Spooky completes a challenge

I've been rather absent here recently. Life has been throwing a lot my way. I am still trying to keep my head above water. 

 

So for now, I would just like to make it through a full challenge. No big goals, just taking it one day at a time. 

 

I had a very bad day yesterday. I've barely been exercising. Self care has been hard. 

 

So it's just another basic challenge to get my feet under me again. 

 

I'd like to try just posting here every day. Just thoughts and whatever. 

 

Let's see how it goes.

Today I want to exercise for 10 minutes. Likely a short walk or something like that. 

 

My larger goal is to try and be present. Notice small things, appreciate them.

OH wait the challenger started yesterday DERP DERP DERP. 

 

Ah well  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 

 

I'm here now. 

 

I'm thinking I might try something I used to do a bit ago, breaking my day up into morning, afternoon, and evening goals. Seemed to help since I had shorter lists per segment, and I think it helped me remain in the present. 

 

I know that today I would like to: roast butternut squash, meditate, walk a bit. So that's my starting point. 

 

I'm going to try just keeping track of how I feel each day with my new handy dandy Emotional Wellbeing Scale (created by yours truly) 

 

0- Chilling in the firey pits of Mount Doom

1- NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE

2- Lol smh kms

3- Keeping myself together with cats 

4- meh

5-  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 

6- it's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fiiiiiiiiiiiine 

7- *thumbs up emoji*

8- chill af

9- EVERYTHING IS AWESOME. EVERYTHING IS COOL WHEN YOU'RE PART OF A TEAM

10- BRB ascending to nirvana in a half lotus B)

Yesterday was strange. I feel like I was anywhere from a 3 to a 6 sort of shifting about throughout the day. Things are stressful here but I'm trying to not let it get to me and just do what I need to. I got the three things I mentioned yesterday done though so yay for that.

 

Victory this morning already! Did a Scary ThingTM and called my student loan holder to set up income based repayment....which will be monthly payments of zero lol because I'm well below their income threshold for that program. I might try to make smaller payments as I'm able and save up a bit but I have 60 days to get the paperwork in and no payments to make in that time. Big relief for sure. The lady was super nice and it went very smoothly, definitely a case of my head making things harder than they needed to be. But making small payments means it should help my credit so that's good too. Great way to start the day :) 

 

Today I need to finish a thing for my dad, go look at a couple of places, and I think my other thing will be meditation. I've got a lot of the morning left so we'll see how it goes :)

Hey spooky, I'm sorry you're feeling meh. I'm leaving a little motivational quote for you and hope it's at least making you smile a little. You're going your path in your pace. I'm sure you'll find your grove. And doing this important calls is a big step, too. I still have some mails on my to-do-list I seem to postpone every day.
