Korranation Charts the Spirit World

Looks like I took an unexpected trip to the spirit world again.

I'm still a little bit disconnected so the fast travel seems to be switched off.

spirit_world___korra_book_4_trailer_gif_

I'm switching things up again for this quest. I do love switching. I will be doing a different set of quests each week. I'm not making these quests up on my own since I've had issues sticking ith self-created quests. For the first two weeks, I'll be sticking to Rising Heroes quests since I signed back up with them for a month. I thought rejoining would help me get my priorities straight since the first month I had tried it out was a huge success for me. Once the RH is done for the month I'll switch back to the academy quests and log those here.

Glad you could make it. Let's see where this quest leads.

WEEK 1 DAY 1

Even though I write out this challenge early the first day I didn't follow through with the goals. I sorta sat around and binge watched Arrow while playing KHuX on my phone. I did write out my bujo for the next two weeks so I could track my activities better.

WEEK 1 DAY 2

Boy did I get stuff done today. Even before noon I had already:

  • filled up my gas tank
  • Got free coffee
  • Donated some old purses and an easy bake
  • worked out
  • Enjoyed a face mask

One noon rolled around I did all the laundry around the laundry room and behind the washer and dryer. I found more hangers than I know what to do with, two empty gallons of detergent, and dryer sheet boxes from scents used many moons ago.

I also got a message of a job fair for a good company so I dolled myself up and popped on by. They tested to see your call center skills and did an on-site interview. They said they'd reach out to me in about two weeks, but I'll keep up the good job hunting quest.

umee_Princess_Jellyfish_-_06_D724282Cmkv

I also had two job interviews the previous week. The first one was recommended to me by an old friend. I completely bombed that interview. I was so nervous and was asked questions I've never heard of like "how would X describe you in one word." The other interview was for a city job that I applied to over three months ago. It was in from of a panel of three and asked generic questions. At the end I had them grinning from ear to ear once I was done asking them a few questions. They said they'd call me back this week, but I haven't heard anything from them yet. If they don't call me by noon tomorrow, I give them a ring.

I don't know if I should count the "create your plate" goal since all I ate today was scrambled eggs and greek yogurt for breakfast, a pb&j for lunch, and leftovers for dinner. Leftovers consisted of half a serving of beef stir fry with noodles, bbq chicken, and quart cup of cream corn.

Job interviewing is hard work! And it takes a ton of applications to get a job. I love your positive attitude through this process. :D

I had no idea, I thought I was the only forum active member of the rebellion in town.

I can't believe you got an interview on a city job, back when I was looking for work the most I ever got were "Take this assessment" emails from the city. What field are you looking for?

Small world.

I had been applying for city jobs month than three months ago. I remembered people mentioning that thousands of applicants apply for these city positions, so I figured that computers search for keywords. The reason I got this far in the application process is because I copied the job description verbatim into my resume (minus the past/ present verbiage usage). My resume must have lit up like a christmas tree.

I'm applying for any secretary or HR position I can find right now.

I am so glad to hear that the applications are leading to interviews! Does this mean a little decrease in the pressure to keep applying (fingers crossed!)?

Thanks!

These interviews have somewhat decreased the pressure I'm getting but increased my folks' awareness on where I'm standing now so it's less surveillance and more of a demand for feedback regarding the current interviews.

So it sort of balances itself out.

I'm late to the game so there may be info I'm missing, but why do your parents have a say in this?
