Gotta recommend Yoga with Adrien to you! I started with her videos a year ago (I've been doing yoga for one year three months now, woah) and her videos are perfect for learning the postures and doing gentle yoga in an easy pace. Give it a try; she has a couple of programmes (30 days of yoga, Yoga Camp) that are awesome! And she's very real, it's fun to follow her videos [emoji3]

I second the Yoga with Adrien as she's behind "Yoga for Hangovers" and "Yoga for Couch Potatoes"

I think she's the one with the yoga for when you're sick too.  I like all the poses that involve a pillow.

When I went to buy bag gloves for pugilism they were out of men's medium so I had to get women's XL and they're still a bit tight.

If I want tougher glove material, men's is the way to go!!

I also have to say that this is such a wise way to look at your health journey! Last month, I started seeing myself as my own leader: I don't create restrictions to myself, but I lead myself within guidelines that will take me where I want to go. I think that what you write means that you're ready to take an active role in your journey: you'll go where you want, instead of avoiding things that are set in your way. I'm curious to see where you're going! :)

Yay!! Thank you! That's a great way to describe it.

That sounds lovely. Does it involve popcorn and napping?

Yes ''Yoga With Adrienne'' is a great channel with lots of different videos with different vibes. You get everything from ''weight loss'' yoga and more grounding flows. It's lovely.

Three check marks for Adrienne. :) thank you!!

Yesterday, I resumed my war against the back yard. The swale is finally clear! I wore better gloves, but I still got some scratches and poison ivy where my shirt met the gloves. I also feel sick today from pushing myself too hard, but honestly, if I could go back, I'd do it the same way. Plus, by the end of the day, I could do a full squat and work. I was totally geeked about that.

I know that I'm obsessed with the yard, but it's healing work for me. Cutting away hurtful things and throwing them over a ledge feels empowering. And yes, the space is empty afterwards, and kinda raw looking with the roots being dug out and all, but it's able to be what it's meant to be, and after the heavy rain today, I feel good about it.

My yoga tshirt came! It is skin tight!! Too tight to wear even at home, but I love it! It's going to become a marker of success in my weight loss journey. We'll celebrate when it fits!

I hope you have a wonderful day. I'm going to take a nap and then later....nap some more!! :)

Not literally as thick, but at times, figuratively. I like the headstand phrase, even if my phone just turned "headstand" to "headstone"  eeeeeeeeeeeek!!

Thanks for being here :)

The poison ivy has Blistered. and is ITCHY. also, I have injured my foot somehow. I have full range of motion, but it feels like I have a massive bruise in the top, and is sore when I wiggle my toes.

Yoga felt both good and horrible. stretching out the sore bits, and new sore bits popping up. strengthening exercises were hard. I'm feeling a little bummed out. I think this calls for the Big Guns-reading a book in a hot bath.

Tomorrow will be better. :)

A book and a hot bath will not only soothe the soul but also help with aching muscles. I hope that will help you feel better soon. Good job on the yoga, by the way. :)

Thanks! Advil was more effective, but the soul soothing was pretty wonderful. :)

Today is a rest day. My foot still hurts, and I found more poison ivy spots on my body. I felt tired. yeah, like italicized font tired. I slept for two hours this afternoon, which usually doesn't happen until ...wait. wait. oh.

 Shark Week approaches.

well, now that I figured THAT out, lets get back to Rexy

SLAP FIGHT!

Can you believe it's the beginning of November already? Where did this year go? Yeah, I know what happened this year. In my planner I wrote "Forgive myself and move on" a few months ago, and it was pretty wonderful to open the book and see that. Past Me totally knows I go into a "List All the things you didn't do and then feel shitty about it"  place when November hits. So, instead of ruminating, I am going to finish knitting this hat, get some laundry done, stretch my legs, and put off major decision making for a week. :)

Oooh and this scarf. I'm gonna knit that too!!

I love that message past you wrote to present you - that's a real gift you gave yourself there! And such a pretty autumnal scarf! What shade are you thinking of knitting it in?

Right? I love me for writing it :D:D

I am SO excited about the scarf. I'm using a bulkier yarn- Lion Brand Unique yarn in the color "Jewel".  I originally bought it to make this modular cowl, but the pattern wasn't matching the picture, so I'm going with the Column of Leaves, because the colors will be pretty, and enough people have done this pattern that I know I won't be swearing at it. ;)   Which reminds me! I need to update my ravelry page (dreamy sighs)
