Emerald_Dragonfly: The Second Cut

Today's Session, in pounds:


1 x 5 at 45

1 x 5 at 65

1 x 5 at 95

5 x slow, grindy, God-awful 5 at 135



5 x 5 at 45


I don't think that I am making excuses, I think that my immune system is still giving me the finger.  I could have gone higher on OHP, but definitely not on squats (and doing squats first took it out of me big time).  I barely made it through them.  So I bargained with myself that I would do all 5 sets of ohp, but take it easy.  By the third set I felt like I was taking it too easy, but stuck to the bargain.


Plan is to goblet squat light, DL, and Row tomorrow.  Also to sleep a lot tonight.  A LOT.

So, not to continue to whine, but I got sick this challenge and it messed up everything.  I didn't even get to eat like an a-hole. 

Week 1: - Hahahahahahaha.  Maintenance, my behind.  Averaged 1915 calories, with a minimum of 1000 and a maximum of 2340

Week 2: - The laughs continued with an average of 1536, a minimum of 985 and a maximum of 1880 - I am NOT counting that 1880 as over calories considering that a fairly significant percentage was apple juice and I figured that I actually needed those calories. 

Week 3: Average of 1721.  Minimum of 1653 and a maximum of 1780

Week 4: Average of 1732.  Minimum of 1658 and a maximum of 1775


I am giving myself an A+ for this goal.  Given the civil war that went on inside of my body, this is just about the best that I could manage.

Again, I did it when I could.  I did not miss a training session for a bad or lazy reason, I logged all training here.  I might get extra credit for starting back at 50%.

For what it's worth, I did this like a boss.  100% compliance.  Not that it will tell me anything except I will lose weight when ill.  Hahaha.

I'm going with goal met on this one.  No snark has been aimed at anyone, and my husband isn't giving me side eyes, so I guess that I am doing okay, here. 


I need a do-over for this challenge, so that is what next challenge will be, with one addendum. 

I have five weeks left on this cut, so I will not take a bye week during zero, but will jump right in.
