Jedi Gets Down to Business

Alright, now the time comes to get it together. I really need to buckle down and get a handle on my food situation. That's the thing that I'm most worried about this go round. I failed my food goal last time. So here goes.

Goal 1- Track food in food log

I'm going to track everything I eat in the food log to keep me accountable. I can't skip days either. Every. Single. Day. This, in tandem with the fact that I've laid a major ban on eating and reading at the same time, should help. Especially that rule. This goal will be pass/fail.

Pass- +3 CON +2 CHA

Goal 2- 2x/week running on treadmill

This has been a great goal, I really enjoy the running even though it's difficult still. I can run a mile easily again, and do so in less than 11 mins, which I don't ever remember being able to do. So it's a very useful sort of exercise and I truly do love it. During Fall Break, I'll go on the elliptical one of the days I'm at home.

2x/week 4 weeks- +3 STA +2 DEX

2x/week 3 weeks- +2 STA +1 DEX

2x/week 2 weeks- +1 STA +.5 DEX

Goal 3- Flexibility- 6 stretching days each week

I love the feeling of becoming more flexible. I'm going to keep stretching each week and pushing myself.

6x/week 4 weeks- +3 DEX +2 CHA

6x/week 3 weeks- +2 DEX +1 CHA

6x/week 2 weeks- +1 DEX +.5 CHA

I'm also going to do weekly measurements to see how I do on things. I'd prefer to do that than primarily weigh myself, it's a better judge anyway.

Seems you got a solid challenge set up. I really like the determination i can read between the lines on Goal 1. But you do have to make sure you don't set yourself up for failure. Life has this nasty way of somehow derailing you in a way you never could have thought of at the start of a challenge. This is why i think it makes sense to leave room for one or two of those "Life-hit-me-in-the-soft-parts-today". That way you can stay on point all challenge and not be demotivated when in week 2 some catastrophe hits.

Yeah, that's why I have the goal itself as only tracking. I'm the one who knows about the bad days and the days where things are planned, but at least it's all written down for me to see how I'm doing overall.

Woke up this morning to go to the gym and realized I was completely exhausted from the weird panic attack I had last night. So I decided to sleep in, get some rest, and run on Saturday. Then I discovered that there's a football game on Saturday -_- So instead, I'm going to do a workout video on Saturday morning. If you have any suggestions, let me know!

Since my fitness class teacher isn't going to be in town tomorrow, she's having a yoga instructor come in and teach us tomorrow. So, if you send me a strength training style workout video, I will definitely be able to do it without overworking myself! I'm planning on doing a Blogilates video if I can't figure anything else out, I was just wondering if anyone else had something they recommended.

I've been eating better too! I'm so proud of myself. It took a couple of days of slowly forcing myself to make better choices so that now I'm doing pretty well :) I'm going to rock this challenge!

Blarg, panic attacks are awful. I hope you're feeling better! Resting is definitely a good idea after one of those... if you're anything like me, they wipe you out entirely.

That's great that you're doing better with food!! ^_^ *waves pom poms*

Everything going according to plan?

Hi everyone! I'm still here! I've been a little bit AWOL because I've been SUPER busy the past few days. Here's the shortest version of the past few days that I can come up with.

General: I have been doing well with my tracking and stretching! It does help. I will say that I didn't have much food handy this week, I didn't have the time or enough time at my house to justify cooking before fall break so that was interesting. I'm going to be scrounging the next couple of days though, it's not good. But I'll do the best I can within the limitations I have.

Monday: I did get a run in, it was a nice workout for the most part. I did a lot of homework too.

Tuesday: I went to a concert! I saw For Today's farewell tour. It was a great concert :) I didn't get back home until 1:30ish in the morning though, so on Wednesday I did not run. I've been doing lots of homework to keep up/ get ahead. I'm making the second run optional for the next two weeks since I don't really have access to a treadmill at home. I'll try to figure out something I can do instead, but I'm going to make spending time with my family a priority.

Wednesday: Like I said, I didn't run yesterday. But my eating was pretty good, everything has been pretty good in regards to eating over the past week or so.

I'm a little nervous about what on earth to eat tonight. I don't have enough food, and I've already had Subway once this week and I'm going to have it for both lunch and dinner tomorrow because that's kinda the cheapest and healthiest food I can find. I'll figure something out though, even if all I can eat for dinner is dumplings.

Otherwise going strong keep it up!

So there's this place near work called "Miso Sweet" and it's a ramen and donut shop. So I got 'real' ramen for the first time :) It was pulled pork, noodles, bamboo shoots, scallions, and an egg. :) Yummy! I'd never really had "real" ramen before. I felt like I was in Ponyo. I plan on getting a footlong sub at lunch and eating half for lunch and half for dinner.

Mmmmm!  Real ramen is soooo different from packet ramen!  I need to keep trying it- the first time I had it, I had some beef, and there was just tons of beef-fat in it.  That didn't go over well for my sensitive palate hah!

Good job adjusting to the shift in schedule.   Keep hanging in there until you can catch a breath and think about some foods. :)

Okay so I went home for the weekend and am doing fairly well :) I weighed myself this morning (I forgot to yesterday) and I was at a much lower weight! I won't trust it until I go back though because different scales are different. And I dunno if it's a real loss. Unfortunately, I managed to forget my measuring tape -_- so I can't do measurements this week, at least not until tomorrow night. But oh well. I'm gonna go poke around to see if my mom has a measuring tape somewhere. (update: I have no clue where she could be keeping it)

My mom got me my first pair of LuLaRoe leggings O_O OMG they're wonderful. they're super flattering too :) I'm a happy camper ^_^ I'm gonna wear the hell out of those leggings. I think I'll need to hand wash them and hang them up regularly since I'll never remember to put them in with my clothes b/c I'm gonna wear them so often.

I didn't get any workouts in, and I did miss a day of stretching. But it's okay, I'm getting life taken care of and spending time with my family. We got a lot of wedding stuff taken care of honestly, which I seriously needed to do. I'm also getting a lot of readings taken care of for class. So lots of useful time spent, I don't regret the lack of the workouts really. This is just as important right now.
