Yasha92
2017 and Yasha’s keen Some big things happening this year (to be fair towards the end of the year, but still). Mr and I have decided to go ahead with the tentative plan and get married September 1st 2017 on our 10 year anniversary (we’ve been engaged 2 years already, just without a concrete ‘date’) and then as our Honeymoon/travel extravaganza we are hoping to spend between one and two months in the USofA (and a little pop in to Canada) roadtripping around visiting internet friends and feeding the travel bug. Wowsers. SO. I want to get a bit more serious about training and eating and budgeting and planning and all those things which will need to get done by then. I want to be able to walk and walk and walk and not get puffed out and have to go back to the car. I want to rock that Honeymoon bod’. I want to do it without going into mega-debt. As such I will be cracking down trying to make some big progress now (as I expect once we hit the ground in ‘murica we will want to eat all sorts of cheesy, fatty things). So on to the goals for this first month of the year~ Whole 30. Every day of January (except the 31st) Starting in zero week Mr and I will be embarking on a Whole 30 (which seems to be pretty much Paleo with the addition of white potato). The remaining days of the challenge will probably be used for the ‘reintroduction’, ten days of slowly trying the things which were out on the Whole 30 to see how they impact on the body. Because this is a mostly Paleo I expect to be hitting Freggies with ease, but if I feel like I’m eating nothing but eggs and meat I’ll refocus on including the freggies. I will share the pictures of any awesome delicious things I cook (as well as any total disasters). Exercise. 10,000 steps a day and gymming 3xweek. The ROAR classes start back on the 16th Jan, so between now and then I will either go to the gym and do the back workout given by the PT, do ZombiesRun, or go for a swim, regardless I will be aiming for 10-a-day steps and three ‘other’. I gave myself a fitbit for Giftmas and I’m finding its tracking capabilities are encouraging me to push just a little harder to try and hit that target of 10 thousand. BuJo. I’ve started a bullet journal and would like to keep up with it for this whole challenge, at the moment it’s relatively plain, so I would be OK with sharing it, if it starts to get down to the nitty-gritty of life (more than my mirror-list basically) I may pull it back to just acknowledging whether or not I did it. That's it! All achievable goals with no reason not to succeed. Watch out 2017, I'm coming for you... 7 Quote Mini | | Jan 16 || Feb 16 || Mar 16 || April 16 || July-Aug 16 || Aug-Sep 16 . || Sep-Oct 16 || Oct-Nov 16 || Dec 16 || Jan 17 || March 17 || April 17 || May 17 || August 17 || Sep 17 || Oct 17 || Grind it out || Jan 18 || Feb 18 || April 18 || May June 18 || Nov 18 || Oct 19 || Early 2020 || Halfway thru 2020 || Yasha High-5s herself || Jan 2023 || Current Challenge: Yasha holds steady (Feb-Mar 2023) Link to comment

Yasha92
Whole 30: compliant, tick, Mr cooked brekkie and dinner, lunch was left over soup. Mushroom, 2fried eggs, a slice of prosciutto, a paleo sausage. A small handful of cherries, a small handful of berries (black, blue and rasp), a carrot, chicken and veggie soup, about a tablespoon of mixed nuts (almonds, pistachios, cashews), 2 pieces dried apricot, 2 dates, steak and a massive salad, half a potato fried in the steak fat. Water good, hit my 2L aim. Exercise: hit my 10,000 steps as I pace the hallway writing this. Messaged the PT at the gym to find out what classes are on this week. Yasha92
Thursday, 5th. I had an ok day. Started out with a big batch of "I dun wanna", it was drizzly and I had to ride my bike. I pushed through the mood and went to the gym anyway. Turns out it was a day for dun wannas since I was the only person who turned up for the boxing. Meant that the PT and I buddied up and got it done nice and quick. I also sent him the link to Staci's article because I'm thinking after this round of roar I want to work on some lifts and building up some strength. Whole30~ compliant (tick), mushroom 'toast', 2eggs, a sausage, kale. Nuts and berries. Chilli with avocado x2 (so so hot, added two spoons of coconut cream just to be able to eat it) Exercise: rode bike to gym and home, boxing at the gym one on one. Also hit the steps goal of 10,000. BuJo~ yurp... tried to do boxing gloves but they came out like mittens... 9 Quote Mini | | Jan 16 || Feb 16 || Mar 16 || April 16 || July-Aug 16 || Aug-Sep 16 . || Sep-Oct 16 || Oct-Nov 16 || Dec 16 || Jan 17 || March 17 || April 17 || May 17 || August 17 || Sep 17 || Oct 17 || Grind it out || Jan 18 || Feb 18 || April 18 || May June 18 || Nov 18 || Oct 19 || Early 2020 || Halfway thru 2020 || Yasha High-5s herself || Jan 2023 || Current Challenge: Yasha holds steady (Feb-Mar 2023) Link to comment

Yasha92
Friday 6th~ 6/30 Whole30 compliant (tick). Today was raining as I walked to the bus stop and I got a bit wet before work, I also forgot that it was casual Friday... despite this I had an ok day, got a bit of work done, didn't go too crazy. I left work an hour early because my back just kept spasming. I came home and lay on an ice pack for 20mins and it started to feel a bit better. Our friend rang and invited us to go check out the virtual reality gig his friend was setting up so we wandered down to that, it wasn't fully set up so we hung around for a couple hours while they set it up. It was super interesting to be with such a different type of nerd to usual. Once it was all set up I was able to have a go at the VR and it was pretty cool, you need a big(ish, like at least a large rug) empty space though, which would make it rather impractical for our house. Food: 2 eggs, half an avo and some baby tomatoes 'salsa', kale, 8 olives, chicken and veggie soup (heavy on the veggies), carrot, cucumber, 3/8ths of a pineapple (pineapple was too good, forgot to take a photo, super juicy and delicious). Exercise: forgot to wear my Fitbit for the walk to buddies and back, granting myself 5,000- since I've been nursing a fair set of DOMS BuJo~ yurp Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 6 Quote Mini | | Jan 16 || Feb 16 || Mar 16 || April 16 || July-Aug 16 || Aug-Sep 16 . || Sep-Oct 16 || Oct-Nov 16 || Dec 16 || Jan 17 || March 17 || April 17 || May 17 || August 17 || Sep 17 || Oct 17 || Grind it out || Jan 18 || Feb 18 || April 18 || May June 18 || Nov 18 || Oct 19 || Early 2020 || Halfway thru 2020 || Yasha High-5s herself || Jan 2023 || Current Challenge: Yasha holds steady (Feb-Mar 2023) Link to comment
