I've decided to put a challenge up. Link here. Holiday themed of course! I need somewhere to post till I'm away so it's acting like a battle log, with some ideas for keeping active while I'm away.

It sounds like that OCR was loads of fun! Enjoy your trip :)

Honestly? I'm still smiling about it. I can't wait for the race video so I can smile about it for longer.

Why do these videos always have to pop up when I'm at work without speakers/headphones?

*Goes to check new challenge*

Brief overview for you and any others who can't or don't want to watch the video:

Last challenge was extremely successful for me, except for the week when I got sick. I hit a bench PR and a new half marathon PR and I found making the videos really helped with my confidence.

The race with the Mudstacle crew on Saturday was an absolute blast and I'm so glad I went (I gush on this in the video for quite a while as I was still on a high from it). There were games played on the course (if someone shouts "grenade" you have to get down on the floor, if "Shark" is shouted you have to get your feet off the floor) and no one took anything seriously. I can't believe that I actually considered not going as I would have missed out on the best 6k OCR I've ever done. It made me realise that I need to stop listening to that part of my brain that tells me I can't do things and just do them.

I'm so glad you mustered up 20 seconds of courage and went to the OCR and I loved the wrap up. I really enjoy the video format, but out of couriosity what's the reason for switching?

The reason for switching to videos? It started with Wild Wolfs co-op challenge where we submitted videos of us working out. I've never been comfortable with myself on film and have a few self confidence issues and filming myself turned out to be a good way to help me deal with it. It still takes me a few attempts to get a video that I'm happy with. It might be something I do now and again for post-race reviews but it won't be something I do all the time.
