I am starting to fully embrace my ranger brain. <3 It's a thing I tell my non NF people about. Like today, when I said, 'My knee was tweaking during my run, so instead of running 3 miles straight, I decided alternating sprint laps would be best!' On 3/8/2017 at 11:19 AM, BlackTezca said: Ugh sorry about the knee, but it looks like with winds like that you had PLENTY of resistance during your walk, so that's awesome. Monday was really windy here which drove me crazy with my hair (so happy I got it cut), so yeah also understand hair + wind annoyance too!! SHADING!! WOO!!! Have fun! I love shading and you have improving so it's gonna be awesome to see progress! Oh gosh oh gosh. You know your art energy totally feeds art energy into me! So thank you! Thank you thank you! I have never tried something so robey and flowy and layery! I need to find something to study before I give it a whack. But I need to do it for sure this weekend, because new game starts next week, and I ALREADY want to draw my druid as a bear with the halfling warlock riding it! On 3/8/2017 at 2:55 PM, Oramac said: Damn right. It's blue sky here too, and it's amazing. Keep in mind that "adding weight" is not the only measure of improvement. Doing one more rep or taking 10 seconds less rest between sets is also improvement. On top of that, you could stick with the Stronglifts style, but drop the app. For example: I just keep a word doc with my workouts in it. Print it out, cut out that day's workout and throw it in my pocket. When I feel like it's time to increase weight/reps, I edit the doc. That all being said.... If you've had good results from this before, there's definitely precedent for sticking with it! Can't wait to hear all about her! You know where I stand on names. For the last one (Azarah), I'd say, honestly, don't shorten it at all. Insist (in-character) on using the full name. Names are powerful and have deep seated meanings. There could be all sorts of reasons the character doesn't like shortening her name. Stttiiiilll haven't sorted out the name. I'll know it when it comes to me. But the search is on hahaha. And thanks! You're right. More reps and ... what is this rest you speak of? LOL. I do ALL my workouts in 40 minutes or less (then 10m of stretching). AINT NO TIME FOR REST! On 3/8/2017 at 3:56 PM, Broba Fett said: Glad you're taking it easy with the knee. Better safe than sorry. Regarding names, I vote for Lyorin but I think Oramac has a great character quirk built in for you if you go with the last one. Lyorin is definitely good for how it sounds. The look on paper is less pleasing. (I know, I'm weird lol). I'm starting to pull her personality together I think... shy, but very curious, and eager to try and make new friends. 15 hours ago, Jarric said: My word, it blew your mouth right over to one side of your face! I like Lyoryn, I think it feels right for the character as I picture her. I would probably naturally shorten it to Lee though. Looking forward to hearing about her anyway. Also, Ezraldo's robes look badass by the way. Thanks Jarric! Omg, you made me laugh at the comment on the wind blowing my mouth to the side! Good thing I scrunched in that direction. Today Stuff! -Work was calmer. Yay! -I stressed super much over the fact that last night's hang out, did not present a good moment for getting things off chests. -I did however, get the chance today, to set everything out on the table and clear the stress. SO MUCH RELIEF. -I ran at lunch. Ran 1 mile straight and experienced twingy knee. Opted to run super fast lap, then walk, then fast, then walk, for the next mile. Exhausting! Then I just putzed and walked, or jogged the last mile with no set pattern. -Sketched a bit at work today, trying to take that reference pic and turning it into an arty pic. Face turned out okay! The shoulders/body/bust is like WHOA NOT RIGHT. -Still have not settled on a name for the druid, but we all got together. Met the new to our group player. He seems genuinely super excited to play, and he seems pretty ok. -Ate within calories, and did NOT pig out at all, tonight. I had one serving of popcorn and ONE mint Oreo. ONE! Then I had my planned cookie and milk at home. Last night, whilst rolling over in bed, my foot snagged and my toes went... in separate directions. Why? Because my restless tossing and turning wore two claw slits into my fitted sheet! LOL. Stopped and got new sheets for tonight and they are microfiber and so soft. Super excited to hop into them. Also pretty tired. Tomorrow is a lift day- hoping knee is ok. Then meeting up with nephews for more hockey fun tiem! 4 Quote Level 82 ~*~ Ranger Deviant Art Gallery || YouTube Channel Current Challenge "It is difficult. All things worth keeping are." starpuck
