Anim07734
Orzammar At Myrik’s urging (13.84 votes), the Grey Wardens have chosen the Dwarves of Orzammar as their next destination. The guardsmen seem hesitant to let so many armed outsiders enter the city, but after some reassurances, the Grey Wardens are escorted to the palace. You are greeted by a young, bookish-looking dwarf, introduced as King Doulinar Ortan, who sits thoughtfully on his throne while Myrik presents your case. He sits quietly for a long moment before replying. “Much as I would like to aid in your fight, Wardens, I currently lack the ability to do so. My rule has been questioned since before it began, and lacking my father’s charisma and my brother’s training, I have been unable to build any support among my people. If you can aid me in this, I will be pleased to pledge my armies to your support.” There are four tasks that can be completed to help build support for the Dwarven king, but each Grey Warden can only attempt one of them: Patrol the City - perform Leg and Core exercises of your chosen difficulty (the same as your Joining) to aid the city guard and show support for King Doulinar. Explore the Deep Roads - perform Leg and Push exercises of your chosen difficulty (the same as your Joining) to journey into the Deep Roads to battle Darkspawn in the King’s name (Warriors will receive a 10% bonus). Investigate the Carta - perform Push and Pull exercises of your chosen difficulty (the same as your Joining) to search out the criminal underground and bring them to the King’s justice (Rogues will receive a 10% bonus). Research at the Shaperate - perform Pull and Core exercises of your chosen difficulty (the same as your Joining) to search the Shaperate records to prove the King’s lineage (Mages will receive a 10% bonus). Log your reps on the Dwarf Task sheet. You'll earn one point each time you perform a number of reps equal to your Joining AMRAP (you aren't required to do AMRAP sets, EG if your Joining AMRAP was 8, you can perform a set of 8, two sets of 4, four sets of 2, etc to earn 1point). The top scorer in each task will be awarded a piece of armor crafted and enchanted by a master Dwarven smith, granting a bonus during the final battle. You have until Wednesday 15February at 11:59PM Eastern to recruit the Dwarves! 8 Quote Anim07734; God of Death in Training Tiefling Assassin and Artificer Maxim 70: Failure is not an option. Anim07734
Choosing the Fourth Destination Only two potential allies remain, and we have just enough time to meet with both. Take advantage of the Orzammar markets and decide where you'd like to go next. Elves - Many Dalish clans lost their Keepers a year ago, and in fits of rage, blamed each other instead of searching for the real killers. The Brecilian Forest has turned into a killing field as more and more blood feuds erupt between the clans. Men - Ferelden lost many of it's leading Teyrns, Arls, and Banns, but the King's son survived the strike against him and has managed to maintain some semblance of order across his ravaged Kingdom. The castle at Redcliffe is closest to the coming Blight and should be reinforced to support the approaching battle. All Grey Wardens in good standing (any participant who has completed The Joining) may vote for the next destination. Once it is chosen, we'll receive an updated report and have seven (7) days to convince that ally to aid us against the Blight. We'll then proceed directly to the final remaining group. You can submit votes for the next destination by selecting your choice and performing core reps in up to four (4) exercise variants. Each time you accumulate a total number of points equal to your Joining core score (EG if you performed 5 hanging knee raises during the Joining, you received a score of 10. Every time you accumulate a total of 10 points, in any leg variant), you register 1 vote for your chosen destination. Partial votes will be counted. You have until Saturday 18February at 11:59PM Eastern to submit your votes! 2 Quote Anim07734; God of Death in Training Tiefling Assassin and Artificer Maxim 70: Failure is not an option.
