Transitioning...to Paleo

OK. I'm considering taking the month of March to transition to the Paleo eating plan. I hate the word diet because it contains the word DIE within it. Any suggestions? Should I follow the 21 day book? Has anyone made the transition and can offer advice and/or encouragement?

Go slow.  Swap things out one at a time, and don't over load yourself with changes.  

 

I started by swapping out my daily lunch pretzels with snap peas (I wanted a crunch).  I swapped out my afternoon cookie snack with some trail mix.  I got rid of my evening rice portion, and changed it for squash.  I went from big bulky bread rolls for lunch sandwiches to pita pockets to just meal roll ups.

 

Small changes that seem insignificant slowly build up.  Go slow, build a habit, and remember that a human diet is never perfect, so don't worry about eating the occasional slice of cake.
