Jedi and the Final Wedding Countdown

(I only put this one in because it's my favorite Obi-Wan gif)

Wow. So as of today (March 13) I have 40 days until my wedding. 40 days people, 40 DAYS. HOLY CRAP. There is SO much to do.  Gah.

Harrison-Ford-Screams-Laser-Guns-Blazing

I'm excited, but very very nervous. Such importance.

This challenge ends exactly a week before my wedding. Which is perfect because that leaves me time to get my crap together and not worry about this. I am NOT doing the challenge that starts the next week. I will be on my honeymoon and then figuring out what 1) being married looks like and 2) what it looks like to not be lonely like 90% of the time because I will FINALLY have my now Fiance soon husband(?????) with me.

That means that I have to make the most of this challenge. Especially because of my LITTLE PROBLEM.

Last weekend, I discovered that my dress, which fit exactly perfectly when I bought it, is a smidge small now. As in, if my dress is a cup, I am the soda that's been poured into it and the fizz is just overflowing over the sides.

I don't have the cushion to figure out what my life looks like healthily right now. TBH I dunno if it matters because in a month I'd have to re-figure it out anyway.

So I jumped back into MyFitnessPal. I may hate MFP with a firey burning passion but IT WORKS. Better than anything really. I started using it (properly, I promise) and I'm down about 4lbs in just a week. While I don't think that's going to continue, I have enough time to get down to MUCH closer to the weight I was when I bought the stupid thing. I really only need 5-10lbs over the next month and I'm already 4 down.

I need to spend the next challenge REALLY WORKING HARD on all of this. I need to make sure that I can at least look semi decent in the dress.

Goal 1- Logging

Don't fix it if it ain't broke. I'm going to log everything in my bujo, and also in MFP except for a few special occasions like my Bachelorette party and an occasional dinner out with my Fiance.

(I'll divide out points later)

Goal 2- One strength workout/week

This has been helpful and useful. It keeps me accountable for making sure I'm not focusing too hard on cardio. I usually do homemade HIIT workouts. They're shorter than most workouts but they work me like they should.

(spot for points)

daisy-ridley-isn-_xpcf.gif

(so many excellent Daisy Ridley gifs. I may have mixed feelings about Ep. VII but I don't have any mixed feelings about her <3 #goals)

Goal 3- 2-3 Workouts/Week of my choice

This gives me space for my Zumba classes that I love, and also for going to the gym and yoga or whatever strikes my fancy. Freedom to play and freedom to decide what I like (Zumba for starters, any kind of dance really).

Goal 4- Stretch 6x/week

I've improved with this so much. I love the feeling, and it helps keep me from getting injured in all of my endeavors. So I'll be continuing this as long as I can.

tumblr_mz3qpkyrVw1s6w6foo1_400.gif

So that's my challenge. I've gone back to my Star Wars roots for this one since I'm kinda going back to the basics on my challenge itself. I've got this!

(hopefully)

If you haven't found it yet, you should read this article from Mark Manson's blog.  100% true. :)

This is a really good article, thanks :) It mirrors things that the pastor doing my wedding (and pre-marital counseling) is saying. As well as many of the people around me.

Went to my Zumba class yesterday and there was a sub who did athletic conditioning with us. I am slightly dead xD Tonight I plan on trying another Zumba class with another instructor and may have made a gym friend.

I'm gonna go conserve heat. The office furnace is broken and they don't know when things are going to be fixed and such. It's like 34 degrees F outside. So it's like maybe 50 in here with like 8 space heaters going. I'm wearing a long sleeved shirt with a sweatshirt over it. As well as fingerless gloves. The cold is making it difficult to breathe. I may have to go work from home if this gets too bad.

On a positive note, my Fiance has another interview on the 24th so he's coming down for that whole weekend! I'm so excited.

On another nice note, my wedding portraits have probably been postponed for a couple of weeks. So I have time to get back to a better size for my dress. I'm continuing to push and it's going well.

Ugh, I feel that heater issue ;_____; I hope it gets fixed soon.

I'm glad things are going well!! I hope your fiance's interview goes well too! That's great that you get a little extra time to prepare for the photoshoot, too.

They're fixing it as I type, thankfully!

Me too, and it's so nice. I tried my dress on again yesterday and it fits so much nicer ^_^ I'm down like 5-6lbs from a couple weeks ago just from using MFP properly. I don't hate my dress anymore, which is really nice!

Okay so lots of prayers. My fiance and I almost have an apartment. But money is in the way again. We may have found a couple of work arounds, but I don't know. It's highly stressful and I don't really know what the best route is going to be. Right now I kinda feel like I'm pulling myself through life by my fingernails. Not a fun feeling. But things are starting to maybe fall into place so I can't complain but so much. Now as long as the rug doesn't get pulled out from under my feet, I'll be in good shape. Prayers would be appreciated, both for the situation and for my anxiety about it.

And after this HIGHLY STRESSFUL day I really need to convince myself to work out. Lovely. I just have to keep telling myself that I'll cheer myself up a bit doing that.

Getting married is tough, as is getting a first apartment together, especially when you are both starting out in your careers. You'll get through this, I'm sure.

You are The Grey Jedi, after all.

Thanks! And we actually managed to come up with money so we're starting the process of moving in on Friday :)

Ugh. Stress is so hard on the body. The next couple of days are going to be misery. I will not trust that this is happening until I've got all my ducks in a row. Currently there are still some missing ducks. Like my Fiance's paystubs for the lease. Like signing the lease. Like paying the rent. Until I have a signed lease and enough money to pay for everything due Friday (and by that I mean enough money to clear off my bloody credit card since I'm using that to make this initial payment).

Anxiety has taken over my body. I feel sick to my stomach, and have for hours. My ability to concentrate is affected, and I'm exhausted. I've got the shakes.

Prayers and positivity appreciated.

Encouraging quotes also appreciated

I know exactly what stress can do to the body. For me, it gave me heart palpations and a constant feeling of being on edge. Hopefully a big source of that stress will go on Friday, but remember to take some time out of your day just to take for yourself, remind yourself that you're doing everything in your power to sort the flat out. You have my prayers and positivity for sure.

You've got this. Stay calm. Stay focused. Remember you are a capable Ranger who is going to kick stress where it hurts!

Thank you <3 Today I have Zumba with my friend so that'll be my relaxation for myself. And fun. For me it comes in waves. I can hide if need be in a novel but that doesn't help me at work and such.

Love and hugs my dear. I don't have any experience in this regard, but I'll be praying for you, for sure. The physical side effects of stress are for the birds! I hope you feel better soon! <3 <3

So. You guys are NEVER gonna believe this.

But my Fiance and I GOT THE APARTMENT.

Everything has worked out, we are getting keys later on today. I'm so pleased :) I'm in shock. He's interviewing today as well. The plan is to borrow cooking utensils from my house and cook dinner in our new (empty) apartment. Just for fun ^_^

I CANNOT BELIEVE IT OMG.

And I've been eating well too. Dang. What is this life.

YESSSSSSS <3 I've been praying for you, and I'm so glad things worked out in your favor! What a load off of you! :D

Thank you! I got to show him yesterday and we somehow made everything work out :) There are some more stressful things on our plates but we know about them and can come up with ways around them. So it's going to work out! It's a Miracle ^_^

I've been eating okay and tracking both on MFP and elsewhere. I haven't used MFP this weekend but I'm trying to just be reasonable. It can't be too hard for a couple of days. And I'm gonna be eating burrito bowls this week b/c healthy and delicious!
