Beat our first boss!

Recommended Posts

Aerick, the warrior, and Szefph, the druid, made their way to the cave of the infamous Widowmaker on a damp, autumn morning. Their stomachs were empty, but nerves kept them from feeling the pangs of hunger. As they made their way to her lair, the ravenous goblin natives howled and did their best to make them turn back.

They entered her cave and gave each other pep talks as they passed the threshold. The first barrier they faced was a chasm of darkness, requiring planks to cross it. Holding steady, they made their way across the side planks, determined to find the foul beast and destroy it.

Up ahead, through her webs that seemed to drain their energy as they passed through them, they could see her. Foul and horrid, she seemed impossible to destroy. The beast charged and the the warrior stepped to the front and lunged at her.
His lunges broke through the webs to strike first blood! The Widowmaker roared in fear. "If it bleeds, we can kill it." he mumbled through his beard. Szefph, and her nature magic pressed him onward, and when it was her turn to lunge through the webs, she made an impressive strike by making her legs as strong as granite.
They knew victory was in sight. The Widowmaker was wounded, severely.

But even though she was wounded, that unholy monster had one last ploy, she grabbed the heroes and dragged them down into her feeding chamber, dying as she did it, but forcing the heroic duo to push themselves up to escape.

The struggled was fierce, and their arms burned with pain as they pushed their bodies up, but they did it! They were free! And what is that up ahead, glimmering in the minuscule light of the cave? TREASURE! They opened the box to find a +1 Bar of Pullups, a Sturdy Box of Standing, and a map...a map to the evil lair of

THUNDERLORD OVERSQUAT! A new storm is brewing on the horizon. For now, our heroes will rest, and soak in the adulation of the locals.

Thanks.

And right after that Aerick, the warrior, and Szefph, the druid went to the tavern of Thanksgiving and a calamitous time, drunk on their own success.

We skipped a couple workouts while we had family in town for Thanksgiving, had a break-in, a back injury and because we had broken our habit of early morning workouts we didn't have that to feel good about. So instead we fell back to old habits.

If I'm keeping the D&D aesthetic, we got attacked by undead and suffered a level drain.

We're a week in on building new habits. And still gunning for Thunderlord Oversquat.  Let the training begin...
