TempestTiffy
WOOO! Survived the last challenge! But onwards to better and brighter things! Diet: While continuing meal plans for dinners I want to increase the amount of plants I eat. The goal is to switch out snacks for fruit. 2 serves of fruit a day. Exercise: Continue with body weight x3 a week and yoga x3 a week. I strugggled to keep up last time but am hopeful I'll do better with the aim of finishing the 3 sets! Life: ugh, where do i start? I'm thinking sleep. So no taking my phone to bed. No screens. Plug my phone in with my alarm on the other side of the room. BONUS: I'm going to do a christmas advent with my kids (mostly the 4yo) showing Jesus love every day for 24 days. Big things like buying toys for other children to just writting nice letters to missionaries. Hoping I can fit it in! Again baby steps but important foundations. It's hard with 2 kids and shift work but then I signed up for this life. My husband was very supportive last time which made such a difference. 1 Quote Philippians 4:13 I can do ALL things through HIM who gives me strength LEVEL 2 (STR) - 3 (DEX) - 2 (STA) - 4 (CON) -2 (WIS) 5 (CHA) - 2 Link to comment

Great to hear you've got a support crew, too! You got this! Quote Manarelle the Level 60 Amazon Assassin Challenges: 1-10, 11-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, Current Link to comment

Something I did with my boys when they were very little was to just write a bunch of ideas on scraps of paper and put them in a jar and we'd choose one each morning and then had the intention of getting it done that day. simple, simple stuff like little helpful things around the house or picking up trash while we were on a walk, smiling at a stranger, asking to pet someone's dog, etc. a couple big ideas were mixed in there like chose a buy a toy tag from church and pick out something/buy it/return it or help out at an event at church (ie sign up to be greeters, make soup, help string lights, etc). Each night we'd go over to the nativity scene and share what we'd done. I guess I should say here that I'd put out the nativity scene (without Jesus) on the first Sunday of Advent and nearby would be a box of rug hooking yarn (small pieces you buy for those kits - like 4 inches long. you could cut your own, i was just lazy). Anyway. Each night we'd share and then put a piece of "straw" (cut up yarn) in the manger. The goal was to fill the manger with straw and then on Christmas eve it'd be all ready for the arrival of the baby Jesus. They really liked it and even though we don't do it anymore intentionally I still put out the nativity scene early without Jesus and I have that same box of yarn nearby. My teenagers will add yarn to the manger and if I ask why they usually have done something charitable. which is nice because it was done without my asking. or they will point out something one of us has done and will say "we should add some straw for that...". Have fun!!!! I'm sure whatever you come up with will be awesome! Also, highly recommend a sleep mask to get rid of all that ambient light that gets in the way of a good night's sleep!! 2 Quote mom2sjm Rock Gnome Rebel Level 28 current challenge Link to comment
