Goal One: Overcome the Virus and scavage enough for food With this goal I try to get healthier and improve my immune system. I still haven't gotten rid of some slime in my throat and last year I cought a cold several times. Therefore I’m trying to build some healthy habits and reduce unhealthy diet habits. - drink 3,5l a day - 3 portions of freggies - reduce unhelathy snacks and take away (not more then once a week) last challenge: Goal 1 Week 1 ✔✔✔✔✔✔✔ A Week 2 ✔✔✔✔✔✔✔ A Week 3 ✔✔✔✔✔✔✔ A Week 4 ✔✘✔✔✔✔✔ 85% A- Goal Two: Don't let them outrun you I'm going to get back into exercise. Every day I want to do something for at least twenty minutes. Yoga, 5 tibetans or walking. At the end of the challenge I would like to be able to walk the 2,4 km to the train station in under 20 minutes. Let's see how it goes. Goal Three: Get your stuff done and don't give in the lethargy I tried to convince myself to study almost daily and at least spent 15 hours a week on study related tasks. So I didn't get much done. Afterwards we had a Super Bowl get together with some friends. At least I managed to eat nothing of the overed sweets. On Monday I managed to work on my paper for one hour and walked about six kilometres. On Tuesday I studied 1,5 hours, got my stuff done and walked about seven kilometres. Wednesday I walked ten kilometres today. Unfortunately I was a little late for my train. At least now I know, that I can do the 2,4 km in about 23 min at the moment. My friend changed the batteries of my stop watch yesterday, so I'll be able to track that accurately from now on. Later I had a dessert, so I took my exception for goal one this week. A friend made brownies for me and I just couldn't resist. At least I didn't eat them all, instead I gifted the rest to another friend. And I studied for two and a half hours today. Getting hydrated and eating my freggies was easy. edit: Ended the day with 5 hours of studying. I continued to work on my paper and finished most of the rereading and rewording process. Tomorrow I'm going to edit some images. Thursday Did my stuff, but abandoned the extra goal for today. I was dead tired after editing for an hour or so - maybe it was a little more, but who cares - and decided to take a break. Maybe I'll be studying more later, but at the moment I just want to take a rest and enjoy a quiet early evening. I have some appointments later, so let's see how I feel afterwards. Oh and I brought home some satisfying news. I took some advanced English classes at another university and they both gave me good marks and some pointers for further improvement. I'm doing this for myself now, so there's no pressure left. Friday Had to do a lot of housework, before our guest arrived. So I didn't find time to study yet. Let's see, if I still can get anything done, when they are asleep. edit: Managed three hours at night. I couldn't sleep because of the green tea anyway. Saturday: Edited for another 1,5 hours in the morning. Did some housework afterwards and walked in the evening after my role play session. It was a good session, but next time I'll have to prepare more stuff in detail. Especially describing places wasn't easy. Tomorrow I have work for a day. The walking really helps to feel less tired and worn out all the time. I just have to force myself to keep my warm clothes on. We have a friend over until next Friday, so it's not so easy to stick to my routine. Especially because my friend took a week off. Usually I'm alone and can concentrate on my tasks. Sunday I was working for seven hours at the inventur again and afterwards I had a role play session. Monday we showed her the city and in the evening I had another role play session. It'll be 11 pm when I get home and I haven't studied yet. I'll try to go to bed at a reasonable time and get up early to get at least an hour in tomorrow before we go swimming. ☐✘✔ Week One Goal 1: ✔✘✔✔✘✔✔ Goal 2: ✔✔✔✔✔✘✔ Goal 3: ✘✘✘✔✔✔✘ Goal 4: ✘✘✘✘✘✘✘ Goal1: Dessert only once a week, drink at least 3l, three portions of freggies I had some unhealthy snacks two times this week - some crisps and mochies. Therefore I didn't get any dessert, when we went for dinner with his father on Saturday. Getting in my freggies was easier, when I ate them before noon as raw vegetables or added some fruit to my breakfast. Adding some vegetables to dinner was harder and salads are just expensive at the moment. And I have to be careful not to run out of fruit and vegetable by the end of a week. I should plan my groceries better. Drinking enough water was just a little harder. I had to pay more attention to it then usually. Goal 2: Get some exercise every day. We went for some walks because of the nice weather and went swimming on Wednesday. That was really nice. On Friday we didn't walk. We found someone to drive our guest to the train station and somehow weren't in the mood for another walk. Goal 3: Spend 15 hours on study related tasks I wasn't really productive. Only managed to get myself going on three days and couldn't keep my motivation up for long. So only 4 hours this week :/ Goal 4: to-do-list I did some things done, but I don't think there was one day where I finished five tasks. We often stayed awake for a long time and that derailed my productive mornings. Even when I woke up earlier then the rest, I tried to be quiet and not wake them up. But we got the necessary housework done and I didn't miss any appointments. I resisted getting ice cream on Saturday, but it was still a bad day. So I will count it as negative, although I'm allowed one slip a week. Score: 5/7 ~ 71% ~ B+ Goal2: I only walked for errands this week and missed two days. Score: 5/7 ~ 71% ~ B Goal3: Monday: 4hours, Tuesday: 10 hours (we started editing 10 am and finished 10 pm, I guess we had breaks worth two hours), Wednesday I was to groggy to do anything, Thursday: 3 hours for mails, finding new courses, getting my study tasks in order and handing in my paper and then I didn't know what else to do. Score: 17 hours ~ 113% ~ A+ Goal4: To-do-list Got some stuff done on Friday, but somehow I wasn't really successful. What I learned: I should try to get in some indoor routine again for bad weather days. Mood: I was really happy, that I finished this paper, but I'm also feeling a little empty. I'm not sure what to do next. Getting a job didn't work out. I was looking forward to doing something else. Starting to finish another portfolio project doesn't seen appealing. On the other hand I really should get this one done, too. And working somewhere for free sounds like a waste of time at the moment, when I have other things to do. So I'm not sure where the procrastination dragon lies. And I can't really relax again. Even when I meet up with friends I feel a little moody. I hope that gets better next week.
