Myrik
Myrik returns to the ruins flying past the first few rooms and tunnels until he arrives at the main room. Myrik once again inspects all the runes above the other 4 tunnels leading out of the chamber. 2 lead to the dormitories, 1 leads to what Myrik gathers is a classroom, and the last one leads to either a treasury or armory Myrik is still unsure of which it is but he is sure the Scale will be in that room if its even half as powerful as Rue and Tevok let on. Myrik starts down that tunnel with every muscle in his body tense and ready to spring away from an traps he may encounter. Much to his surprise he reaches the door of the armory without triggering any traps. The door is locked by what appears to be a simple looking pin and tumbler lock, but upon closer inspection the lock has 6 holes surrounding the tumbler. The holes appear to be the same size and shape as the 6 focus stone Myrik found in the main chamber months ago. Luckily Myrik brought the stones with him into the Ruins. Myrik placed the 6 stones in the holes according to their shapes, once the final stone was inserted the door pops open revealing a room full of mysterious artifacts; weapons of unknown origins, jewels, and there in the middle of the room in a protected case sat the Scale. Myrik inspected the weapons upon the many selves and displays discovering a weapon that stuck his fancy, Myrik inspected the plaque beneath the weapon it read *Citipati* Star Cleaver Myrik picked up the weapon, "The balance is amazing". After attaching the sheath to his belt he placed the weapon in it, Myrik turned his attention to the Scale, the case opened easily and a blast icy cold air assaulted Myriks arm as he reaches into the case. As soon as Myrik touches the Scale the cold air stops, he pulls the scale out and wraps it in a leather cloth. Myrik turns to leave the vault only to feels the evil of the ruins weighing him down... Alright on to this months challenge. Goal I: Strength and endurance 1) Continue my bodyweight workouts - not much to say about this just keep up the every other day workouts. 2) Change up my workouts, need to get out of the routine and diversify. - change the way I use my muscles, adding some sprints and more HIIT training. “You need to move the muscles in a different way so that you don’t develop overuse. Plus, it becomes more motivating,” -Will Torres Goal II: Life skill, well sneaky assassiny skills 1) Learn to pick a lock - I plan on ordering a lock picking kit and a few clear tumbler kits to practice on. 2) buy and learn to use throwing knives or stars - this one is easy Goal III: lighten my load part 2 1) Clean out closet again - time to get rid of more cloths 2) Cleanout garage and spare room, sell or get rid of stuff I haven't needed since I moved into my new house. - I have a box of stuff that I have been meaning to toss out and/or post on the sales group on Facebook. This month isn't as easily quantifiable but I will figure out away before Sunday. 7 Quote Myrik's blue print for the Year of the Fire Rooster Challenges: Current Past: I II III IV V VI VII VIII IX X XI XII XIII XIV XV XVI XVII XVIII Tracker Myfitnesspal Garmin Account Stories Art of Manliness reading list Link to comment
Manarelle
Yeah, that was way too easy to get the scale... have to work to get it out, looks like. You got this! Let us know what lock pick stuff you get - that's one of those "it would be cool to learn" things that I've never followed up on, alas. I made this part easier because i realized next challenge will be my 1 year on NF. My first post was on March 11th. So I was thinking of making the "narrative" of next month a boss fight with either this evil or Tevok, have decided yet. 3 hours ago, Grandkai_NL said: Can't wait to see what you are up against. Myrik
Myrik shakes off the heaviness and steps out of the vault. First thing he notices is now guarding the only way out of the vault area are 2 constructs that are from a more advanced civilization than the one he is used to. Before the constructs could spot him Myrik dropped into a crouch and worked his way to a large chunk of the ruins that had collapsed and offered an Excellent vantage point Myrik . From his hiding spot Myrik noticed the constructs have what could only be described as a heart under a transparent material. Myrik decides his best option is to go for the heart and hope for the best. From his hiding spot Myrik leaps out launching a throwing knife at the first constructs heart. The dagger is deflected by the transparent material not even leaving a mark. Myrik lands and immediately launches himself into a roll barely dodging a blast from one of the constructs. Continuing his forward momentum he leaps up onto a ledge created by more of the collapsed ruins and continues running looking for a place to take cover and come up with a better plan to attack. Seeing a small alcove to the left of the vault and out of the sight of the constructs Myrik continues to dodge blast and drops into the alcove. With the constructs still looking for him Myrik doesn't have long to come up with a plan. As he leans his back against the wall he feels the pressure of his newest weapon against his back. "I almost forgot about you" Myrik says to the blade, "let's see how you earned the name Star Cleaver." This week I will be working on the duck walk as part of my first goal to change up my workouts. Goal 2 will be started on the 15th when my knives come in the mail. I will be working on my closet cleaning. Tonights workout Pull up 3/3 Hanging leg lift 5/5 Uneven pushups 10/10 plus 10 i did at work earlier in the day Duck walk 21 ft 4 times. 2 Quote Myrik's blue print for the Year of the Fire Rooster Challenges: Current Past: I II III IV V VI VII VIII IX X XI XII XIII XIV XV XVI XVII XVIII Tracker Myfitnesspal Garmin Account Stories Art of Manliness reading list Link to comment

Myrik
Tonights workout Pull up 4/4/3 Hanging leg lift 5/5 Uneven pushups 5/5/10 Duck walk 21 ft 4 times Tried doing a crafty thing but didn't workout like i wanted. A few weeks ago i made a 20x20 tray for rolling dice in for my 13th age campaign, it came out nice. I wanted to finish it by transferring the 13th age logo and the Icon symbols from the game onto the wood. That part worked really well, next i planned on staining the whole thing Pecan well turns out the area i transferred the print to won't take the stain. So now i have to sand down that whole thing stain it and then try to transfer the picture back onto the wood. 2 Quote Myrik's blue print for the Year of the Fire Rooster Challenges: Current Past: I II III IV V VI VII VIII IX X XI XII XIII XIV XV XVI XVII XVIII Tracker Myfitnesspal Garmin Account Stories Art of Manliness reading list Link to comment

Ryuu1011
Wow love your goals! What kind of throwing knives did you end up getting? Also any idea what you're going to use as your target? I use a piece of plywood with a ton of sheets of cardboard ducktaped to the front, it's nice-ish but I have to change out the cardboard every few sessions. I'm also looking forward to seeing how the lock picking goes. 1 Quote Half-Elf: Ranger/Assassin Challenges: [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6a] [6b] [7] [8] [8.5] [9] [10] [11] [12] [13] [14] [ --> Battle Log] Old Battle Logs [2017] New Battle Log 2018: Reforged DragonForging My Life: Epic Quests [Google D] Epic Quests [NF] Lifter Profile [Symmetric Strength] Racer Profile [Athlinks] Body Comp [G-Sheet] Running Stats [G-Sheet] Link to comment

They should be getting more in i would suspect it's their most popular knife. SAR = Search and Rescue, I am Active duty Coast Guard and my current job is Search and Rescue coordination. I plan all the searches based on information I receive. it's rewarding but sometimes it's more frustrating. That case was a what we call uncorrelated, meaning we didn't have much to go off of, just the towers we got the call from, and the person in distress never answered us back. 1 Quote Myrik's blue print for the Year of the Fire Rooster Challenges: Current Past: I II III IV V VI VII VIII IX X XI XII XIII XIV XV XVI XVII XVIII Tracker Myfitnesspal Garmin Account Stories Art of Manliness reading list Link to comment
