CJ the (soon-to-be) Mighty
Oct. 1 Recap Saturday was Controlled Upper Body, so paused bench presses and rows, followed up with some overhead press and curls. Everything, felt good. I had a salad with dinner. So I got the veggies taken care of. I got my basement picked up, including giving my brother all of the boxes that I had used to move. 2 Quote "Destiny is important, see, but people go wrong when they think it controls them. CJ the (soon-to-be) Mighty
Oct. 2 Recap Sunday I finished my second week of the Candito Linear Program with a lower body control session of paused squats and paused deadlifts. I really like how these feel and I feel really refreshed after doing them. I got my veggies in today with a salad at dinner. As I am writing this I am re-watching season 2 of The Flash, but the current episode will be done before 8:30 and that will get me to bed in plenty of time. Finally, my parents stopped by today which meant that I spent a couple of hours cleaning the kitchen, front room, and bath rooms. So, I have a nice clean house to start the week. 3 Quote "Destiny is important, see, but people go wrong when they think it controls them. CJ the (soon-to-be) Mighty
Oct. 3 Recap Yesterday, was perhaps the most obnoxious day that I have ever had as a professional educator. The kids swore that they saw an evil clown on their way to school and it kept spiraling and spiraling, with scary clown Facebook messages and calls. In my final class, several students got Amber Alert warnings from the city I work in and they all swore the clown got the kid (they didn't - the girl and her mom were found an hour later) and there was no coming back. Yesterday, was a cardio day - no lifting. I had a salad and apple with lunch so got my fruits and vegetables in. All of the drama from the day made an early bed time an easy option, so that was taken care of. There was no cleaning - too exhausted. Someone in a clown mask snuck up on a jogger in my area (DFW,so big area, not that actually close to me) and this was after kids were talking creepy clown-sightings for a while, creepy October clown games gotta stop Quote Link to comment

I, honestly, don't think any of our kids saw a clown, they are just getting caught up in the panic. In fact, our principal read the Boy Who Cried Wolf over the morning announcements. CJ the (soon-to-be) Mighty
Oct. 4 Recap Total rest day - no workout. This was very much needed. There was a salad and apple for lunch, so continuing with the vegetables. Everything was turned off on time and I got a great nights sleep. The kitchen and dishes were taken care of, so I got my cleaning in. 4 Quote "Destiny is important, see, but people go wrong when they think it controls them. CJ the (soon-to-be) Mighty
Oct. 5 Recap I got my lifting in on Wednesday, squats and deadlifts. Feeling good. There was more salads for lunch. I continued making sure that I got to bed early, and it is feeling great. I cleaned the bathroom, so more cleaning. 3 Quote "Destiny is important, see, but people go wrong when they think it controls them. CJ the (soon-to-be) Mighty
Oct. 6 Recap I lifted again Thursday, it was upper body day so bench press, overhead press and some other accessory work. Everything felt really good. I had a full day professional development at work, which meant going out for lunch, so I didn't do my normal salad and protein shake. However, I did make sure to get my vegetables in at dinner. It was an early bed time, yet again. My wife said she really likes this particular part of my challenge. For house work, I hung some attachable lights in our pantry and bedroom closets. 4 Quote "Destiny is important, see, but people go wrong when they think it controls them. CJ the (soon-to-be) Mighty
Recap for the Past Couple of Days It was a really busy weekend, so I have been away from my challenge for awhile. I spent a majority of the weekend helping my brother move and spending time with my in-laws, so there was little to no time to lift. : ( I did make sure that I got my vegetables in, as well as little work around my house. 1 Quote "Destiny is important, see, but people go wrong when they think it controls them. CJ the (soon-to-be) Mighty
Recap for Oct. 10 There was no lifting, but I went for a walk around my neighborhood with my wife, so I got some activity in. I got my vegetables in with a salad at dinner. The TV, computer, and phone were all turned off on time and I got to bed early. I picked up and organized the front room, so the house is a little bit cleaner. 2 Quote "Destiny is important, see, but people go wrong when they think it controls them. CJ the (soon-to-be) Mighty
Recap for Oct. 11 Finally, got back to lifting - a lower body day with a lot of squats. For dinner, I had a vegetable rice soup, my wife made, so I got plenty of veggies in. I made sure that I got to bed on time and got a good night's sleep. Finally, the kitchen was picked up and the dishes ran. 4 out of 4 for the day!!! 2 Quote "Destiny is important, see, but people go wrong when they think it controls them. CJ the (soon-to-be) Mighty
Recap for Oct. 12 Continued lifting with an upper body focus - bench press and overhead press. It felt good to continue lifting. I got my veggies in with a spinach salad at dinner. I went to bed early, but had a really hard time sleeping and am pretty exhausted this morning. I had to stop and get coffee (which I have only done 1 other time this year) to get me started today. I did some picking up in the front room/dining room, so I succeeded there. 3 Quote "Destiny is important, see, but people go wrong when they think it controls them. CJ the (soon-to-be) Mighty
Recap for Oct. 13 More lifting for Thursday. Dead lift triples and light sets of squats were the primary focus. I got through it, but those dead lifts seemed to take the life out of me. Another spinach salad at dinner got me my veggies. I went to bed early and crashed hard. I woke up around midnight (thinking it was like 4 - 5 in the morning) and was so excited to have 6 more hours to sleep. I emptied all of the garbage cans and got the trash out. So the house was taken care. 2 Quote "Destiny is important, see, but people go wrong when they think it controls them. The occasional one day training is an acceptable break from the routine, but multiple days are the worst. Last year I had a 4 day training (over something that I will never be expected to do) and I felt like I was behind for the next 3 weeks. Emerald_Dragonfly
I have a love/hate relationship with training. This one was to be certified to do teacher evaluations in our state (trainer was from the Danielson Group, so pretty good). I'm not a teacher of record, so easier to leave, but I teach Intervention groups, so still have to write sub plans - everyone's least favorite thing, ever. Overall, I find PD to either be directly helpful to my job, or a complete waste of time. Rarely in between. Quote ~Emerald_Dragonfly Level 13 Warrior Link to comment
