But you've been my inspiration from day one! So we form a circle... :P

I love the challenge with Youngest! I'm stealing the idea. I'm trying to get my two boys to at least walk with me, not to mention practice some self defense. The only thing that will definitely get them moving is if I tell them they can win a block of chocolate (or Youngest a can of Coke - even worse!) at the end of the week if they do everything with me. Otherwise not even their favourite toy/Skylander character as prize is motivation enough at the moment.

that's a lovely circly :)

Yes, steal ahead!! Kids can be so competitive (grown kids like me too) and it does really help. This week she hasn't yet pulled in much, I have to keep reminding her and might have to help her a bit again, like I did last week - train some vocab together and then she is enjoying it and continuing on her own. Together time doesn't count into the challenge though, otherwise I wouldn't stand a chance :D

Let me know how it works with your boys. I'm very curious about that!

Is your battle log already up?

nope... as soon as I went into the battle log forums my mind went blank and I couldn't think of any theme or start or whatever.... hmpf

Decided to get up and do something else instead, tackled laundry, noticed the bath needed cleaning, made a fire in our wood stove, realized the kitchen was a mess... by the time I looked at the watch again lunch was due. How does that always happen??

Anyway I got a lot done = feel good

Wacked my brain around postage costs and times for the little shop on my new website (selling CD Sets with my meditations, yay, some art and the books I had translated), measured, weighed, and found a tricky VAT challenge on the downloads, but decided my tax consultant will have to help me sort it :P

Got insurance stuff handled for the orthodontic costs of kids braces, notified the Health department about moving my healing pracitioner address to new place in January (we have to move office, hubby and me used to share, now he is moving into a new room and I'll work from home only), sent out ordered books and cds, caught up on all emails AND am one step closer to getting my programs from my old notebook across to the new one, yayyyyyyyy

Who knew it's so cumbersome to get photoshop, wavelab and others across from one notebook to the next... guess the old one running on Windows 7 and the new one on Windows 10 is not helping ;)

Anywho, it was a very satisfied firedragon marching to choir last night and choir rehearsal was super yummy :)

But, yea, still no battle log...

Thanks.

Maybe I should expand it and set up loot like you have for rewards :) If I offered her nice leggings, she would push a lot harder, I guess. I wouldn't mind some either ;)

Saw these recently and got very tempted:

Nice job of getting stuff done! Though I didn't realise people still bought CDs. :P

You buy the cd, then put a copy on a USB stick. The cd stays unscratched and you can chop and change your music list. The risk is too if you only have music on your harddrive (computer) and the electricity cuts out as often as it sometimes do here, of files corrupting, etc. Well that's what hubby and I do. I just bought myself a cd from Home Free for Christmas! And sometimes popping that cd into the player and listening in the kitchen while cooking, etc. is just tops. But I'm maybe old fashioned that way :P

Yep totally old fashioned. :P I haven't even owned a CD player in years! :D I use a combo of external hard drives for backups and Spotify.

I only heard about Spotify the other day. Don't have a clue what it is about. :P One day...

I actually ordered them now, squeeeeeeeee

They were on a huge special, so I bought them now, but I might just keep them aside and make them bait for some goals or even my win at the challenge between my daughter and me, offering her a juicy price in return... will see.

But yay, I ordered :D

You'd be surprised! Quite a few people do still love holding something physical in their hands, and also some of my clientel is older and prefers the technology they are more familiar with ;) Another reason is, when someone wants to give them as a gift to others for Christmas, then it's also nice to have something to physically hand over.

You keep reminding me of blessings I take for granted :) Like electricity being reliable so much of our time, wow am I glad!

I'm also a little old fashioned in such ways :D For instance I still love the touch and smell of a book in my hands as nifty as ebooks are

look it up!! It's really nice. I love the song radio option and listening to my kids playlists for new music and have discovered a lot of great music that way.

Just a brief update, because I am not hiding again :) Still here, just no battle log yet...

I might lose again to my daughter this week :P While I am actually having an awesome week!

