Moros Starts of the New Year With Points

Hello Everybody,

 

I just got back from a big meeting in my field, and am eager to get on with this challenge.  It's snowy and icy here, but these do not stop a ranger:

Last challenge, I used a points system, which worked really well for me, and I made my goals.  So, I am going to stick with what works, and keep working about running up the score.  If I achieve my goals this time, I will get some spiffy yoga blocks of my own (I've been using my wife's).  If I get to the good score, I will add onto my rewards, and get my exercise mace video.  There are 570 points for each week (2280 if I do everything), and last time I got a score of 1647 points.  So, success will be 1700 points.  1800 points is good, and 2100 is excellent.

Today was hard for personal reasons I don't want to get into (non-fitness stuff), but I did do my exercises in the morning, which was a real relief.  Pretty worn out now, but did good stuff.

Day 5 - Did all of the things...

 

Many, many errands.  Thanks to my AWW (Awesome Wing-Woman or Assassin Wing-Woman), I managed to do the flash Rising Heroes quest.  Did my part for the guild hall just now, and did do my mobility.  I can actually wiggle my big toe by itself, something I could not do six months ago.  I know that seems small, but given my food pain, it's really nice to have better workings on my feet.  Also, finally did a doctor's appointment I was really procrastinating on for a while.

Day 11 - Sad, but did my workouts anyway

 

So, I am sad because of (redacted), but I did my workouts anyway.  My right knee was feeling a little iffy on my split level squats on my right side, so I wound up doing 16 on the left side, and 5 on the right side.  Knees are not something to mess with.  Lunges seem to be the bane of my bodyweight exercises.

Sorry that is has been rough for you. Hopefully things start to look up soon. Great job at doing the workouts any way. Woot for your super consistency. Also woot for moving your big toe by itself.That is really hard. I've worked at it, and can finally do it. I heard that people who can do that have less planter facitis, and since I used to have that all the time, I figured it would be a good thing for me to do. Haven't worked on it much this winter though.

Sorry that is has been rough for you. Hopefully things start to look up soon. Great job at doing the workouts any way. Woot for your super consistency. Also woot for moving your big toe by itself.That is really hard. I've worked at it, and can finally do it. I heard that people who can do that have less planter facitis, and since I used to have that all the time, I figured it would be a good thing for me to do. Haven't worked on it much this winter though.

 

It's one of those things that sound trivial, until you do it - at least that's how it's felt for me.  I have noticed that the more foot exercises I do, the overall less foot pain I feel.

Day 12 - Things have gotten more sad because (redacted)

 

Unfortunately, one the (redacted) things have gotten worse.  My grandmother, who is 95, has been put into hospice, and she's not likely to make it through the week.  Obviously, I feel sad, but I am more sad for my mother and grandmother.  I'm glad my grandmother is suffering less, and is less scared.

Day 13 - Just Keep Moving

 

Sadly, my grandmother passed away this morning.  I am sad, and of course, my mom is devastated.  One thing I always remember my grandmother say - "the key is to keep moving" - so, in honor of her memory, that's what I am trying to do.  I got another clean sweep this week, but I wish my grandmother was still here, and not in any pain.

So - Saturday was mostly a rest day, which is good after the emotional turmoil of the last week.  We did walk in a nearby park for one mile, but that's really it.  The weather was nice.

Day 16 - Back at work, lifting the mace

 

Bodyweight stuff again, and my knee is still bugging me.  I need to call, and get an appointment with the massage therapist I have been working with. Just lifted ye old mace over my head, and about to call it a day (long day)

Day 17 - Sleep Deprivation is not fun

 

So, Ms. Moros had some trouble sleeping, so I stayed up with her.  Got up much later than I hoped, but still got everything done for the challenge.  Did the 20s balance challenge on RH, and wobbled all over the place.  Still need to work on balance.  Did lift objects for the Guild Hall.
