Gained another 1.5# overnight? I think I might have screwed up my BC regimen when I filled my pill box this weekend, so that might be the weight gain. I don't *think* I saw it when I popped them in my mouth this morning but I'll double check when I get home and remedy that if so. I'm on a progesterone-only-pill so it's the same dose 24/7/365 (no free weeks) and I'm sure my body wouldn't enjoy missing it. Even if that didn't happen and the pills are correct, i have some light spotting and clearly my hormones have decided to take the wheel early, normally I don't gain pre-period bloat until the 15th of the month.

I didn't workout until 7:30 pm and then I went grocery shopping afterwards, so an evening snack was a necessary evil.

 

Tai Chi starts tonight and I'm looking forward to that.

Tuesday cals: 1963 cals

 

My pills were fine, so my body has just gone rogue.

 

Made healthy dinner and for the most part stuck to my goals. I ate one cookie at work. Dinner was roasted chicken - roasted zucchini and onion - microwaved red potatoes - and a bruschetta tomato topping for the chicken and potato (tomato, onion, garlic, basil, balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper, the usssszz).

 

We went to the first session of Tai Chi (Mr T and I are going together) it was more challenging than I expected. Mainly the whole body, hand, I coordinated movement thing. But we liked it and are looking forward to progressing over time. It goes later than I realized so I was scrambling to shower and get to bed after, I'm le tired today.

 

Mental scheduling planning:



Wednesday: BB Club

Thursday: Water Aerobics

Friday: AM BB Club

Saturday: some kind of cardio, evening is wedding crafting

Sunday: Lifting

 

Some things I want to get done this weekend:

- cutting down a couple small trees

- going clothing shopping

that dinner looked delicious! i did a little bit of tai chi in college and you're right about it being hard to coordinate all those things into a fluid movement while not tensing up muscles that don't need to be tense.

Wednesday cals: 2020

 

A little bit of calorie drift there. I'm going to reign that back in today.

 

Especially since I put crockpot ham potato (not creamy) soup in the crockpot this morning. It's a variation on this recipe but without cream and then without beans because I didn't read it all way the way and I forgot to buy beans.... >_> And no I absolutely fucking did not make my own ham stock. Ain't nobody got time for that. I had leftover ham in the freezer as well as leeks from the garden from earlier in the summer. This will be a nice low calorie meal filler. I'm excited about anything that involves ham, leek, potato, and corn. https://www.afamilyfeast.com/ham-vegetable-soup/

 

I went to barbell club last night. I finally made it to week 2 of my program. So you basically say that I'm ripped now. Or at least sore?

 

Planning ahead:


Thursday: Water Aerobics
Friday: AM BB Club, PM work social, going to have to focus on networking and not eating, fill up on ham soup at lunch?
Saturday: some kind of cardio, evening is wedding crafting (same as friday, but focus on crafting and not boozing)
Sunday: Lifting, maybe seeing Predator

It was really good! I was supposed to have leftovers yesterday but I got free lunch. So I'm excited to eat it today!  I also didn't realize tai chi was almost like a classroom coordinated dance where we were all trying to do the same thing at the same time, or at least in this beginner one, and that is kind of cool.

ham, potatoes, and corn is plenty for soup! doesn't need beans. also it sounds amazing.

yes! IIRC it's similar to a coordinated yoga flow class but with more focus on breath and energy.

I'm short on time:

  • Went to my new water aerobics class last night. SO much better. Lots of swimming, actual work, actual sweating and difficulty breathing.
  • Went to BB club this morning, was crunched on time. Sweated some more rushing through.
  • I have a work party tonight at a restaurant. Will try to keep my food in check.

All weekend calories Fri-Sun are radical guesses. But I did my best to try to stay at maintenance and when in doubt only eat until pleasantly full and not stuffed.

 

Friday: work party: 2337
Saturday: wedding crafting pizza & beer: 2236

Sunday: movies & brunch, 1769 (I had salad for lunch and just in general was feeling full and maybe constipated)

 

I did not do cardio on Saturday but I was busy all day. Sunday I DID not want to go to the gym, but managed to drag myself there at 7:30 pm. OF COURSE I was glad I went and I'm trying to channel those feels more and more, the feels where I know I'll be glad I worked out so just do the thing.

 

On Sunday I saw the new Predator movie and I LURVED it. It is more of an action horror comedy, so I can see why maybe some people didn't love it if they wanted it to be more serious and gritty like the original. It does make me want to go back and rewatch old ones anyway. Also I saw the preview for a movie called Overlord coming out November 9, if you like action sci-fi like me, I highly recommend watching the trailer.

It was all going really quite well until last night. well, at least the exercise is going well...

Monday: unknown quantity of calories at my work's symposium with a plethora of bite sized food stuffs and some kind of punch

 

working on course correcting today.

 

tonight is tai chi! legs are sore from Sunday's split squats, so I'm glad it's not a lifting day. also Mr T would like to do cardio tomorrow evening, so I'm going to try to leave work a touch early so I can get to the gym early and back to do cardio with him after that.
