Erza Scarlet
Challenge 2! I'm going to focus on my chocolate cravings this challenge. Since it is a huge deal for me I'm going to go easy on the other quests this challenge. How could this happen? Erza's friends have been kidnapped by the Strawberry Cake monster! But the monster is able to control her if she has any remnants of the cake inside her. And it takes an average of four weeks for the digestive system to completely eliminate a trace of strawberry cake. This means... this means... Her beloved cake has betrayed her! After all this time! If only she had eaten cake in moderation rather than scoffing it down everyday, she wouldn't be in this mess. Its time to say goodbye to her beloved cake and defeat this monster! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So yeah, replace cake with chocolate and I have a big problem. I've decided to go cold turkey for the month. If it doesn't work, I'm going to to try some moderation tips people on here have recommended me. I've tried moderation before and it didn't work, so I'm not going to try that unless I really have to. Quests to defeat the monster: Strength: Level up to defeat the monster - Continue weight training at the gym 3x a week. - Continue with chiropractor stretches Diet: Get rid of my beloved Strawberry Cake from my system so I can fight the monster - Don't eat chocolate for a month - Have 2 portions of veg instead of high carbs (I had 1 portion min. in previous challenge) Journal: Study weaknesses the monster has I'm looking up ways to kill the Monster, not make more cakes, I swear! - Log thoughts everyday (my counsellor has said this should help with my depression and anxiety). I'm nervous about doing this challenge, but I really need to get this chocolate addiction under control. At the rate I'm eating it I'm bound to get diabetes. And losing some weight would be nice too. Though I'm more concerned with the actual addiction, because I have a feeling I'm just going to replace the chocolate with other junk food. But that's for another challenge. 1 Quote About me Challenges: #1, #2, #3, #4, #5 Current: #6 Link to comment

Xanatos
As someone who suffers from depression and anxiety, and who indulges in really unhealthy food habits to deal with it, I really respect your decision to try and reduce your chocolate habit. Keep up the good work! 2 Quote Link to comment

Haha yeah the fanservice can get a little too much at times, but I tend to just ignore/laugh it off after a while. I wouldn't be able to enjoy the show otherwise. Keep up the good work! Thanks, depression and anxiety really does make it hard to eat good. I know I'm just going to replace the chocolate with something else, but it's a start I guess. I appreciate the support. Quote About me Challenges: #1, #2, #3, #4, #5 Current: #6 Link to comment

Erza Scarlet
Day 4 Strength: - Rest day (going to gym tommorow, don't worry ). - Did stretches Diet: - Had no chocolate. - My frozen vegetables didn't taste right so I didn't eat them. :/ Journal: - Journalled I felt horrible today. I woke up and felt like crap. Then felt what a mess I was in life. Everything feels like it's going wrong. I had counselling today and she said it seems like I'm catastrophising everything. She's probably right, but I still felt bad. And, well, this is going to sound really pathetic, but now that I've gone 4 days without chocolate, I've noticed how much of a support it was for me. I used it to numb all the depression and anxiety I suffer from. This is probably why I'm feeling sh*t (are we allowed to swear on here?). Or at least I'm noticing how I'm really feeling. Hopefully things will get better... hopefully... . Quote About me Challenges: #1, #2, #3, #4, #5 Current: #6 Link to comment
Erza Scarlet
Day 5 Strength: Did go to the gym today, wasn't lying. - Step Up: 4x8/side - Dumbbell Overhead Press: 4x8, 24kg. Getting better as this.- Bent Over Dumbbell Row: 4x8, 24kg. So did this, but I'll have to keep at it for now. - Chin up machine: 5x6, 2 reps of (attempted ) chin-ups. - Did stretches Diet: - Had no chocolate. - Vegetables Journal: - Journalled Felt a lot better today for some reason. maybe talking my feelings out and writing it down helped yesterday (and a really long walk). I also felt more in control of my cravings today. I'm starting to notice what I'm actually craving, e.g. hunger so a proper meal, thirsty so water, etc. 1 Quote About me Challenges: #1, #2, #3, #4, #5 Current: #6 Link to comment
Stellakin
Wooooo, such great progress! Congrats on having no chocolate especially; I failed at that one today, haha! Funny how you begin to tune into your body and work out when you're actually hungry, etc, isn't it? Anywho, super well done! 1 Quote Stella :: Sprightly Elf :: Level 1 Me! :: Battle log :: Challenge Link to comment
Erza Scarlet
Thanks! Well I sometimes eat non-chocolatey biscuits to replace my sweet tooth when nothing else quite hits the spot, or if I'm feeling so low that I just need something sweet right there and then. I think that's how I've been holding out for so long. (lol it's only been 5 days. ) But yeah, I am eating more proper food and starting to learn what the source of the cravings are. Erza Scarlet
Day 9: Great day at the gym! Increased Romanian deadlift to 50kg! I also found my side planks surprisingly easy today. And I did 10 pushups (I could already, but was getting tired after 8 so that's why I was doing 8 for a while). Weird day to make gains though because I hadn't really eaten much beforehand, but I don't mind. Strength: - Pushups: 3x10. - Romanian deadlift: 3x10, 50kg! Was tiring but I managed to do it. - Ring rows: 3x10. - Side plank: 2x30s. - Chin-up machine: 5x6 assisted, 5x2 attempted (i.e. pulling myself up1cm ). - Did stretches Diet: - Had no chocolate. - No vegetables and more katsu curry. Gahhh I really need to get in control of this. Journal: - Journalled Quote About me Challenges: #1, #2, #3, #4, #5 Current: #6 Link to comment

Erza Scarlet
Day 12 Strength: - Step Up: 4x8/side. Tried a higher box to make it harder. And it was definitely harder! I was sweating and exhausted afterwards. - Dumbbell Overhead Press: 4x8, 24kg. Getting there.- Bent Over Dumbbell Row: 4x8, 24kg. Easier than overhead press. - Did stretches Diet: - Had no chocolate. - Damn I forgot about vegetables Journal: - Didn't journal. Still felt a bit sick, but better than yesterday so went to the gym. For some reason my left arm struggled more with the press than my right arm, I have no idea why. And I'm noticing I'm not very good at sticking to mental health quests - both this journal quest and last challenge's mindfulness quest. Don't know if that says something about my state of mind...
