Week 0, day 5

 

Food - Kept to my window! It was hard, but I battled through.

Fitness - None planned, but I was busy all day

Life - BuJo used, no Spanish

 

Fasted grocery shopping is... interesting. But I managed to stick to my list :P There was some sparkling water with different fruit flavors on sale (0 kcal, no artificial sweeteners), so I bought some. That really helped keep the cravings at bay. I took a few glasses when I got hungry this morning and it helped me push through until lunch. After dinner I got the 'that was good, let's have some more' reflex, but again: sparkling water to the rescue! :D

The willpower is strong in this one. I caved and bought ice cream today. But it's technically still weekend 0 for me, so it's not that bad, is it? (Worst part, it's not even as delicious as I thought it would be. I'll try and add some raspberries next time and see whether that helps. Yes, there'll be a next time. It's still good.)

Love your plans on taking it easy and just doing the best you can without beating yourself up if something doesn't work out. I'll need some of that mindset this challenge.

I still have ice cream on occasion, but only during my eating window. 

 

And the not trying to be perfect seems to work for me. I don't have to do everything 110% That will only burn me out.

Week 0, day 6

 

Food - kept to my eating window

Fitness - nothing planned, but I did spent some time running around in the play ground with my boys

Life - no BuJo, no Spanish. 

 

I broke my fast 30 min early because I felt hungry and stressed. But hey, it was just 30 min so I am okay with that.

I am not feeling well, I might be coming down with something. I'll take it easy until I am feeling better.

 

ETA: I did some Spanish! I just couldn't go my whole first challenge week without practicing :P

I don't allow fruits or veggies, because they make me hungrier than I already am and I go into full binch mode :P 

I do drink lots and lots of tea, that seem to help.

Week 0, day 7

 

Food - let's just forget this day, okay?

Fitness - nothing planned, but I was active enough

Live - Spanish done, BuJo used :)

 

I was sooo tired yesterday evening, but my intestines required me to stay close to the toilet (no toilet upstairs), so I went to bed late when everything calmed down. Needles to say I slept in, but I felt crappy when I got up. So I just made breakfast. From that point I got in one accident after an other. Nothing major. Just made the worst tasting smoothie ever, than spilled it all over the floor, cut my fingers twice (paper cuts, nothing major), lost a oven mitt (SH found it on my sewing machine) and so forth and so forth :P 

 

We went swimming with the boys. I had gotten into the habit of swimming with J on Wednesday and with a on Sunday, but last Wednesday the sharks were here and I don't feel comfortable going in the pool than (I know it can be done, but I'm very scared of embarrassing moments). So the four of us went. I made great progress with J (he can float on his back now without support, yeah!), and had a LOT of frustration trying to teach A how to turn his head in the water to breath. I think part of this frustration came from him going second. I had just spent 30 minutes teaching J and he had just spent 30 minutes playing with SH. So next week we're going back to our regular schedule. 

 

In the evening I went with my sister in law to the movies (bridget's jones baby). I laughed so hard tears streamed down my cheeks :D We had a great time

Week 1, day 1

 

Food - I fasted until lunch, but in the evening I decided on popcorn. Not sure if I'm sorry or not

Fitness - planned on swimming, but I was so tired I figured it would be better for me to take my rest so I can go to zumba tomorrow.

Life - Spanish done and BuJo used

 

I was so scattered today. I started unpacking the dishwasher 5 times (the 5th time I finally finished). Lots of unfinished projects in the house. I forgot everything today. 

But, the boys are still alive and even without (new) scrapes ;)

Week 1, day 2

 

Food - Yes! Stuck to my window AND made mostly healthy choices *pats herself on the back*

Fitness - ZUMBA :D 

Life - BuJo used, no time for Spanish

 

The morning was spent being very productive. The first halve of the afternoon I went through J's closet with him and tossed everything that was too small and put bigger clothes (that used to be A's) back. Since A has a habit of falling down on a regular basis there weren't many pants left, so we went shopping. Shopping with a 4 year old is hard :P , but we managed to get him some new clothes. 

The second halve of the afternoon was spent at the music school. J had a trial lesson there to see if he liked the dance class for 4 to 6 year olds. He LOVED it. The teacher was a strict ballet dancer, and she was firm but kind to the children. 

And in the evening I had a zumba class. It was lots of fun :D

Week 1, day 3

 

Food - I broke my fast an hour early, because I was so hungry. And I ate my feelings away in the evening... That hasn't happened for a while. Nothing serious, just because I'm a little stressed and tired

Fitness - nothing planned

Life - BuJo used, Spanish practiced 

 

I woke up hungry and had hunger pangs every hour this morning. I went swimming with J. He is making such great progress :) He's learning faster than his brother did. The distraction helped me from feeling the hunger too much. Afterwards we did some grocery shopping, and I took J to buy some dance shoes now that he's going to dancing lessons. He picked the pink ones off course :P  We got home a little after 11 am, J was hungry too so I made us an early lunch.

I stole Spooky's idea to split my todo list in my BuJo to morning, afternoon and evening. That really seems to help me conquer the day. I was very productive. The downside of being productive is that you get tired from it :P  And when I get tired I eat. I was a little stressed too because there is more stuff to do than that there is time to do it. But now I've eaten my feelings away and I feel a lot better. But, let's not do that again.

 

As of tomorrow I'm adding a new goal: no sugar.

And I'll be leveling up my willpower skill as a result (in the D&D pvp). I know I'm the DM right now and it won't do me any good, but in a week and a half I'll be playing, and I'm planning to have a lot of willpower by than :D

Food - Stayed within my window AND stayed sugar free :D

Life - BuJo used and I totally forgot to put Spanish on the list :P Now that I realize this I'll do some Spanish anyway

 

I had some difficult moments regarding food. But I stayed within my window and ate sugar free. I did a fasted zumba workout. And I swear, I can dance longer and harder when I'm fasted! Now I'm just bumped that there is just one morning zumba class each week :P 

 

Tomorrow is A's 6th birthday! I asked him what he wanted for dinner: pancakes with 'mommy ice cream' as desert. When I asked him what 'mommy ice cream' was he answered: the one with the cow! Ah, he ment Ben & Jerry's :P So tomorrow will not be sugar free, but I'm okay with that. I will do my best to stay within my window.
