!!!  I've never really caught on the eggs on burger craze but now that I can't have cheese I'm thinking I need to give this a try.  Thanks for the idea.

Sunny side up and over easy eggs are amazing on burgers. They're a great cheesiness substitute.

Lightly-salted avocado slices work nicely as a cheese alternative in some applications, too.  I love eggs and add them to lots of things (try one on your next batch of enchiladas--sublime!), but I'll never put an over-easy egg on a burger.  It's just wrong somehow. ;)

Another good idea.

Looks like @DrFeelgood has been outvoted on the egg burger.

I am definitely going to try it.  But next week's menu looks like it's going to be coconut milk and thyme braised chicken.

I really like tacos!! Adding it to the menu this week !!

You'll have to try tacos al pastor sometime. The corn tortillas are a healthier alternative to flour and the white onions, cilantro, lime juice, and pineapple really bring it all together.

Avocado instead of cheese, and iceberg lettuce instead of a shell. Taco wraps! Whole 30 compliant! Well, you'd need your own seasoning instead of a mix. But that's not too hard!

Whole30 Day2

Breakfast: half banana with cashew butter, strawberries and the rest ofthe banana with paleo granola

Lunch: scrambled eggs/egg whites with homemade turkey sausage, veggie hash

Snack: carrots, grapes, almonds, chicken breast

DInner: bacon wrapped pork tenderloin, haricot vert

evening snack: poached egg with turkey sausage

I ate more than the day before and I was still hungry most of the day.  By the end of the day I felt full but still not satisfied. I was craving chocolate and toast.  Of course, I woke up with a migraine.  I kept it at bay for a bit but that didn't last.  All the things I normally indulge in to make myself feel better are off limits - diet soda, chocolate, and carbs.  I am getting more sleep.  I went to bed early due to the migraine and I was in bed almost as early the night before.  Perhaps its the lack of diet soda.

I did skip my workout so I'll have to make it up.  I really planned on at least giving it a try but I ended up in bed as soon as I got home and once I do that with a migraine, every time I stand up it makes my head pound.

Put coconut oil, cocoa powder and dates in a food processor. Put in a ice cube tray or something simular and add raw nuts. Put in the freezer for at least 3 hours and enjoy.

I think this is whole 30 friendly :)

Having a migraine sure doesn't make the transition to paleo any easier...! Terah's recipe sounds delicious, but be mindful with portion sizes. In the past, when I first started paleo, I had paleo treats daily (what do you mean I can't eat five "paleo bars" every day?), and they hindered the weight loss process, because they can be pretty sugary and energy-dense. I think they could be great for pre-workout purposes to give you extra energy, though! :)

If hunger bothers you, try cutting down on fruit a bit, or switch to fruit with less sugar (kiwi, cantaloupe, plums), or berries. It's not that fruit is bad, but for weight-loss period it could be beneficial to have a bit less. Banana and grapes have a lot of sugar, too, but could be OK as pre-workout snacks. What kind of paleo granola are you eating?

And I'd like to add that I don't know how your body reacts to these foods, and I'm just a random person from the other side of the Internet yelling things in the void. I hope that my own stumbles with paleo diet could help you, though!

Your advice is always appreciated.  I am trying to be careful with the fruit and the nuts.  I started getting leg cramps so I went ahead and added a whole banana to the day.  They are quite the sugar bomb though.  I tried a compliant LaraBar.  Gross. I don't have to worry about having 5 a day. :)

Whole30 Day3

Breakfast: banana with cashew butter

Lunch: 2 over easy eggs over homemade turkey sausage and  veggie hash

Snack: the freshest apple I have ever eaten

DInner: bacon wrapped pork tenderloin, haricot verts

Still had a migraine when I woke up.  I decided to call in to work and sleep it off.  I was hoping to use the time to finally kick this migraine to the curb and then maybe use some of the day to catch up on class prep and stop into work to get some stuf done.  I slept in half the day - 14 hours of sleep total.  I still had the migraine when I woke up but it was manageable.  Not so manageable that I managed any school work though. I just couldn't concetrate.  I did try out my breakfast with over easy eggs and it was much improved. I had a meeting at the school I had to attend for my son's upcoming competition so that forced me to get moving.  Went to the meeting, hit work for about an hour, then some shopping, all the while shrouded with the migraine.  I did buy some tea hoping that some caffeine would help.  I found a chocolate flavored tea (?).  It smells good but doesn't really satisfy any chocolate cravings.

By the time all my running around was done it was late evening.  I finished up the last of the tenderloin.  I have been ready for bed hours earlier than normal so that didn't leave any time for class prep.  I tried but it was completely unproductive.

Whole30 Day4

Breakfast: banana with cashew butter

Lunch: 2 over easy eggs over homemade turkey sausage, veggie hash

Snack: turkey and bacon unwich from Jimmy Johns

DInner: coconut milk braised chicken with fresh thyme, mashed cauliflower (and a bit of potato), steamed carrots and peas

evening snack: a fresh peach with paleo granola

I had to get up early to drop my son off for a competition. I was tired so I crawled into bed when I got home and watched Gilmore Girls with Peach.  I still had a headache but it was improving.  We made a trip to the store to pick up the last of the groceries and then we binge watched more GG while I attempted to get some work done.  I made some progress but much less than what needed to get done. I was starting to feel more human again but so, so, tired.   I took a nap in the afternoon before taking Peach for haircuts and I got mine colored.  Dinner was the most amazing chicken ever.  That braised chicken is definitely going into my rotation. I went to bed early again without getting much done.

I did have a headache off and on most of the day but it's bearable.  It mostly made it hard to concentrate and drained my energy.  It's hard to tell if being tired is from the lack of caffeine, being drained from the migraine, or just a normal W30 side effect.  I'm hoping energy kicks in soon.  It's going to be a busy and stressful week since I am going into it so underprepared.

It is mostly chopped walnuts and cashews, sunflower seeds, some raisins and cranberries, and unsweetended coconut.  It's baked with a bit of oil and egg whites and cinnamon.  The recipe called for honey too but that's not compliant so I had to cut it.  I really like it so I'll probably continue to make it after W30 but the honey will definitely get added then. :)

I recommend Rx Bars over LaraBars if they are compliant (I think at least most of them are - the ingredients are literally on the packaging). I really prefer the taste of them over LaraBars.

Not sure if it will be helpful to you, but I get migraines when I don't keep my carbs high enough (note: I'm talking about letting them fall below 100g, not getting all crazy here). Not sure what is in your veggie hash or if you are eating them, but maybe add in a sweet potato for a few weeks while your body adjusts?

Don't use my experience as a deterrent.  Turns out it is shark week so I typically get pre-shark week migraines.  Basically, my bad timing likely quadrupled the headache effect.  have you seen the W30 timeline?  I'm actually pacing pretty closely to that except my headaches have lasted longer and been more intense (pre-sharkweek migraines) and I only felt like killing people for half a day.  I'm currently feeling right on target as days 6-7 are the I'm so tired I don't want to move days.

My migraines are also pretty sensitive to diet.  My carbs have actually been pretty steady around 100 or more even.  I'm actually getting more carbs since before W30, on good days with little snacking I would typically have carbs around 80.  Of course, there were plenty of days that I snacked too much so.... :)

Rx Bars... I will look for these.  Thanks.
