Just realized I'm not officially following you - wondered why I wasn't getting feed notifications :P Trying to catch up on the backlog now. 

 

Just wanna say your drawings look great! You've made a lot of progress even just this year! Please keep posting them, I love to see them.

 

Good luck with the foodstuffs. Sending good thoughts your way - I'm too chicken to even track my macros at this point (slowly getting there) so I feel you. Mental relationship with foodstuff is tough, you can definitely do it though! I believe in you :)

TODAY'S STUFF

 

I was kind of tired today because, ya know, sleeping angry because of Bioware boyfriend issues.  (snicker, I am so doomed)      But I managed to nail today anyway.     Food was good, basically same things I ate yesterday, but with a different dinner.   I need some more calories tonight for my snack - and I'd love them to be protein cals, but... gah, I cannot figure out late night, sweet, protein option.

 

I worked out at lunch.      And, I've got pics and video (all in links) to share for form checks and stuff.     Oh!   At the end of boxing on Saturday, I asked my friend what she'd give me if I did a pull up.  She said a buck.   She said if I did 5, she'd buy me a burrito.  (Which is 1.29 so... not much more incentive.)   Anyway, I did!  Though the last one took a bit of a kip.    So last week and the weeks before, I was doing only assisted pull ups because I hadn't been working on them in forever... and today I just said, screw it.  Do regular.

 

PULL UPS - 4.5 || 4.5 || 3   **Held the last rep at mid point on each.

SQUATS - 65# ||  3 x 10 (front view)

PUSH UPS - 3 x 10  **Bench level.

SL DB DL - 20# || 3 x 10

RC SIT UPS - 3 x 15

Hold, two point: 35"

 

** Sooo, omg, the video for squats, is Porn Star Dancing in the background, lyrics, " She wraps those hands around that pole.  She licks those lips and off we go..."  Um.  I did exactly that in the video.  Except it was a barbell... which is kind of like a pole!

 

 

PUCK LOVE PIC - So.    I'm about to wear a full body cat suit.   Which is terrifying.   So I thought I'd do another thing that is terrifying and post a sportsbra only back pic!    (Yes, that is enough to be nerve wracking, lol)     So this is one of the spots I do my holds at.   I call this mid point.    I'm strongest at the very top hold to be honest, this is the next strongest spot, and the low spot, right where you engage your lats and all those back muscles... that's my worst.   (Which means I also practice it least.)    So ahem, anyway.    Focusing on the good!  Saying the nice.

 

Okay, so it's a sexy back.  A strong back!    Muscle definition, and shape, and just an overall look of a /strong person/.    She's wearing some baggy ass sweats, but that shows off the fact she's probably awesomely down to earth, cool with being comfortable and focuses on function when it's time to get to business.   Also, it's not even summer yet, but there's just a kind of nice tone to that back skin, lol.   I seriously have no idea what I can say about this pic heh.

I then did some more art, and finished up all the shading and highlighting on the "rim lighting" pic hehe.  (Still snickering.)

Here's the finished up bit, and I think it came together pretty well.   Any artists out there, please do comment on what I need to tweak in the future!

In more scary news - my costume bits have come in.   The cat suit fits.   Though I am super self conscious about the belly part.   I thought it'd be the butt/hips, but I am okay with that part actually.  It's the pooch on my belly that I am all nose wrinkly at.    I could go the whole day sucking my gut in, or I could see about getting a pair of spanx, which may be a good idea anyway, as there is no hiding anything.   I can't imagine a thong would be comfortable all day, so spanx might help hide underwear seams.   Yeesh!   The helmet came in too, and it will work fine, but I need to figure out how to put more padding in it so it sits more snug on my head.

 

Um, so that's that!    Really solid day, gonna load up some ME:A and give my thoughts a second thought. :P

That's definitely understandable about the costume, I wouldn't want mess with things that close to wearing it either. If you like, I'd be happy to send you some of the PDF reading material I got from ETP, there's a pretty thorough explanation of their theory in one of the e-books. Even if you're not sold on the program (and I'm really honestly not trying to sell the program specifically), you might at least get some ideas from their ideas.

