Tuesday cals: 1800 Wednesday cals: 1964 This is long because it's two days of updates and Italian notes: I've been so constipated and bloated I haven't been able to eat as much. But my weight is still up from those two things. This morning it finally seemed like it's coming back down. I was so full yesterday I didn't really even it dinner, just had PB stuffed pretzels and some vodka bubblies. I've figured out that I get real constipated the week before my period, so I need to figure out a fiber plan for next month. Tuesday's tai chi was fun, he finally played music while we practiced. Last night I went to BB club. It's starting to feel like my squat skills are returning and the weight isn't a TOTAL joke. I'm still going gangbusters with duolingo. Today I looked up some podcasts for learning some italian so i can do it when I'm on the cardio machine. To sum up so far I'm doing... 1) duolingo on the website/app 2) slowly working through the Living Language books and CDs so I can listen on my drive home. I've discovered I can't do it when I'm driving in the morning when it's dark out because I need to concentrate on driving. So I just try to do 10-15 min a day on the way home. Maybe I'll consider sometimes going on the gym on the weekend just to do the seated bike and read the book rather than in my armchair at home? 3) starting podcasts for while on the elliptical. Jord Posted September 21, 2018 Author Report Share Posted September 21, 2018 Thursday: 2154 But water aerobics kicked my ASS, so I'm okay with it. My new water aerobics class (this was week 2) is deep water aerobics and they don't mess around. It's a good 30 min of solid swimming followed by strength and abs work. My abs are always killed by the end. HOWEVER, dealing with changing out of the swimsuit and showering etc is kind of a pain in my ass. I discovered the jazzercise near me has 5:30 am classes every day. So after water aerobics ends in late November I'm going to switch to that. It's closer, before work, and most importantly doesn't involve wet clothing. I kind of would rather just switch to that now, but I'm pretty out of shape, so at least all the work I'm doing now will get me better prepared for fit latte moms. Italian phrase of the day: fratelli = brothers. Saturday: eggs & toast, snacks like protein bars & a string cheese, a little leftover beef ragu pasta, and then nerd game night with pizza, salad, and way to much vodka Sunday: worst hangover of my life, taco bell breakfast burrito I was craving, then nothing until I ordered middle eastern combo for two takeout, I didnt eat a lot and was full. Then I fell asleep and didn't eat again after that. So my calories weren't too bad Sunday. But I didn't exercise because I was a hot pile of garbage. HOWEVER, I've got that horrible pre-period constipation where I can't tell if I'm eating too much or just haven't pooped in two days. Also, a sickness is going around work so I've given myself permission just to be nice to myself and get some rest, so I didn't do laundry last night. Tonight I"m getting groceries and going to tai chi. I feel tired and more tired. Tomorrow will be lifting and laundry. But I'm not feeling fabulous so I may just take the day off and catch up on laundry and do reading for work. I'm not full on sick yet but I feel it creepin' on me. I almost forgot! ETA to add your italian for the day. Apparently they have a whole series of hand gestures that mean specific things, so if you get bored at work... Also the one for "are you afraid" is literally like your butt muscles squeezing when you are scared so apparently you are only supposed to use that one with friends... I did miss two workouts (general fatigue with a touch of laziness) but I made it to the last two - swimming last night and BB club this morning. Tuesday cals: 2155 Last night was Tai Chi, I lifted this morning because I have to work late. AND THEN I'm going to do a sourdough baking class, which I wish I wouldn't have signed up for because $ and time, but here we are. I'm still excited though. Dinner yesterday was crockpot chicken beans and green chile type stuff, eaten with sour cream and tortilla chips. But I have earlier in the week leftovers of chicken, veg, barley to finish up for lunch today. I'm going to make fish on Friday and might try making that a thing. I don't want it to be leftovers for work because #microwavesmells but I like that it's low cal and good for you. Wednesday cals: 2155 I worked out in the morning because I was going to have a long day. I did all my lifts except step-ups, but I did do my goblet squats. Because my legs were still sore from Mondays split squats, followed by 20 min of elliptical. Calories were high because I TOOK A SOURDOUGH CLASS. And it was delicious and amazing and how could I not. I should not have, but I did eat some dang on pile of ding dang tasty bread. I have my starter now and shits about to get real. Things I want in my life: sourdough bread, sourdough cinnamon rolls, sourdough pizza, sourdough friends. That kept me out late so I couldn't do morning cardio this morning before my 7:45 am dr. appt. So I have brought my stuff to work to do cardio in the evening. Jord Posted October 5, 2018 Author Report Share Posted October 5, 2018 Thursday cals: 1929 (whoo!) I have a confession. I went to jazzercise yesterday. I didn't die. I think I sweated out a good half a pound. This morning I went to barbell club and wasn't fully recovered so that was akin to torture. Squats took me a good thirty minutes. And it was 5 sets of squats. So much work. Then I had bench press and trap bar deadlift. I ran out of time to do anything else before I had to leave for work. I'm supposed to be going up north this weekend but Mr T is not feeling well, so we'll see.
