Wednesday: 1997 calories, 126g protein

 

Did a mini-workout at home last night, I missed a couple things because dinner finished cooking after these three lifts. I have to do glute bridges and split squats, so I'll do those tonight. Unfortunately we have an thing on Saturday so my next full workout will be tomorrow night (Friday). I was originally working out at home because I was going to take my car in and I only had one barbell lift I could switch for Saturday's goblets. But APPARENTLY I needed an automotive appointment. :apthy:

 

Goblet Squat

Set 1: 20 lb × 10

Set 2: 20 lb × 10

Set 3: 20 lb × 10

Set 4: 20 lb × 10

(these were supposed to be 30# as well but I knew my legs weren't feeling it)

 

Floor Press (DB)

Set 1: 30 lb × 10

Set 2: 30 lb × 10

Set 3: 30 lb × 10

Set 4: 30 lb × 10

 

Bent Over Row (Dumbbell)

Set 1: 30 lb × 8

Set 2: 30 lb × 8

Set 3: 30 lb × 8

(first time doing these since December, I started at 30 but I can definitely go higher next time)

 

Today will be my first day eating less on a non-workout day, goal is 1750 calories. I'm feel pretty hungry for lunch but I get to eat soon. BUT I did eat my afternoon protein bar at 10 am. >_>

ughhh sorry about the car troubles, SO also worked from home yesterday to get the car fixed but apparently fixing the electric door lock on the driver's side in a matrix is $500? no. no thank you.

I wouldn't get it fixed either if I were you, lol.


I need new spark plugs, my car is old, so I just need to do it as a regular maintenance thing. But I shouldn't have to do it for a very long time after this!

Ooooo well if you ever decide you want that mental dopamine hit, spark plugs are pretty easy to do yourself ;)

(it's friday! also I need to purchase and watch the new season of x-files soon, now that it has all aired. also I'm listening to The Adventure Zone and they've started a new campaign/story line that feels like some old episodes of x-files. also, who doesn't love the x-files)

 

Calories were not as low as I wanted yesterday but it was a decent number. I got the post-dinner munchies and got into the PB pretzels.

 

Thursday: 1903 cals, 121g protein

 

My achilles and heels are still sore. I remembered that I have a pair of all black squishyfoam tennis shoes I used to use when I had to walk people around campus. So I'm going to wear those to work for a week and see how I feel next Friday. Of course the first day I have put them on here, it went and snowed 2" overnight. I have a lot of hiking related activities in May, so I need to force myself to give them a rest right now and I'm annoyed at having to avoid cardio this weekend.

 

Reminder to myself the things I need to be dong:

- calf stretches

- foam rolling my calf

- eccentric heel drops

- not hiking 5 miles at a time :/

That doesn't seem quite thrilling enough.... mainly because I was there that one time when my ex changed the spark plugs and forgot which plug/wire went to which and 10 years later, I'm still traumatized.

New Years Day this year my husband (who is an actual mechanic) and dad spent most of the day trying to change the spark plugs in my car themselves. I had to go to work the next day, was trapped at my parents' house, and there was a very real chance of them snapping off inside. Yay. They'd give up then one of them would think of something else to try. Suspense kills.

i'm so sorry you guys have had such bad experiences with the spark plugs! but also even more silly that you needed an appt for THAT

 

annnnnnnnd i'm sorry you can't do cardio this weekend but if you spend the time working on your calves, at least you'll know your doing what's best for your body!

me tooo such a bummmmer. but I did figure out an outdoor thing I can work on that doesn't involve hiking. I can start working on yard/garden clean up for the spring. It will only be 40 degrees, but that never stopped me from outdoor activity before!

Even though I feel like blah I guess I should still at least try to care about food while I'm not exercising.

 

Wednesday: 2005 cals, 68g of protein (ooops!) nothing tastes right so I've been eating weirdly.

 

Speaking of... I bought a ton of freezer food to get through early next week because of being sick and nothing tasting good. But I tried not to be too terrible while at least avoiding going out to eat.

 

- frozen ravioli & jar of pasta sauce & frozen green beans

- frozen lightly breaded chicken breast and some "frozen meal side" thing of alfredo pasta with vegetables in it, which was my compromise to not buy stouffers frozen mac and cheese

- frozen chicken burritos

- not so great option: bought frozen pizza for last night, but went thin crustish. red baron does "classic crust" which is sort of between thin crust and regular crust, gets real crispy, would recommend.

Thursday. Failed to track dinner but calories would have been on point except I followed dinner with whiskey calories. In this instance, #noregrets

 

And weight was magically still decent this morning. But I'm eating those salty freezer foods this weekend so we'll see what shakes out.

I still have a cold that I think is now a sinus infection. My weigh-in this morning was the same as last week, so not too much damage done. Luckily my appetite isn't fabulous.

 

I'm going to try to do a workout tomorrow, it may just be at home depending on how much energy I think I have. I'm not going to drive 35 min to farfit if I think I've only got a 20 min workout in me.

 

Still tracking calories, just trying to come in below maintenance.

plan is to do maybe 20 min of yoga tonight and loosen up and then maybe a little DB goblet squats and chest press or the like. I'd love to try to get to a full BB club workout on Thursday or Friday.

I find I only get out if this funk when not working out makes me feel super weak and my brain rebels.

Tuesday calories: too many, 2260, which would be maintenance but I'm not working out

 

The main culprit was giving into urge to eat potato chips for lunch because food tastes weird and I didn't want what I had brought. But I planned better today.

yeah that (yoga) didn't happen, something something something about coughing all day, going grocery shopping and then making dinner just took it all out of me. but if the weather shapes up today i'll walk on my lunchbreak, something mid-day before all the energy is drained out of me

 

I felt like I was on the upswing yesterday but today I'm coughing up all kinds of fun stuff. Might be time to see a doc soon.

I'm digging myself out of my cold virus hell hole. Also, I tried on pants from last summer and that was a bit of a disaster, so shit is about to get real. But at least summertime activities of yard work and hiking should help.

 

Calories yesterday were about ~2200.

 

I started my workouts again on Monday. The DOMS are FOR REAL, TAKING NO PRISONERS.

I was going to wait till May 1 to kick it off but might as well start now. Going to do a May challenge here in my BL to every day to post calories and any junk I eat at work I didnt' bring in. I don't have to limit, I just have to record and post it here.

 

I have outings every weekend in May, so for those if I can't track (cell phone coverage), I will still post on Monday how the weekend went.

yeahhhhhhhh luckily i got some cheap shorts at the end of last season (Bob's ftw) and they still fit now!

 

If it's dragging you down go git you a couple summer pieces that fit ya :D
