That is for you to have. However, you may post them here or on your own thread, if you wish. We of course love to read whatever you have written :)

We also used to have challenge wrap-up threads to post this detailed type of report, however we are going minimal these days.

One thing I started doing recently, that I noticed others are doing, is collecting all of my challenge progress and overall goals in a battle log. It seems to be a good way to add continuity across challenges in order to work toward larger goals.

race review, I ran the Nassau Rural Run on Sunday probably the second smallest race I have ever done, I think 12 people ran the race. The weather was awesome overcast in the mid 50's (f), they played the national anthem, the race director shouted "Go" and we were off,  we exited the parking lot and took an immediate right turn down a steep hill, "I thought to myself well this will be a fun finish" the hill sort of leveled off after .6 miles, had a few climbs but was immediately greeted with another longer downhill "which some had a steepness to it that I just had to laugh because I knew it was going to suck going back"; basically the first mile of the course was nothing but down hill. After running down the hill we took another right hand turn onto a dirt road through some beautiful farm land and woods, the road itself was nothing but rollers which allowed me to set up a comfortable pace. As we approached the half way point I realized that there were only four people ahead of me, so I decided to try and keep the pace for the rest of way, felt good going back through the rollers where I passed two people. It wasn't until I hit the 2.5 mile mark that I started to feel it, so I backed off my pace a little bit but continued to run, I battled up the steepest part of the hill and saw the cone at the last turn so I tried to keep my pace and continue up the hill, all the while thinking "please don't puke please don't puke" I got to the 3 mile mark and had to pull over and puke and that's where 3 people caught up and passed me at the 3 mile mark of a 3.1 mile race, so I went from 3 to 6th with .1 to go, better luck next year. Overall it was awesome, showed me what I need to work on for the upcoming fall races. So for the next few challenges I will be working on endurance, strength training and eating healthy, overall I felt really strong and can conquer any hill that my next few races will throw at me.

Hey everybody, I started a PVP challenge that I think many would enjoy. It is called NerdHammer - Age of Darkness

If you like tabletop strategy games like warhammer, or have ever played a game like risk its something you'll like! You get to play as any fantasy faction you can think of. Warriors of chaos from warhammer 40k, the troopers from star wars, or even the autobots!

By exercising you will earn resources to recruit your forces, and throughout the challenge move to control the most of the board and be the ruler of the world of Nerdhammer!

On top of all these awesome things you get the chance to meet awesome people from other guilds, and do some creative writing (that is completely optional but fun)! Come stop in and say hi!

So, do I say I did/how I did speed work in the mini challenge?  Am I supposed to be in character or just announcing my action?  Do I just lurk?  I don't know the protocol.

If you want to do an in-character write up by all means do so - else you can simple say you're going to one or the other.

This is what happens when you don't map out the course; lmao. So we started a running group at work for the Workforce Team Challenge, the race itself is 3.5 miles, so on the first group run we kinda got lost and just ran what we thought the course was and continued to run it subsequent weeks, we finally measure it out today, 3.7 miles, no wonder why everyone thought the race was short haha

I'll write up a race report in my own thread (maybe) but all I can say about last weekends race is "Holy Crap, if they don't burn out these girls by the time they get to high school I will be surprised if these girls don't win State in cross country and track and actually get invited to Nationals" My daughter who admitted to having to walk a little bit during the race (it was muggy as hell) ran a 8:40 mile (she's 9) and she was second to last, the first place and second place both girls ran 6:10 and 6:15 the age limit on the race was 12. That was just the kids mile; scattered in the 5k was other girls around the same age who were putting up phenomenal times.

Hey all its about that time again. With the start of this new challenge I would like to draw your attention to a PVP I have set up.

This is the second time I have run this challenge, and the first "beta" test was a big success. It is called NerdHammer, a PVP where you will track your exercises during the week, using this to recruit troops to fight for control of a game board (think risk!) At the end of the challenge a winner will be declared!

There are a few different ways to participate. You can run your own faction, directing troops on the board and requires a bit more of a hands on approach. Or you can be a mercenary, meaning you track your workouts gaining resources, and allow your chosen faction leader to determine your movements. No one should feel like they are left out of the challenge! And while it is a PVP, I want to ensure you that the biggest goal of this is for everyone to have fun and push themselves to get the work done!

I hope you will stop by the thread and check it out!

Just wanted to pop in and say hi. Hey, Scouts!

I have come back to NF and am doing my challenge with the Druids. I can't run anymore (spine and hips not cooperating) so I have to change profession.

Anywho. Great luck with your challenges and have a great July!

Hey Scouts, I think I'm going to move to Rebels for this challenge, because my four goals are rather diverse and very un-scoutish.

I'm assuming a mod will be able to move my challenge thread; I'll just flag it and hope for the best, I guess. Is there a better way to go about that?

I expect I'll back for a future challenge--and I'll definitely come check on your threads from time to time!
