In humans - as long as the seizure is self limiting and less then 5 mins then there isn't too much to be concerned about - I guess dogs would be similar? And in humans - up to 30 mins of confusion after is pretty normal.

that's my thought! i actually have had a few seizures myself. did all the testing, etc. but everything was pretty normal so they were like just watch for it. i'm pretty sure i know my trigger as well so it hasn't happened in a couple years! just wish i could talk to my dog about her thoughts on what's triggering hers lol

Week 1 – Monday

 

solid 8 hrs sleep and what was supposed to be a deload squat session but I decided I’d take that time to work on front squats

 

goblet squats

Week 1 – Tuesday

 

first vag mons rehearsal/read-thru was mon night so I got to bed way later than usual. Slept in yesterday though and actually took a mental health day.

 

got a load of laundry washed and folded. vacuumed the apartment. did some Costco and whole foods shopping. did some yoga. and just generally had a nice productive day. oh, and I ate chipotle for lunch but then SO was jealous so we also had chipotle for dinner… I’m counting that against my two weekly freebies and will need to only eat my own food today through Friday to get the points!

That's how life is sometimes.  I'll probably be going out to eat on Friday after fasting for medical thing, and then Sunday we are going to an event in Detroit and we'll probably go early and eat brunch. 

 

At least it is delicious! VS a rough start caused by teh flu or something like that. Restaurant food fuels gainz. Or so I tell myself.

yeah it was allll delicious noms for sure lol. i couldn't just let SO fly chipotle solo for dinner, now could i? lol i did make a giant batch of chicken thighs with leftover salsa and cashew dressing... weird combo but it needed to be used up and i think it'll be fiiiiiiiiiiine.

then I walked for 10mins on the treadmill for 0.59miles and a 1% incline

 

did well at work since there was homemade peanut butter cake sitting in the kitchen all day. nutrition nerds were super helpful and listened to me gripe. ...although when it hit 4:50pm and I was only looking at 1660 cals for the whole day, well, I had a sliver of that cake. I think the point of the challenge goal was honored in that I didn’t mindlessly start eating the cake at 10am like I had wanted to or replace it with any of my brought snacks. I’m giving myself the point.

went home, got dinner ready (that weird combo of salsa and cashew dressing turned out TURNT), and did some yoga

 

ended at 1820 cals; 122g carbs and 157g pro. so despite the cake, things looked good.

haha! i am good with say a 30min treadmill session, the last (almost) 15 minutes was me waiting for SO to be done at the gym as well since we drive together. i was itching to get off that thing asap...

Week 1 – Saturday

 

did the grocery shoppingggg and got some laundry done in the morning. bought a couple small pieces of tenderloin on sale and  seared those up with a couple eggs for breakfast! steak is so good. weekend recipe goal check!

 

it was a pretty gloomy day but that didn't stop 5 of us nerds from hiking around Brakeheart reservation for a few hours! it hailed halfway through which was fine because it just bounced off, unfortunately that did turn to rain towards the end. AND! we saw a family of at least four deer bounding around ahead of us a few times. no chance for a good picture but that was awesome

went out for an early dinner with the group at painted burro which is always noms. and i had 2 margaritas... but i prerequisited the goal that it'd be lenient. just trying not to go overboard here.

Week 2 – Sunday

 

woke up super early to drive SO to the airport. put on my gym clothes so I could go right to the gym afterwards!

went home, made egg casserole for the week, showered, and tried to get a few friends to go walking with me to no avail.

 

I did get someone to do a puppy play date at our dog park which turned out to be kind of a shitshow. coffee was spilt, strangers were too friendly, and dogs were horny.

 

anywayyyy I got a load of laundry in the wash and then dryer but I’ll need to fold it tonight. food was purposefully terrible? I tried a bahn mi Vietnamese sub for the first time at this place down the street. many people have recommended it but SO is gluten free so we’ve never gone. I got a grilled pork one and it was reallllyyyy great.

 

then I got pizza and salad for dinner and finished up S1 of the magicians #sundaygoals

I wish I could love egg casserole. But I've been rocking my egg cinnamon oatmeal bake for almost a month, so I guess that counts. There is just less variation to it than I could do with something savory. That or I am just lazy. How many eggs do you put in a pan? 

 

I'm also going to try swapping out oats for quinoa next week. Scandalous!

that was exactly it! it was cold and my friend had already lost her coffee to the dirt so we were just not in the mood to entertain a stranger.

your oat bake is awesome! but if you do get bored here's the ingredient list for my casserole thingy:

 

around 1 lb of meat

9 whole eggs (large)

1 cup egg whites (from the carton)

1/2 bag (8 oz) of frozen broccoli

1 onion

1 tbsp of minced garlic

1/3 cup milk variation

spices

 

makes 8 servings at about 180-230 cals each depending on which meat you used

 

quinoa for oats! you risk taker, you. ;)
