I went to Russia for my honeymoon back in '13... almost everything the russians do is turned into an artform (most of the arty skills like metal/wood work is passed down generationally and the skill level is amazing)

Bowl of cereal and a scoop of whey before I went to bed. Maybe I had a quest bar at some point.  I don't remember.  The cereal I eat is the Kashi stuff so fairly healthy.  It's light and carby so good before volleyball.  I have a feeling a pound of chicken and a sweet potato would not sit as well.

 

So about that leftover chocolate that we didn't take with us......  Leftovers go to the chickens, right?

BENNNNCH DAAAAY!!!!

 

Also falafel. And I should have gotten two... No, the platter. I should have gotten the big platter with rice and everything, and now I have to have dinner #2 cause one falafel wasn't enough. That's okay tho, it was awesome!

 

Pretty simple day, warm up stuff as per, some weighted, mostly not. Bench felt good and solid, I don't think I've ever done volume so these are probably rep PRs at around 65%. Highlights included close grip bench (I've never done before), and chin ups! I did 3 on my own and had crazy grip problems, and did my sets assisted... Lou assisted! (LOU!)

3X7 Lou assisted chin ups (Basically gave my feet a platform with his Lou hands. He said it was just for kick off but felt WAY easier than unassisted, so :P)

One of the gym dudes gave me a lift to main street and turns out he's from the same area of the city as me, then I got a few groceries and FALAFEL and Mr R picked me up on his way home. (He's under the weather and needed to go to the drug store, poor boy.) So I didn't have to hike home (thank glob, I'm so tired from beeeench), and now super chill time :D

I am patient with difficult people, and even when I feel myself getting frustrated I don't loose my cool. I am able to make myself heard with a firm, but gentle voice, and don't resort to childish or passive aggressive, or flat out rude behavior. 

 

I am grateful for the people that I meet in my life that challenge my sensibilities and aforementioned reactions. I do not have to like you, but I accept who you are in that we may be different and have different world views. You are entitled to your opinions and I am entitled to not to agree with them.

Wowsa, new challenge threads are already up? I love zero week as much as the next fell-oh, but that's too soon, even for me! :P (*manically commences googling for the progressions I want to follow next challenge.)

 

So, not much to report today other than something awesome to report!!!

 

Today is basically a rainy, at home rest day, complete with grand plans for self love stuff like dying my hair and doing a self mani-pedi. Also some light cleaning and just one load of laundry. No bigs.

 

SOOOO... I wanted to get some studying in this morning first, and I finished off the chapter I was working on kinda quickly, so I reread all my notes, took a quiz, AND ACED IT!!!!!

 

I've really been struggling with confidence about doing this certification (the depression and anxiety from my breakdownish/over training thing & failing this section twice before adapting my study technique), and I needed this win. I even wooted about it, it's such a big deal for me! Truly, this falls under one of those things that I was never very good at and assumed I am not capable of. But, employing the right techniques and just showing up and doing the work... the system works!!!! 

 

This feels like really good tidings for the end of this challenge, tho it's not totally the end. Lou tomorrow morning :D Things are hapenning.

Oops. Stayed up super late watching a reality show about steampunk designers making rooms for a crazy mansion with gadgets and costumes and the middle of the night and not enough sleep for my morning session with Lou. (Lou!) 

 

Woke up at my regular mid-range weight, but lowest belly measurement since I started hitting 1600 cals on the reg :D So I immediately drank half a gallon of water, 2 cups of coffee, and a full stack of protein pancakes to be charged for my session which turned out to be full body hyper. (I'm starting to see the pattern). It was super busy and I hope that trend of Saturdays continue because I plan on doing tues/Thurs/Sats going forward and would of course love to make some new friends! (He also has a private group on FB for adult members that i'm trying to be active on.)

 

I was a zombie this morning, didn't write anything down. Here's what I remember:

 

Warm up - shuffle stuff, skipping stuff, hip stuff etc

10X25# plate Good Mornings

3X 1 legged broad jump (Stick the landing!)

10X Straight leg glute bridge (not sure how to call this...)

3X15 16kg KB High Pulls

 

3X10 20#DB Split Squats

 

This is my last workout for the challenge, and I have no interest in recapping or summarizing the whirlwind that was my 5 week zero week of chaos LOL Lots of good and bad in the mix, and it's time to move forward...

 

 

Yep, I am challenging with the Monks next go around, even tho I have a little trepidation about leaving the safety and security of my friends here... I'm starting to follow individuals and threads and all that stuff... hopefully won't be too alienating from my Warrior brothers and sisters!!!

I WILL FIND YOUUUUU!!!!!!!!
