Machete
So found on the accountability report that I tend to lose a lot of hours attempting to sleep and that Wednesday and Friday (which are my days off) are usually wasted on lollygagging and BS, probably because deep inside I feel like I deserve to decompress because I have to wake up at 4:30 on Tuesday and Thursday, and end up taking it too far. I'll have to find a way to address those. Situational awareness. Went to a Chinese Weightlifting seminar on Saturday, and I found out how much I suck at Weightlifting. Can't get the timing on the second pull. Also, for the Instagram and Facebook followers, there was an actual job interview, but it was at a CrossFit gym, so I didn't actually wear that. (The tie and slacks were for a class presentation.) 3 Quote Valar Morghulis Halfling Monk, Chaotic Neutral Machete's Blog: Inside A Mad Mind Third World Warrior: The Eight-Year Training Log Link to comment

I no longer drink soda, but I remember how hard it was to stop. One thing I used to do was get sparkling water instead of soda (actually, this is my go to now when I want something other than water through the day). DarK_RaideR
I was never into soda, but I remember Teros' story of the RPG Fanatics and Sodamus, a demonic goblin-king that mixed the pus from festering blisters on his skin with loads of sugar to create "soda" drinks that had the population addicted, fat and lethargic. Haha --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So rough week. Finals, which I'm not really confident about, then my final Literature Review--the Colossus I've been trying to dodge the past semester but eventually had to face. It was a hell of a grind, but I finally got it done and submitted at 12am on the dot. 23-something pages in two days (because my time management sucks). Arguably the biggest boss I'd have to face in my Masters program. Now I'm just waiting for my grades. If all goes well, I'll have one more course I need a B in in order to graduate. Wars like this take their toll on the body. But I believe this acute stress may be good for us in the long run, as long as we allot enough time for recovery after. It's that chronic, low-level stress that slowly wears us down and then creeps up on us later, and we drop dead at 55 out of nowhere. Soda quitting was almost a success. Finished the last can of Ginger Ale on Sunday, then had to fuel my college paper-writing with pizza and Mountain Dew, so Thursday and Friday were out. Otherwise, no soda. We'll see how it goes next week. 2 Quote Valar Morghulis Halfling Monk, Chaotic Neutral Machete's Blog: Inside A Mad Mind Third World Warrior: The Eight-Year Training Log Link to comment

I'm just showing up for a workout tomorrow. I usually put my internet creeping skills to research the company and potentially my interviewer. (The latest one was a pretty new company, so there wasn't much info.) It's always the same though, they see a stacked résumé so they schedule an interview. Then they are treated to my social skills, which currently has about a 91% success rate of being a deal-breaker. Meh. Life. peelout
Can I ask what type of work you are interviewing for? I used to want to type up my answers to the most popular targeted interview questions and when asked they asked the first one say "here, I typed the answers up for you so we could save time and you could ask me something that was more meaningful". Probably not the right thing to do though. Would have been fun to do at a job I had no desire to get though. Quote Current Challenge We are what we repeatedly do.
