Sam Ashen
I weighed in at my weekly high this morning and tomorrow we have a company luncheon for missing Christmas. Ukranian Christmas is very soon, I guess. So it looks like I will be weighing in heavy all week. I found this! Meanwhile at my workplace, they saw my wrist all taped up and they made the mistake of asking me what I did. So I told them I injured it jerking. I might be starting up an ongoing Hacking my Work Quest. Today I was working on a test instruction and messing with the spreadsheet template and writing out what references I need to make the test instruction. I still need to put together that Spell Book! The guy that thought about moving me to Kansas has not called yet. Maybe he took my "not psychologically prepared to interview and maybe after I get back from vacation" as a hard NO. I might as well send in my chiropractors receipts and claim as much $$$ as I can, then see what is remaining in the account, then make more claims until it is all gone. One guy got down to his skivvies, and I thought of you. XD (To clarify, I wasn't around for the bare weigh in at camp, but the tale is so frequently told that how could I not go, oh I see this guy is a Sam! when I spy a competitor getting as low a weigh in as possible.) 5 Quote Link to comment

Strawberry Squatcake
I'm from Kansas. It's 11 or 12 here right now, so double digits. But it was near 60 on Christmas if I remember correctly. We have some cold days, for sure. But not as harsh as the north. And our summers are hot and humid, but not as bad as the south. Problem is it's boring, but pro is suuuuper cheap cost of living, relatively friendly, and I swear it's not ALL flyover country. I mean, we get flown over, but it's not all bad. Anywho, I'd never make Kansas a destination, but, if your work offers, not a terrible place to be. If you're anywhere near Wichita, and do get moved, I might be able to help with good/bad/better places to live, at the very least. 1 Quote Shape-Shifting Ginger Current Battle Log 2" washers for smaller weight increases Link to comment

It looks like the big difference is in housing. Real Estate: Um. Does it actually move? I already have one property I can't sell. (and one I CAN sell) Boring: It could be Iowa. As far as I know, you can find somebody from Iowa anywhere in the country. Iowa exports corn and people. Friendly: I have been living in Minnesota for 7 years. Note: ALL of my friends are online. What does that tell you? Tornadoes: Sound sleeper. Did not hear siren. Maybe I should live in my own basement! Wichita: Go another 100 miles north. Solomon. I looked it up. It looks like it is pretty far from nowhere. When I said I am not psychologically prepared to interview, I meant exactly that. There has been a recent change in management and a key person being removed from the chain and I am giving it a fair chance. Responding to a question like, "Why are you leaving your employer?" with "Actually, I have not yet decided to leave" really does not end well. So psychologically not prepared to interview really means I do not want to leave my current employer at this time and it is therefore appropriate translate that answer as a hard NO. 4 Quote Classless Human Male Warrior - Introduction Height: 1.77m Weight: 93 kg Spoiler Current Maxes: (repsxkg) Squat: 10x122.3, 5x138.2, 3x147; 1x170 Bench Press: 10x79, 5x93, 1x102 Deadlift: 10x152, 5x192, 3x210, 1x229 Overhead Press: 10x52, 5x61, 1x70.3 Current Battle Log: 1707 Sam Ashen Summer Swole Program 2017 Challenges: 1701 1702 1703 1704 1705 Previous Challenges: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 1603 1604 1605 1606 1607 1609 1610 1611 1612 Daily Log:The Daily Grind Form Check: Stronglifts Olympic More FC's: Pistol Squats Want to play? I don't know anything about Solomon, so take this all with a grain of salt. its between Salina and Junction City. Neither are places I'd live, they're both on I-70, which is a huge drug and sex trafficking highway. Not that I know it means higher crime or drugs there, but it seems to in the other two cities. That said, a friend of mine just moved from Hutchinson (also a place I'd never live) to Salina. And he says it's not as bad as its reputation. Plus, he's comparing to Hutch, which seems to be bottoming out. Houses move fairly quickly in Wichita and the suburbs. But in that small of a town, I'd worry it wouldn't. Anyway, if you change your mind, don't take my word for it. But that's my initial response. I don't think I'd live in small town anywhere in Kansas if I weren't 10 minutes from the edge of a big enough town to suit your needs. Sam Ashen
Today was the company luncheon to celebrate Ukrainian Christmas. We had roast beef and smashed potatoes and gravy in epic proportions. And chocolate cake and little cheesecakes. It sure feels like I ate a lot more that MFP says I did because my belly hurt when I got home. Nothing impressive about a two-plate clean - and a slow one at that. Today was also a rest day. I probably tracked wrong, but.... Score for Today: 3262 Calories 291 Carbs (270 to 450) 148 Fat (90 to 150) 194 Protein (160 minimum) +3.8 Overall Hitting the Broad Side of a Barn: 6/7 - Not bad for Week 0! Meanwhile on MFP, I did a thing. I changed my activity level to "active." This now puts my normal maintenance calories at 2880. Combine that with the silly numbers MFP gives me for lifting, predictions should be a little bit closer. Average Score for Week 1: 3224 Calories 354 Carbs 117 Fat 194 Protein So this is turning out to be a pretty normal week! There is one more thing I can do if I am still really bored: I can type in the final week of 2016 into my spreadsheet and have a more compete year of tracking. But. I don't think it matters that much at this time. 7 Quote Classless Human Male Warrior - Introduction Height: 1.77m Weight: 93 kg Spoiler Current Maxes: (repsxkg) Squat: 10x122.3, 5x138.2, 3x147; 1x170 Bench Press: 10x79, 5x93, 1x102 Deadlift: 10x152, 5x192, 3x210, 1x229 Overhead Press: 10x52, 5x61, 1x70.3 Current Battle Log: 1707 Sam Ashen Summer Swole Program 2017 Challenges: 1701 1702 1703 1704 1705 Previous Challenges: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 1603 1604 1605 1606 1607 1609 1610 1611 1612 Daily Log:The Daily Grind Form Check: Stronglifts Olympic More FC's: Pistol Squats Want to play?