Friday Stuff! Was supposed to be a lift day. I went out back to lift and did a few 20# goblet squats and yeah, knee is just not feeling right. I *could* push through it very easily, it's not that painful, but there is a voice in my head that says, 'Don't.' I thought maybe I'd just do upper body and core, so grabbed the pull up bar. (Last week I did two sets of 5 and two sets of 4 as supersets between my squats) I couldn't lift myself up for even one. WHAT? Clearly, the body was lacking any form of strength for the day. I thought, "Perhaps this is what a scream for rest feels like?" I grabbed my things and headed back into the office and worked on D&D stuff during my lunch hour. So here's the weird thing. I ate my breakfast, lunch and snacks at work as per usual. I wasn't very hungry so just did the minimum. Home dinner was left over barbacoa over brown rice with some salsa, then I had to race out to the hockey game with my sis. I had ZERO of the concessions there. And on the drive home, had a Nature Valley oatmeal square as my evening snack. Um, guys, I ended yesterday with eating only 1257 calories, and I was not starving. >.< It also means, that even with my lack of exercise, I ended up with a daily deficit of almost 900 calories. Um. Wat? How am I not dying cranky pants right now? (Being the morning after.) Then we met my nephews at the local USHL team's rink for a game that was helping fund their inline hockey club. They are the Corsairs (awesome plane, I used to watch the old Black Sheep Squadron reruns as a kid!) and it was such a good time! ThugLife Aunt? Of all the times they make the funny faces, here I think they're doing that, and they both have such nice smiles!! Way to blow it Puck hahahah! The fact they got into hockey is from having come out to see my games when they were younger, so I feel pretty stoked seeing them in these awesome jerseys! Today, busy today. I hope to fit everything in!! Chiro. Dancing for 45m. Taxes. Finish prepping for D&D game. Laundry. Ramen Run Game. Faint from nerves. Oh, and @Broba Fett. I took my pics this morning. *tag team* 5 Quote Level 82 ~*~ Ranger Deviant Art Gallery || YouTube Channel Current Challenge "It is difficult. All things worth keeping are." Today, I tried to do some Dancing on the Xbone... It sucked. It sucked so hard. I was breathless, and weak, and my body didn't want to move. It was absolutely an eye opener that I NEED more food than what I gave myself yesterday. That's two days in a row of being weak and incapable of doing workouts I typically do day after day after day. starpuck
WEEK 4 SUMMARY Goal #1 - Be Combat Ready! 1A. Strong like Grog! 1B. Move like Vex! 1C. Center like Keyleth Almost high five worthy, JUUUUST missed it. Stronglifts 3x / Week - 1 of 3. (Knee, weakness, stomach woes - excuses/reasons, in order of appearance.) Run, walk, move 2x / Week - 3 Total! Rucked on Tuesday, Ran sprints on Thursday, Danced on Saturday. Active Rest 1-2x / Week - 1 of 1. Yoga'd Monday. Last week was a high week on calories, this week I went lower. Partly because I felt bad about how high last week was, but also just because it sort of happened on accident. By the end of the week, I was so weak I couldn't even do a single pull up, and dancing on Saturday damn near killed me. No. Fuel. Next week I need to get on a routine of eating good fuel consistently. Not this up and down business. Goal #2 - GM's Gotta Number! Mmmm, clean eating! Food Tracking M-F 100% 5x/week - 6 Day of Tracking, though Saturday was binge night. Today Sunday, is not getting tracked. Saturday/Sunday Variances 2 MEALS/week - Saturday afternoon variance, and looks like tonight too. Ate a whole lot cleaner for most of the week, so that was good. Weekends are my trouble spot, so going forward, we are going to focus solidly on how the WEEKENDS work out. I did see more 153's this week than every before. Which... sure. It's a trend in the right direction. But, when you consider I started January at 158, and quickly dropped to 155 that first week, ... yeah, I am going NOWHERE with this. Arg. Goal #3 - Bard's do it all! BuJo - Every day I'm BuJoing. 7x/week - 7/7 Read 1 Chapter of Bible. 7x/week - 7/7 Write affirmation. 7x/week. - 7/7 SHARE an affirmation. 1x/week. - Oh crap! I forgot about this one! I will post two next week. Art Stuff. 3/x week - 4/3 D&D planning. 2 hours/week. - Planning? Why count planning when I can say I RAN THE GAME for 4 hours last night!!! This week went really well on all the Bard-y stuff. Lots of bu'joing, got my reading and written affirms done. And I finished Ezraldo today. Not the happiest with him, but I pushed through and got it finished. Next pic I can start on will be one of my own characters, so that's pretty exciting. Though I keep going back and forth on who I want to play. Druid, or Ranger/Assassin. A decent week, only thing that fell short was the lifting sessions, but I still got 5 out of 7 days active in total. Got my art in, my D&D stuff in, got through all the decision stuff and that went alright. Gonna take this next week kinda chill I think, and think up what to do for the next challenge and really hit it. I also really need to get in with a dietician. So that needs to happen THIS week. Oh yeah, summary coming up! CHALLENGE SUMMARY!!! Including Week Zero (5 weeks total) Goal #1 - Be Combat Ready! Stronglifts 3x / Week - 13/15 Run, walk, move 2x / Week - 14/10 Active Rest 1-2x / Week - 4/5 Goal #2 - GM's Gotta Number! I really gotta learn how to take these successes as reward enough hah. Because that was a GREAT Challenge and here I am all, 'Meh'.