Monday yoga at home happened plus a short set of kettlebell swings, so that is 34 min to count onto our challenge.
Tuesday I went to yoga class and this time it felt quite challenging there but I didn't feel anything at all the next day (last week it was exactly the other way round... mysteries). It was great but that doesn't count for our challenge

Wednesday was packed full work day, no movement happened

Thursday was so stunning outside and I had managed so much on Wednesday that I took half of Thursday morning off and went for a long, amazing walk in frosted over fields and forest. Pics might follow, but I don't want to make you too jealous ^_^ :P

Hubby was super jealous, so I got him to finally go hike with me again on our Fridays (yay, funny how things turn into more things) and Friday we went for a short hike up a close-by mountain.

Not as stunning because the frosting had melted, but beautiful anyhow and I can feel a bit of stamina coming back. Hubby felt his legs later, I didn't :triumphant:

What happens this morning? My boy walks in and asks "So, should we go up a mountain today?" I started laughing and he looked at me funny, but I quickly told him, that I love him asking that questions and even though other things had been on schedule, we'd make a plan. The thing is that in the past, we'd go hike all together as a family and if that wasn't going to work, because someone had to be elsewhere, we'd move it to a later day. But that just leads to us hardly ever going <_<

So today I thought, why not go just him and me? Hubby went to sort out the lights and other things for his new office, eldest had to study, I drove youngest to her friend to play for the afternoon and looked up a close-by hike for my boy and me. Win win all around.

We walked very leisurly for over 3 hours, caught a few pokemon, but mostly had great conversation and fantastic view. Already told hubby that will be our walk for next Friday :)

Unfortunatelly for my challenge, no walks count in and no classes I go to either, as daughters homework and school hours don't count either. So pole class on Thursday was great, but I still have no more to list on our sheet than what I did on Monday :lol:

Which is fine. I had an awesome week, so I don't care one bit.

Well, maybe a tiny bit

but then again, it's not yet over, one more day to go ;)

Sending happy hugs to all of you and will catch up some more later. Checking out now for family time with pizza and Bavarian comedy

Glad you had such a great week, even if you do (maybe) loose to your daughter yet another week. To get them inspired I'll be willing to loose (only just) every week. :P

I've actually ordered from lotus leggings before - they look just like the picture, but they're really cheap material, lol. But since they're cheap to buy too, it didn't really bother me xD

How wonderful that your son wanted to go hiking with you and then you actually did it. And your daughter doing yoga with you!

He's genuinely happy to go hike now most days, which is so wonderful. Today we went all five of us and youngest complained for 2 minutes maybe but then we all enjoyed :)

My daughter is not doing yoga with me, no, but we found a way to make her do her school extras like latin vocab and maths practice versus me doing home workouts with yoga, strength training or pole. If she practises on her flute recorder it counts as well. We both count in minutes and see who accumulated most over the week. She won the first week by far (46 minutes more than me) and then rested on her laurels in week 2 as I had given her those 46 minutes as headstart into the new week.

I couldn't let that happen and beat her with 92 minutes in total, so now I had a headstart of 46 :P

She got off her bum and we had a close run in week 3 which I won by 6 minutes only and last week I lost to her by 3 minutes. It's great fun for both of us and really helpful!

And I can actually only win :) I'm really happy when she wins because it means she trained for school or recorder, so yay

We even upped the stakes now: I ordered a bunch of those pretty leggings and can win one each for each week I win while each week she wins, she can choose a little Schleich toy (beautifully crafted animal toys she loves to play with) in the lower price range. Or save up and get a bigger one instead of two small ones. It will cost me I can see it coming :D but she is over the moon and more motivated than ever. Which will kick my own bum into action again, so yay...

3 hours outdoors with your boy sounds like is own kind of win.  i miss living in an area with hiking opportunities.  Walking in the woods is easily my favorite outdoor activity.

Definitely is!

Mine too :)

and I still won the challenge as I did a nearly full hour kb workout for beginners :P

Thank you! I didn't loose this time, but it kicked her into action so it was good. She didn't mind and last week she won :)

oh okay, well I kind of suspected that and as you say it's not a big loss then... still they are cute so I'm excited anyhow :) Are they comfy? Still waiting for mine to arrive in the mail, but I guess they need a while from US to Germany... and I still first have to beat my daughter in our challenge to get any :P

How's your swimming going btw? It really made me think, it is such a great fun thing to do that I could build some stamina again with and could take the kids along. Will try to plan it in for then and again an afternoon in the new year.
