I'm starting this battle log to stay accountable of my evolution and stick with my objectives, so let's go :)

 

Motivation

End of 2015 I successfully reached 67kg, this is what I want to go back too. But I would want also to be able to do real push ups and my life, perhaps finally have some *male ideal* torso and overall feel as good in my body as I was feeling in 2015, and not hating every picture taken of me in which I feel like I look like a fat gobelin.

 

Current stats

Height : 1m80

Mass : 79.5kg (22.5% fat) (13/12/2016)

Age : 28 years old

 

Goals 

- Reach 67kg before June 2017

- Be able to do 10 push ups in a row by the end of the year

- Be able to do a handstand by the end of the year

- Meditate every single day

- Stop eating carbs

- Restrict alcohol to the strict minimum

- Reach at least 6000 steps a day

- Finish at least 50 books by the end of the year (15/50 - 24/01/2017)

- Steady my nerves and learn to control them

- Control my anxiety issues

- Get rid of things, aim for a more minimalist lifestyle

- Control my buying habits and clean my finances

Day one (11/01/2017)

 

Food : Paleo Shepherd Pie (lunch), 2 eggs & 5 prosciutto & 50gr of cheese (dinner) + 100gr of cheese cubes (having a drink with friends)

Weight : 75.7kg (20%)

 

Morning exercises :

  • 5 pushups, 10 lunges, 15 jumping jacks
  • 7 pushup, 15 lunges, 20 jumping jacks
  • 10 pushup, 20 lunges, 40 jumping jacks
  • 5 chin up

 

Notes for the day :

- Hard time waking up, went over my usual time (23pm instead of 22.30am), so woke up around 7.30am instead of 6.30am

- Feeling really nervous & angry this morning with no apparent reason

- Subscribed to the NerdFitness forums and start being accountable & open up about my goals

- Defined my challenge for February the 4th

- Finished "You're Not So Smart" (7th book on 50)

Day 2 (12/01/2017)

 

Food : 

Paleo Shepherd Pie (lunch)

- Broccoli Soup, 5 prosciutto, 30gr of cheese

 

Weight : 76.7kg (19.8%)

 

Morning exercises :

  • 40 min indoor bike (while watching Stargate SG1 - Out of Time)
  • 30 seconds plank

 

Notes for the day :

- Again had a hard time to wake up, will put the alarm at 7am instead of 6.30am and see if it improves

- Feeling calmer than yesterday

- Finished Liminal Thinking (reviewed here(8th book on 50)

- Finished The Enchiridion (9th book on 50)

- Started reading Tools of Titans

Nerves : got angry unfortunately (driving, meeting)

Day 3 (13/01/2017)

 

Food : 

- Lunch : A handful of walnuts (small fast until 6pm)

- Dinner : Salad with goat cheese, olive oil, fake Foie gras, Broccoli soup

 

Weight : 75.9kg (19.4%)

 

Morning exercises :

  • Warm up exercises (neck roll, head roll, crossing arms, jumping jacks)
  • 20 squats
  • 10 inclined push up
  • 10 walking lunges
  • 20 jumping Jacks
  • 10 dumbell rows
  • Circuit (3 times)
    • 10x squats
    • 10x inclined push ups
    • 10x doorway bodyweight
    • 10x dumbell row with 8kg kettlebell
    • 10x jumping jacks
  • Farmer Walk with 8kg kettlebell 30'' each side
  • Stretching exercises

 

Notes for the day :

- Put the alarm 30 minutes later (Sleepcycle), getting closer to 8 hours of sleep seems to give me more energy

- Laid a bit too much in bed but arrived in time at work anyway

- Started blogging again : here we go

- Big family problem, had to travel to there so my fitness tomorrow will be in the afternoon

Day 4 (14/01/2017)

 

Food : 

- Lunch : 2 eggs, 2 slice of ham, 30gr of cheese

- Dinner : Belgian Shepherd's Pie with parsnip & Paleo Carrot Cake

 

Morning exercises :

- 40 minutes indoor biking

- 30'' plank

 

Notes for the day :

- Didn't slept well, still a bit tired and nervous

- I've got a kitchen robot yaaaay plenty things to do /o/

- Cooked big meals for several day week (especially lunch at work)

- A bit of shoulders pain, did some stretching to ease

Day 5 (15/01/2017)

 

Food : 

- Breakfast : 1 slice of carrot cake

- Lunch : Orange Duck with 3 potato croquettes

- Dinner : Broccoli soup & 20gr of cheese

 

Weight : 74.2kg (19.3%)

 

Morning exercises :

- REEEEST DAYYYY /o/

 

Notes for the day :

- Family lunch so couldn't cook, limited the amount of things

Day 6 (16/01/2017)

 

Food : 

- Breakfast : 1 slice of carrot cake

- Lunch : Belgian Shepherd's Pie

- Dinner : Cauliflower soup & 20gr of cheese + 1 slice of a carrot cake

 

Weight : 74.5kg (19%)

 

Morning exercises :

- Warm up (Neck rolls, shoulder rolls, arm rotations, arm cross, chair squats, jumping jacks)

- Circuit (3 times)

  • 10x squats
  • 10x inclined push ups
  • 10x doorway bodyweight
  • 10x dumbell row with 8kg kettlebell

- 30 seconds (x2) Farmer walk with 8kg kettlebell

- Yoga poses for 2 minutes (Warrior & Tree)

 

Notes for the day :

- Got reaaally nervous stuck in the traffic this morning

- Tried 2 meditations a day, one when waking up, one when coming back from work, was quite relieving, will try to keep it 

Finished The Good Life by Seneca (10th book on 50and Zen Habits : A Beginner's Guide to Mindfulness (11th book on 50)

- Have an interview this evening, hope it'll go well

- Dinner : Lebanese Restaurant (too much lebanese bread, bad me baaad)

 

Weight : 74.6kg (19.2%)

 

Morning exercises :

- Warm up (Neck rolls, shoulder rolls, arm rotations, arm cross, chair squats, jumping jacks)

- Circuit (3 times)

  • 10x squats
  • 10x inclined push ups
  • 10x doorway bodyweight
  • 10x dumbell row with 8kg kettlebell (each side)

- 30 seconds (x2) Farmer walk with 8kg kettlebell

 

Notes for the day :

- It starts to be easier to do the push ups, still sore after the circuit but a bit easier

- Finished Managing Oneself (review here(12th book on 50)

Notes for the day :

- Couldn't get up this morning (baaaad), will bike this evening

- Really hard to get up, perhaps due to food ?

- Decided to push the exercises a bit further this time

- Dinner : 4 Formaggi Pizza (My Birthday Party, I indulge)

- Bought the PS VR for my birthday, so excited /o/

- Bit of a special week but I intend on keeping the good strive

Day 18-19-20-21-22 (27-28-29-30-31/01/2017)

 

Ok, this is hard... My boyfriend broke up with me on the 26th, so everything went a bit apart. I have to step down for a few days and will take back but with baby steps... At the moment everything is just incredibly hard, so I'm focusing in trying to be able to have "a day" and not collapse.

- Went to the gym with my sister : 20 minutes eliptic bike, 20 minutes crunches, press, push ups, 20 minutes steps.

- Still wake up early due to the break up

- Haven't cried today \o/

- Will be back next week at work

- Family restaurant with my father, was nice
