Artemis Fernweh is a Jedi Initiate

I've been away for a little while. School was kicking my butt, however finals are almost here and then I will be FREE! I might not be that active next week and the first part of the week after but after that I have no excuse ... period. This challenge I'm going the Jedi route starting off as an Initiate. If I pass the Initiate trials then I can move on to Padawan. I will be focusing on the Three Pillars of the Jedi: Force, Knowledge, and Self-discipline.

Force: Over the past few months I have severely neglected my workouts. I will start doing my workouts three times a week first thing in the morning ... before getting on Tumblr or checking my emails. I will also be doing some smaller things on my off days but they won't count towards the final count.

Knowledge: For the first week and a half this goal will not count due to school. Once finals are done then four times a week I will study my amateur radio book. The second week of the challenge two days will be plenty. If I do more then that will cover any weeks that might have fewer days.

Self-discipline: Three times a week I will go outside and work on a lightsaber form starting with Form 1. As it gets colder this will really take some self-discipline.

I haven't been running in months and I'm thinking of starting that up again, but it's not a major goal so it's flexible. Another side goal I have is to clean my room. It's not strictly messy but there are quite a few piles of stuff.

Alright, update time. Week 1

I did my three workouts for the week. It was actually pretty nice to get back into it.

I did some lightsaber practice for three days. I definitely felt it in my shoulders.

Due to school I haven't done any amateur radio studying but that was planned.

I do have parkour lessons once a week and last Sunday my teacher gave me homework of the pushup game. That is where you do five pushups every minute on the minute until you can't do any more. I got to 32 minutes before my wrist made me stop. I could have gone for about ten to fifteen minutes more but my wrist couldn't. Today at class we did some pushups, planks, and handstand practice. My wrist was acting up again so he wrapped it to provide some more support. I'm thinking of getting something like that to help when I workout at home.

On another note when my teacher gave me this weeks homework he made a joke about it. He made it like he was a doctor prescribing medicine. He actually wrote "medication" on the top of the paper where he wrote the workout. He wants me to do it as often as I can this week, everyday if I can.

Pushup game sounds fun and exhausting.  Thanks for sharing!  I wonder how long I can go?  What do I do between sets to pass the time?  Video game, laundry, TV... hmm.

Ok, so I know I'm bad at updating but this is ridiculous. Even though I haven't been on here very often I have been keeping track.

Challenge summary:

Force: Well, I missed about one every week and the workouts certainly were not the first thing done in the morning. 65%

Knowledge: This one went really, really well. Even though when I read I didn't get as much done as I would have liked I still did it. 100%

Self- discipline: This went about as well as my workouts did. 65%

That gives me a 77 for the challenge. Now I had two optional goals. I did not run ... at all. However, I did do some cleaning. I'm gonna say that is worth 3%, bumping me up to 80% for the challenge. It's not the best but it is technically passing.

I will hopefully have my new challenge up in the next couple of days. It might be difficult since I am currently out of town.
