I've been testing out different mediums in my Leuchtturm1917.

I did watercolor a while ago and it made the page wavy(of course) and if you write too hard on a page before it, it leaves a mark on the page behind the watercolor page. I tried a design with colored pencils and it is easy to use pen over it but boy do I hate drawing in colored pencil. I also used acrylic paint on my most recent NF Challenge page and it didn't bleed or make the pages wavy.

I know, right?  Just the concept of the index and collections is enough to make me a happy (and somewhat more organized) soul. :D

I totally forgot to post in this thread. Oops. Anyways, I started a bullet journal very recently. Here's how I handled putting my current challenge in there.

I think I'm going to try something more interesting next challenge. I just need to figure out what that something is...

I tried this and I spent so much time trying to get the organization / layout / pages right that I completely lost my journaling habit and all of the good things that went along with it, so I went back to just a normal journal where I just write and dgaf how it looks :)

I vaguely still use the daily system with the bullets and arrows and circles but that's it.

Yeah, the bullet journal system should come with a warning and a disclaimer about all the prettiness.  I just love the indexing. :D

I was summoned here by @Bookish Badger's mention of me. And yeah, I'm in love with the Hobonichi Planner. I use bujo-esque ideas about bullet symbols, carrying forward tasks and such, but I didn't like having to make my own layouts or day pages because it felt like too much of a time sink for something that never looked as nice as the premade templates in commercial planners.

The Hobonichi has a page per day, plus spreads for monthly calendars and a year-at-a-glance section. And it's functional and compact and it's on tomoe river paper, which is my favourite. Don't get a stationery nerd started on paper...

In addition to using the daily pages for appointments and tasks, I treat it as a kind of artsy microjournal where I make note of the day's events and how I felt. Really useful for unpacking the day and calming myself as part of my newly instituted evening routine. And when looking back on previous days I get a lot of insight into my patterns.

Here's how I'm using the monthly calendar pages to track my NF challenges:

I'm sort of doing the same. If I have time to sit down, come up with a layout, figure out what colors to use, etc then I'll do a pretty page. Lately though it's been a quick daily log so I can stay semi organized. Lol

I started one since finding this thread and LOVE IT. So much. Mine isn't pretty, really, it's just the basic system.

Something about the index, page numbers, and having all the lists in one place just makes it all come together.

Love it.

Hi! So this is the tracker/spread for my challenge, but have since made adjustments to it (like, vegetables and meal prep are not counted, and became Y/N boxes). Found it really helpful to stay on.. track.

.....

Anyway.

Oh, I use a A5 traveler's notebook insert as fitness bullet journal.

There is never a sudden revelation, a complete and tidy explanation for why it happened, or why it ends, or why or who you are. You want one and I want one, but there isn't one. It comes in bits and pieces, and you stitch them together wherever they fit, and when you are done you hold yourself up, and still there are holes and you are a rag doll, invented, imperfect. And yet you are all that you have, so you must be enough. There is no other way.

I love @Kimnara's headers in that last post! The whole page is so neat and tidy.

Practice? :) My normal handwriting is pretty neat but some of the fancier fonts take a lot of practice, at least for me.

So I'm testing out a new layout for my weeklies and I'm not loving it. Have you guys tried a layout or page that you just hated?

Not exactly hate... But doing a weekly/daily layout at the beginning of the week does not work for me. It takes too much time. So I just have a simple layout(?) that I do every morning. I can take a picture later if anyone wants to see it.

Practice. I think there's also tutorials for the fancier stuff. And some people use stamps.

For my non daily stuff, I'll write it in pencil first, and keep erasing and trying again until I get something I like. And hope I don't mess up when I trace over it in pen!

This is my minimalist set up for a 4 week challenge I'm starting today (I just respawned in the middle of a board challenge, oh well). Quite happy with how it turned out, and the minimal effort of set-up. My goals could be a little clearer; I'll expand on them in my battle log but there is enough for me to know what I'm doing here. I added in a 50 squat per day challenge from Darebee. Under measurements I'm going to draw a little line graph of inches gained and lost overall during this time. I'm trying to worry less about relationship to gravity and more about my relationship to the clothing I own.  N= Nutrition, F= Fitness, M= Mental, L= Life
