Ten Things Perpetually Healthy Nerds Do

Gone are the days of drastic changes to my identity and habits. I am worthy of love and respect while I continue to grow. I build on my prior successes, ie my morning flow.

I am recovering so that I can bless those around me and glorify my Father.

Like Edna's declaration against capes, diets may be popular and flashy, but they've been the destruction of too many heroes. I will not be sucked back down into this trap.

I collected a lot of underpants here in the past, but now I am embracing progress (not perfection) in the areas of full permission, educated hedonism, and intuitive eating.

Instead of perfectionist pursuit of all or nothing goals (for me - whole 30, P90x, etc), I've found blueprints for healthy choices and focus on the habits that support them (ie missions in Rising Heroes).

PROGRESS

I'm finding that simple weight training circuits, walk/hikes, yoga, and other bodyweight movements feel good when I take all the metrics, expectations, and shoulds out of them.

My d20 reward system is helping me to pace this. I'm also investing in courses and coaches that support my ongoing growth (Wim Hof, Amy Clover, Rising Heroes, etc)

Rising heroes helps me with this, but it's still definitely an area for growth when life starts getting in the way.

I'm now aware of some of my kryptonite - perfectionism, metrics, expectations, and avoidance.

Basically, I'm realizing once I've spun off the track what the banana peel was that I hit and looking forward to when Lakitu shows up. This is still retroactive.
