Friday hung out with @Haikoo @maigrey and @Amdhiel and talked about CAMP and implementing change and goals for the future Saturday I had the lazies and the sads, but got over it and made it to the tiny apartment gym for a quick bro sesh. Bench +farmer walks + curls = happy Marissa Then the bachelorette party was Saturday night! We started at a pizza place with stand-up arcade games then went back to my place for pokemon drinking games and cake and shenanigans. Overall a great time had by all and I stayed up way too late. Sunday I slept through half the afternoon and watched 3 episodes of Luke Cage before I dragged myself off the couch to do some shopping. Tonight I've got gymnastics. I also really need to go grocery shopping and prep lunches. Also, laundry....ugh. I had one where the set was really good, but I think the set kind of scared me and the flip went everywhere. The others the flips were good, but the sets were not, so I traveled too far. Mostly doing combos of back handspring + back tuck, but some just SBT. Also a few roundoff back handspring for good measure. Then some press handstand work and core conditioning at the end. Also, grocery store and meal prepped by roasting some veggies. Either I 1) used too much oil, or 2) had too high of vegetable density on the pan because they turned out fairly soggy. I've never roasted vegetables before (except as part of a recipe) I just kind of coated in oil and seasoning and then spread out on the pan and baked. Hopefully they still taste fine. What temp did you roast them on? I really only roast broccoli and cauliflower but I find that if I use too low a temperature then they get soggy rather than crispy. I bought a oil spritzer and fill it with olive oil and very lightly spray my veggies. Then I roast them at 425-450. Id rather them to brown up a bit at the high temp than be soggy. They get soggy enough sitting in the tupperware containers after. I don't care much for the heel for powerlifting movements, but it's a godsend for the occasional chaos of Cleans & Snatches. My Nano 6s feel dramatically more stable than my 4s so I might switch to them for my back/front squats and see how that feels. I think my problem was overcrowding/density. I reheated them tonight and put half on the same pan that I used to roast originally and they turned out fine. Since my chucks are pretty much shot and it's decided I don't really like the lifters for squatting, maybe I'll give those a shot. I'm finding it's easier to hit depth and I also have the ankle mobility to squat in flat shoes. Day 2.2 Yesterday was a great day Started the morning with sumo deadlifts, which was the first time I had done sumo in a while, but they were feeling good so I went with it. A little bit of energy leak from the bar traveling forward/back, but sumo is way more technical than conventional so that is to be expected. Work. Lunch with @Amdhiel and 1 more NF nerd, one not yet NF nerd. We talked space and nerd stuff and ate food and a great time was had by all. She also reminded me to do my mindful moment so props to her. Finished up my work day and headed home for the evening where I proceeded to roast chicken for dinner, do laundry, do my hand, wrist, elbow mobility, and then handstand practice. Followed by reading Batman in bed with a Spotted Cow.
