Week 1, day 2

 

Food

I ate enough freggies, but I should have drank more water. 

 

Fitness

Sooo tired from all the things I did today. I'm skipping zumba, that way I'll be able to go swimming with J tomorrow without feeling overly tired.

 

Life

I got SO MUCH done today! I almost cleared one room. The (build in) closet there is now almost empty and that will be a perfect place to store things that we can't store at my MIL's because we need them, but won't be visible to people looking at the house :)

I also phoned everyone I needed to phone (real estate agents and a mortgage adviser) and filled in SO MANY forms. They really want to know everything :P 

 

Things I'm grateful for

Week 1, day 3

 

Food

I got my freggies in, and almost all my water (working on that now :) )

Eating so many freggies leaves little room for other foods, so I think I'm on the right track here.

 

Fitness

I went swimming with J. When we arrived at the pool and the lifeguard (google translates it to lifeguard, I don't know if that's the correct term. It's te lady that walks around making sure no one drowns and everyone plays by the rules. We call it a pool miss or pool master if it's a man.) came up to us and told me they found A's ear plugs that we lost Sunday! :D 

We had a great time at the pool. J really made an effort, and afterwards we played for a while.

 

Life

The room with the build in closet I was talking about yesterday? I finally cleared it! The things I found in there... An old floppy disk, the school backpack of my husband, lots and lots of incense (my lungs don't like it when I burn it, so I don't know why I had so much of it), all the papers of the house that we need to sell it (yes, I'm that organized :P ). 

Now I can start with the rest of the house... 

Next project: shoes, jackets and bags. I think I can get that done tomorrow. It's all in one place and it's pretty clear what I can pack, trow away and what needs to stay. 

 

- I'm grateful for finding the papers of the house

- I'm grateful for a relaxed swimming lesson with J

- I'm grateful for great smelling, soft and cuddly kids that just had their bath (with magic dragon bath salt, they loved it!)

So google was right! I thought a lifeguard was someone at the beach in a tower with binoculars, but I guess it's both. (We call that one a beach guard, hence my confusion)

Food 

Freggies and water are on track

 

Fitness

Zumba! Zumba class was so much fun :)

I especially love the routine to this song where we shout along with the entire class :D

 

Life

I did shies, jackets and bags as I planned. Tomorrow I will do my work space. Not looking forward to that one: it's a mess :P

We talked to a morgage advisor and it turnes out that we can buy a much more expensive house while the montly costs will stay the same! :D

Week 1, day 5

 

Food

Not nearly enough freggies. No idea what happened, the day just got away with me... I did get enough water though :) 

 

Fitness

I had a bad night sleep (just a stuffy nose, nothing serious) and I had a lot to do today, so I skipped salsa class and just did the things that needed to be done at a slower pace.

 

Life

My workspace is 3/4 done. I'll do the last part tomorrow and start with the tv/dvd's (since all of us have a computer with netflix, the tv doesn't get used often, so we can pack that away until we have a new home). Also the photographer who is going to take pictures of our house is planned and all the papers are filled in. I'm going to drop them off at the real estate agent tomorrow. Just a week until halve our furnature is going to be shipped to my MIL's house. I still have plenty of work to do before than, but I'm on schedule :)  

 

I'm grateful my boys can play at a friends house while the handyman is here

I'm grateful we are finally financially able to move house

I'm grateful for tea

week 1, day 6

 

Food

I met my goals, barely, but I did it :)

 

Fitness

I danced today.  At the mommy's club there was this pyjama party for the kids. In the end the adults did most of the dancing :D

Although J did impress them with his mooves after his first glass of lemonade ;)

 

Life

I wasn't feeling well because of arriving sharks, so SH did most of the work. The tv and kids dvd's are at my MIL's house now and the tv cabinet is at the thrift store. Mold has been removed from the wall behind it and tge the whole house smells like chlorine now, it's almost like living in a swimming pool; )

 

I'm grateful for friends to laugh and dance with

I'm grateful for having an other space cleared in the house 

I'm grateful for tea

Major shark attack today. I needed a lot of painkillers and they make me foggy in the head. The whole day is kind of a blur, so I have no clue how many freggies and water I had. Updating solely for pancake points today :P

My deadline for having everything packed that goes to my MIL us next Saturday, and the deadline for having everything clean, pretty and impersonal is the Wednesday after that, so I can't take it easy yet. After that I will do NOTHING for a few days :D

On track :)

 

Fitness 

I've been lifting boxes and stuff all day, that's been enough exercise :P

 

Life

I finished cleaning out my workspace and about 1/3 of the bookcase is cleared now. My feet are killing me and I am soooo tired, but I made goodprogress. 

The handyman came today. He painted two bad parts of the wall and put new door handles on most of the doors.

He'll be back tomorrow to beautify the bathroom and kitchen and place the last two door handles.

Tomorrow I want to do a part of the book case (SH promised to do the books and movies. Yes, there is a lot more stuff there than books and movies :p), and I want to empty the sideboard. I also have some laundry to do, but the rest of the house is unusually clean :D So I can focus on sorting and packing

Okay, I am kind of panicking... I 've got 3 more days to pack before stuff gets shipped to my MIL and I feel likeI am never going to finish in time. Which I know is not true btw :P

The only big thing left to do is figure out what toys stay an what gets stored. I reallydon't want to take my boys toys away, but some of it has to go for a while. And now I just thought of the perfect solution: I'll put some of it in the attic and switch it around every week/couple of days!

Week 1, day 2

 

I did a lot of packing and sorting this morning. The handyman finished his work at the end of the morning. After bringing the boys back to school after lunch I collapsed. I was so tired. My throat was sore all day, so maybe I'm coming down with something. I didn't want to fall asleep in the hope that after some rest I could resume working, but it didn't happen.

After school A had badminton practice and J had dance practice and I had some errands to run. After I picked up both of the boys after their practice and got home I was shaking with fatigue and just crashed on the couch. I woke up half an hour later, ordered take out for the boys and SH and fell asleep again. When SH arrived I went to bed where I slept until 8 pm. Since I had skipped dinner I was so hungry, so SH baked me some eggs <3 

 

Needless to say I did't get enough freggies in, but the sore throat did cause me to drink enough water :) Zumba didn't happen either. 

 

I'm grateful for the handyman being done

I'm grateful for making a lot of progress with packing

I'm grateful for sleep

I felt slightly better than yesterday, but still not 100% Water is on track, but not enough freggies 

 

Fitness 

Sharks are still in town, and I wasn't feeling well so we skipped swimming. 

 

Life

I got some really bad news from our mortgage advisor.  It appears we interpreted some numbers wrong and we will leave this house with a huge debt in stead of breaking even :(

She'll put together a new advise. We'll probably be able to finance the debt with our next mortgage.  But it will mean higher monthly payments. 

We decided to go ahead with the move anyway and just adapt. But we are not happy about it.

 

I am grateful for nice door handles 

I am grateful for cuddly little boys

I am grateful for so much information available on the Internet

Urgh, sorry to hear the bad news. Try not to let this mar what should be an exciting time though if the news isn't going to change your plans. You're still moving to a larger house and it's still going to be an adventure.

You're right.  And it will be an adventure :)

I was pretty upset though. Then SH decided to make a spreadsheet to see how bad things really are, and he named it 'k met p' ("kut met peren" / "pussy with pears" a Dutch expression to say something sucks balls ). And that made me laugh so hard that everything came into perspective again :D
