. My goal is to break the 30 minute mark by the new year. I haven't started my habit with my skincare yet, but I have the lotion and will begin tomorrow after my shower, instead of doing what I always do and napping for 15 minutes afterwards. My school work is coming along well, and my EPQ research is 40% done. My first step is to collate it, filling in any gaps, then creating an official planning document, then continuing on with my research. Cooked 6 eggs yesterday, I'm having one before the run and then two for breakfast, hard boiled with a sprinkle of cheese and salami. Also, went on my first run of the challenge today! It took 7 minutes and a lot of will power to drag myself out of bed and into my working out clothes (leaving them on the floor next to my bed really helps), and then went for a mile run! It felt really good and I got my shower over with at the same time as usual. My skin is clear, I am healthy and happy, and now all Ive got to do is smash this school day! As she ran, it was forced into her face, occasionally blinding her sight, piles of chocolate and their warm heavenly sweet scent overwhelming her. Every time Lotzo would slow down, to wipe a bit of cake off her cheek, more was forced onto her. It wasn't her fault it was all there, was it? Lotzo felt curiously exhilarated, and yet frustrated with her own temptations. Then she would take a bite off a piece of chocolate, and the guilt would only intensify. So, I had a birthday bash around two weeks ago, and there's a lot of chocolate still hanging around the house. Every time I return home, I unconsciously take some, and I have been eating way too much junk. On the other hand, I have been able to stay away from the temptation of cereal and other bad food in the morning. Two boiled eggs with some salt and pepper, with a nice honey lemon mint ginger (its a mouthful to say ) drink. It fills me up until break, and it's going well so far! I like the meal, and its filling, so I think I'm going to be able to stick with it. Also, I've joined the All Guilds gonna Ranger challenge, and I am going to HAVE to beat 5 miles by Sunday. Thats two morning mile runs, and one 5k on Saturday. This morning didn't go as well to plan. Last night I slept for 2 hours once I got home, because a bug has been going around school, and I was just too weak and tired So I decided I was going to sleep in this morning, and adjust my plan to run tomorrow morning (if I feel up to it), or on Thursday and Friday. Darn weather sicknesses! Just when Lotzo was giving up hope that she was ever going to break through and catch sight of her shadow, the crowds parted and she could see an emptier road ahead. Hands grabbed at her back, and the temptation of just staying with the chocolate grew almost too much to bear, but there was her shadow! Though it was an infinity infront of her, and the white ball seemed dimmer in the sunlight, she could still make it!
