Mrs Van
That is a stunning photo of a white rhino! So by-the-by, you don't have any family living in Welkom area? You look so much like hubby's uncle, even he said it is remarkable. You also have a lot of things in common like the woodworking, metalworking, your intelligence, love of nature, and quirky sense of humour. Just curious. 1 Quote Mrs. Van's Latest Challenge Zechariah 4:6 "Not by might, nor by power, but by My spirit, saith the Lord." Link to comment
Jakkals
Ons tak van die Malan's is van die Hoëveld in die Transvaal. Daar is wel 'n neef wat in Kroonstad bly maar ek het hom baie jare laas gesien. I took the dogs for a long walk in the veld this morning and a swim in the river. The morning was spend at the workshop cleaning and the afternoon in bed. I did a few small things to make my life better. 1 Quote Level 8 : Wizard Blacksmith [ STR 6 | DEX 6 | STA 5 | CON 5 | WIS 10 | CHA 4 ] Jakkals, 2019 nommer 3 Spoiler Adapt yourself to the things among which your lot has been cast and love sincerely the fellow creatures with whom destiny has ordained that you shall live. -Marcus Aurelius Link to comment

Mr_Willes
You can try to "hide" the conversation in ZA but i can read it (having a proud moment here...). Jakkals, i know what you mean with effort in photo, i always struggle when i put myself in one. But a few weeks back i though about that, and, well, in an average day to day i don't pose for other people and they see me in my natural posture. So why try to alter this on a photo? That made my mind a lot easier on being on film or photo. Also the picture you took and the animals you saw were fantastic, you are quite fortunate to be able to do that. I know a lot of people pay several thousand of euro's / dollars to come to a region like ZA and just get a glimpse of a handful of things you listed! 2 Quote ... a little odd in the head ... It is four hours drive to get there and camping is quite cheap. More than 3 days is too much anyway, it is very tiring to spend so much time in cars with other people. The only time I really enjoyed was when I went alone and drove through the entire camp in seven days. Other people thought I was strange and I picked up some small trouble. I did not have the guts to try it again. And the animals are amazing. A glimpse of a something scarce is always special. 2 Quote Level 8 : Wizard Blacksmith [ STR 6 | DEX 6 | STA 5 | CON 5 | WIS 10 | CHA 4 ] Jakkals, 2019 nommer 3 Spoiler Adapt yourself to the things among which your lot has been cast and love sincerely the fellow creatures with whom destiny has ordained that you shall live. -Marcus Aurelius Link to comment
Jakkals
And this is my end of challenge report thingy. A day early, but since everything has come to a stop anyway, it seems like a good idea. "And then things got worse" I have decided to stop complaining so much a long time ago and am trying to focus on the positive things only, but these past four weeks at home and at work things got worse. There is nothing I can do about it, I just have to do my little part, but even so it affected me badly. The week after the trip were especially bad, I really did not want to go home again, and it messed up my brain. Even my battle log crashed completely. I lost a 47 day streak on Duolingo when the internet went down and my Music theory course also got behind so much that I stopped bothering. I will have to start it again. I also have not touched the piano for a few weeks now. I did yoga twice this challenge, I did not touch a knife the past week my bedtimes were bad. On the good side I got out of the bad spot in a remarkably short time. In the past it would have taken me weeks to get better, and this time it lasted two days only. I am in no way right yet, but I am so much better. And this past four weeks I also had the financial dip that brought me to the worst levels I had in all my life. For the first time I do not have any reserves left, I had to buy a lot of things for work, including having to draw money to help pay salaries and there is no way I could get that money back. And Flappie needs to be sterilized as a case of urgency, and I am driving around without a spare wheel in a car that cannot be locked. There are a lot of things I can do, but I am scared of the people I have to live with and I have no idea how to get past that.
Mrs Van
Oh Jakkals! Sending you hugs. I know it won't really help, but really wish I could do something to help. In the end you have to make the best choices for you as a person. You have to make your own life choices, and it can't be to undermine what is important to you, so others will benefit. There has to be some way of getting out of the situation? Even if you have to be harsh. Will pray for wisdom for you. *hugs* Quote Mrs. Van's Latest Challenge Zechariah 4:6 "Not by might, nor by power, but by My spirit, saith the Lord." Link to comment
