The town of Metroville had been peaceful for many years. The Incredibles had destroyed the Omnidroid and rid the town of Syndrome, Mr. Incredible’s Nemesis.

One quiet day in the town, the ground suddenly shook so violently that people and cars were thrown everywhere. From deep beneath the ground came forth the Underminer In a terrifying voice he boomed, “Behold the Underminer! I am always beneath you, but nothing is beneath me. I hereby declare war on all peace and happiness. Soon all will tremble before me. People fled in panic. Was the town of Metroville doomed?

The Incredibles heard of the danger to their city. Quickly they raced to the scene, ready to battle the villain. Elastigirl is ready to fight to save her town.

Super fun set-up and tracker!! I like the idea of bonus points for getting a whole week, rather than an all or nothing approach. That is nice!

Also, super excited to see if GtG gives you some pull-up gainz. How are you setting up your GtG training? I am trying for 3x a day, but that is actually kind of tough to remember, so far.

Thanks. Last challenge I felt like it was a bit of all or nothing, so I decided to try and fix that I bit.  I've had GTG give me gains before. Not sure if it will this time though, because I'm not being methodical about it at all. I have the bar in my laundry room. So when I go downstairs,   I do pull ups. When I had gains I  kept a record and tried to do it at least 5 times a day, sometimes more. One time every day I rolled tow dice and had to do that many sets. Another time I was in a PVp, so competition spurred me on. This time I'm more laid back. My big focus is on the Get-up, the pull-ups   are more to keep me in practice than for actual gains (though of course I will be happy for gains)

Ooops , I got confused as to who I was talking to about what book. It wasn't @Rooks I was talking to about Original Strength, it was @mightstone2k

So, decided to buy OS, since Mightstone enjoyed doing it and said it was a good  combo with S &S. It is supposed to arrive tomorrow.

Great theme!  I really hope the GTG pull ups work out well for you. :) It would be great if you could get into a good alternating cycle of TGU gains/maintain Pull ups -> pull up gains/maintain TGUs.

Hi there @Elastigirl , @Tanktimus the Encourager suggested I ask you about fat and protein intake :)

doing my 2nd challenge over in rebels and thinking of coming over to Rangers for challenge 3.

I want to build strong muscles and lose that soft jiggle of neglect from not exercising for years.

Im 38, 5'5" 145lbs( lost 5 lbs first challenge) I walk 30 mins or bike 12 mins to work. I strength train on machines at YMCA 2x per week, 1 x NF body weight workout, 1x cyclefit+/step class per week . For 2nd challenge added 2 booty workouts per week.

I eat a healthy varied diet of all homemade food . I'm 34 days sugar free !!! I drink a vegan protein shake with almond milk and hemp oil post workout (27g protein)

im unsure about how much fat and protein I should be eating to build strong muscles and tighten up.

I appreciate any advice you can give ;) thanks   !

Thanks. I'm also going to do as you suggested, and do  some regular pull up sets once a week, just to make sure I'm maintaining. Ideally, that's my plan. Next challenge, I'm going to do rings, which have pull ups as part of the program

Hi, welcome to the Rangers. What is your goal? Are you trying to lose weight, maintain weight and maybe just lose a bit of fat and gain a little muscle (recomp) or gain muscle?

I use MFP to figure out my challenges. I figure out the calories from there guide. I add back in my exercise, so if I workout I eat more. I know some people don't, but that is what works for me.

Right now I am trying to lose weight. While focusing on losing, I really try to keep my protein intake up, for satiety and to maintain muscle. So I am for a minimum of .85 grams per pound of bodyweight , though I often try to eat at least as many grams as my bodyweight.Since I am focusing on weight loss, I up the fat intake. Right now  for losing, I have it set to 30% carbs, 40 % protein, 30 Fat. I try and keep the total carbs under 120. People's carb tolerance varies though so you may need to experiment. I don't worry about hitting those number exactly, I just  go for a ballpark.

If I'm maintaining  I just do MFP at maintenance level and lower the protein and fat a bit and up the carbs.

If I'm working to build muscle, I eat enough calories to gain between .5 pound and 1 pound a week. About the same ratio as maintenance.

My  piece of advice is not to always be in weight loss mode. Set a number or goal you want to achieve for weight loss, and once you hit that then switch to maintenance or small bulking to put on muscle. Also, there are lots of opinions out there on how much carbs we need to gain muscle. Personally, I think it is because people's bodies react differently. That's why it is good to measure somehow (scale, tape measure) what your results are. That way you can figure out what works for you and experiment with that. Sounds like you are eating really healthy, so these changes are just tweaks. If you keep focusing on the big picture of eating healthy, you have done  the biggest steps.
