Well, my goals are pretty simple anyway. I gotta get my eating under control. The best success I've ever seen was when I did strict paleo, a year or two ago I think. I'm not looking to do strict paleo, but I'm definitely leaning in that direction. The main things to remember will be:

 

1. No grains (except for occasional rice/granola)

2. No dairy (except for cheese, mmm)

 

I also need to focus on the quantity I eat. I tend to eat a looot sometimes. 

 

I'm gonna do my best to be strict to my two rules, but if a situation simply won't allow for it, I'll do the best I can and move on.

Me too! I'm really trying to focus on eating a dinner ratio: 4 ounces of meat + 2 cups of veggies, as opposed to 8 ounces of meat + half a cup to a cup of veggies.

It's hard.

Yeah, more veggies is definitely the key I think... is very hard though.

xD hahaha yeah! Buffets are sooo bad. Let's meet at one of those super fancy pretentious restaurants that gives you the teeniest portions.

Ok Day 0.1 - I batch cooked things and stuffs yesterday (egg muffins, chicken/roasted sweet potato/boiled veggies) and I got some amazingly ripe soft good-smelling peaches for snacks. And I ate pretty decently. Didn't overeat the pasta that mama made for dinner. Yiss.

Day 0.2 - I went to the gym this morning, HIYAH! It felt a little weak, cos I haven't been doing bodyweight workouts consistently, and also I was sick over the weekend. But HEY I did it. Kicking zero week off with a bang!

 

This Saturday is my ZAMBIE RUN! And also hopefully if I am not sick by that time, my little bro and I will FINALLY start the parkour class! We've had to put it off several times due to various reasons, and we're both getting impatient to begin! So hopefully that will be this weekend!

 

Here is my thoughts today:

:P  I too has dees troubles.  I am not willing to cut out the stoofs I loves, so am sticking to calories counting.  And as an aside....Damn you pumpkin spice oreos!

Seems like a rebel-wide problem. What helps for me is limiting my worst behaviour, 

  • only one dish of pasta, instead of 3
  • drink a few beers instead of half a case (well actually i'm going for only 2 bottles this challenge)
  • when take outs cannot be avoided, order with grace and dignity, the cashier doesn't have to think you are having a kids party, and pick the healthier choices

to name a few! Curious to see how you will do!

Aaah I have been slacking on keeping up here again! Apologies, friends! I'll try to reply to people for real once I get out of class today.

 

I've been doing REALLY WELL on food this week. I had a non-healthy meal on Wednesday for dinner, because there was absolutely no healthy food at Bible study; I had a doughnut on Thursday; and I've had a couple of slightly-unhealthy home meals, but I've done really well with portion control on those (at least, I think so??). But other than that I've been doing really well, batch cooked breakfast and lunch has been amazing, fruits and nuts for snacks, it's great. I already feel a little less bloated. <3

 

Tomorrow is RUNNING FROM ZOMBIES AND THEN PARKOUR CLASS and I'm so stoked!! :D

 

Alsoalsoalso you guys guess what I TURNED IN AN APPLICATION FOR THAT TUTORING JOB I'VE BEEN EYEBALLING!!! :D aaaaaaaahhhh~

Zambie run was awesome. I had the opportunity to meet @Rinna, since it happened to be the same zombie run she was doing! She's a cool lady. Neither of us got eaten by zombies. Success! ;)

 

Parkour was awesome. Little bro seems to love parkour so far, and that makes me so excited!!! We did precisions for Saturday's class, and he did pretty dang well. Needs to work on his flexibility, but that will come even from just doing more parkour because we do stretching every class. I really hope he continues to enjoy it. And I hope, if he likes it enough, that mom & dad will let him keep going after the intro class is done (the intro class was my gift). Family discounts are apparently a thing, so maybe that will help sway them. ;)

 

After the 3k AND parkour in the same day... I am so so so so sore. :P 

 

Alright, actual goals reporting time. Day 1.1 I ate pretty decent I guess. I was in a bad mood in the morning time, so I got a latte at the cafe where a classmate and I were working on homework. And I had a bread roll with dinner. But those are the only bad things I had yesterday.

 

Today, I have my batch cooked lunch, an apple and some almonds for a snack, and no money to potentially buy anything unhealthy with because I forgot my wallet at the house. :P

 

Any of my fellow 'Muricans watching the debate tonight?

I want to watch the debate but I know it'll just make me angry so in the effort to keep myself sane I think I'll just watch highlights on YouTube tomorrow... ><;;;

Thanks! ^_^ Yeah, some days it's really hard not to buy ALL THE PASTRIES at school... the café makes REALLY GOOD PASTRIES, too. Today it's easy, cos I forgot my wallet so I have no money. :P

I never really had sweet potatoes as a kid, cos my parents don't like them so they never cooked them for me. So I got to know sweet potatoes only recently too! I love them to death. (Same story for avocado/guacamole, and Brussels sprouts, and asparagus... I've become much more adventurous with food now that I have the money to purchase it!)

The mini challenge is finally posted! It's a distance feat this week, but I have no way to track distance right now, as I'm awaiting a replacement for my Fitbit. SO my goal is more conditioning-based: do 30 cumulative minutes of jump rope, probably broken into three chunks of one-minute intervals. It can be over multiple days, too.

 

Food is so far, so good, as like I said I have no money to buy junk food with (I wish I did, cos I'm pretty hungry). So, only dinner and any evening snacks remain!

 

DOMS are still here in full force, augh.


I'm exhausted today - I skyped with my boyfriend last night, and I didn't get to bed late, per se, but later than usual. And of course, today is the day that people at work decide to be difficult and argumentative, and problems keep arising, and all the music I play ends up taking a really sad or dark turn... Being as tired as I am, it's been quite the battle fighting off the black sticky fog that's threatening to settle over me. :sigh: Only an hour left until I get to go home though!
