It's my favorite way to make toast. Especially when you have leftover butter in the pan from making SSU eggs. It just makes sense. Also, I only do one side so one side is all crunchy and buttery and the other is bready, and the middle is kinda gooey.

That explains it. It just seemed weird to latch onto, and it wasn't a goal of mine. But i wrote a lot about it in that post i guess cuz I'm a caffeine addict too.

 

Well, if you choose to, you can do it. It will suck, but you can do it.

I ate no protein other then gluten today... I didn't shit my pants or explode or anything.

 

Got some chicken thawing and marinating for tomorrow tho.

 

30 min of zazen. And i finished re reading Everyday Zen.

Eats: French toast and eggs for breakfast, and a while lot of chicken, broccoli, and rice w/Korean bbq sauce for late lunch/early dinner.

 

Exercise: I did the warrior mini and did 52 deadlifts with 135# in five minutes.

 

Zazen: 20 min today. And i just started reading  You Are Here by Thich Nhat Hanh.

 

Art: I made four paintings today... I went back to digital. I can really crank stuff out on my drawing tablet and i don't have to pay for materials or clean up afterward... do that's what I'll be doing until I either start selling a few or get a better paying 9-5 gig. I worked on more of my abstract music art just using color schemes that depict single notes and their harmonic overtones. What i made today i like and I'm going to go until i have all 88 piano keys painted.

I have a coffee addiction as well. I recently moved office locations and the coffee is here is SHIT. So that is helping. It makes me want less. (and I'm too broke frugal to buy fancy coffee, when it's free). I'm working on just two cups of the crap stuff before lunch. And if I have an evening workout then I can either have 1 more cup in the afternoon or unlimited green tea with lemon. 

 

On the flip side it makes my weekend cup or two of home keurig coffee all of a sudden taste delicious. And I like that addition to my weekend morning routine. That nice cup of relaxing morning java.

I'm having a couple cups of coffee today. I figured I'll let myself have it as a treat, and since yesterday was a good day challenge wise I'm having some.

 

Plus i gotta do my taxes later. I always say I'm gonna have it done in February and I'm scrambling in early April. This year I'm gonna do it... though I'm finally just starting on Feb. 28th. XD

Taxes are done. I owe Indiana $3. But I got a decent sum from the Fed. Gonna be paying off some debt like an adult.

This weeks lunch batch:

Vegetarian Chorizo Mac

 

4 boxes of Kraft deluxe Mac and cheese (or similar)

2 pouches of chorizo style tofurkey

2 onions diced

3 bell peppers diced (stoplights)

2 tbs flax oil (optional)

 

Boil the Mac

Drain the Mac

Add the things

Stir

 

I'v got 5 containers of it for four days of lunches and break snacks. I had to use two large pots. I want to phase out the protein bars and not have any excuses to go to the vending machine on any break.

 

My back is fried from the deadlifts so I've been stretching it all day.

 

Gonna do my zazen after i post this.

 

As mentioned, 8 paintings done this weekend, gonna do a few more before bed tonight.

The chorizo Mac is okay. It's one of those dishes you taste for hours after you eat it (via burps).

 

I should have sauteed the chorizo, onions, and peppers before adding them in... Cuz the onions really cut through all the flavors. It would have been better with broccoli i think. Idk.

 

I had eggs, sweet potato, and kale for dinner.

 

My deadlift muscles still hurt. Fuck you DOMS.

 

I did 10 min of zazen this morning. 

 

Along with that I'm exploring yoga and other stretch routines to improve my shitty quarter lotus pose and figure out a progression to the full lotus, which should ultimately increase the time i can sit stably with decent circulation in my legs and improve my hip, knee, and ankle mobility... Which are also needed badly. This will most likely be a goal next challenge.

Threw a bottle of Tapatio in my lunch cooler to help out the CMac.

 

Alright. In to work. Here's to flushing 10.5 more hours down the existential toilet.