 

With respect to the chicken, that's the challenge of trying to increase a macro like protein without also increasing your kcals: if you want to increase your protein by, say, 30g/day, the kcals are going to have to come from somewhere, and that's probably going to be carbs if you're already eating low fat, and that means less fruit and veggies in place of more meat. Something's gotta give, just hopefully it's not your sanity that gives... :)

Wednesday Stuff

 

Guys guys guys, I managed to eat 2000 calories on a Wed!  LOL!      All good calories too. 

Of course, since I skated the whole 90 minutes, and we had only 9 people on each side, that means I ended up burning 3100 calories yesterday, but hey, I'm closing the gap!

 

Hockey was so great!   I brought the tunes for the night, and if you all are interested in listening to what we jammed out to, it's here!

 

 

 

The only downside is that I stayed at the rink until 11:50pm.   Sooo yup, got home, into bed at 12:30, woops.   Good news is, I limited my water and didn't over-guzzle- so I only had my normal one time up to use the washroom.    I still only netted like 6 hours of actual sleep, but despite Fitbit's data, I feel like it was better sleep than usual?    I certainly got more DEEP sleep segments than I often do.

 

Before I had gone to hockey, I worked on taking the rough draft of the Thursday game Chibi's and get them inked and adjusted in MangaStudio.    I am starting to mess with doing my inking in vector layers - which is sooooo trippy.   It's like I'm some kind of art mage, transmuting lines and bending inks!     It's great for this stage of arting, but when I tried to color in a vector layer, shit got weird.   So instead, once I'm happy with the inking, I convert those to raster layers and it seems to solve the issues.  

 

Anyway.   All the sizes got fixed up and so, we've got:

Our poor, frazzled bard - Richard Common - eyeballing the antics with annoyance.

Our "This Halfing is the greatest, most honest guy ever" Aasimar Paladin/Sorcerer Naoya. 

         (buddied up back to back with)

Our halfling "What, who?  I could not possibly be an infernal pacted warlock working with assassins" Riggins,

          (who always asks the dwarf to carry his shit, because "its heavy" and is currently using him as a step stool so he can stand by his buddy Naoya)

Our good hearted Narrek, the Pit Fighter Dwarf who all too often relents on the halfling's requests.

Our Assassin/Ranger, Kessa, who often acts with the kindest heart in the group, worrying over the potential for Riggins to fall off his 'ladder'.

So there ya have it!   A solid Wednesday.     We don't have D&D tonight, so I am going to use the unexpected free night to rearrange/clean the room, work on padding my helmet, get some more done on the above pic, and prep for my D&D game!

So.......you only had an 1100 calorie deficit? :P 

 

I love seeing Shaman's Harvest on that playlist!  They're basically a local band to me, as they're from Columbia MO.

Holy smow!

 

So today ... I didn't art.   >.>   LOL.  Because I did all the other things.   I also ate 1923 calories!!   Again!

But... I'm probably going to end the day having burned like 2700?  

 

See, I went to work, and did work things. 

Then I worked out at lunch - Lifted today.  Even though I was a bit body tired from hockey.

Came home and the sun had come out, and it got up to like 67!

 

So I mowed the lawn, washed my sheets, did my laundry, ate a HUGE serving of pasta with hot turkey italian sausage, took out the trash, broke down some boxes, SUPER rearranged my room (like not a single bit of furniture is in the same spot) and then played some Andromeda.     Since I got to bed shitty last night, I am going to get into the sheets extra early tonight.

 

I still have a few things I need to do to get ready for my D&D game, but I can do some of that at work, and then I have Saturday morning and night to get the final bits ready.

 

Pretty decent day!

Woohoo!   They are not as pretty as the pull ups I did a few years ago before my shoulder went wonky, but zomg, getting up at all is bad ass!    MMMM BBQ.  MEAT.  YUSSSS.

Honestly?   Sweet Baby Ray's.   There's one ten minutes from my work (in the suburbs- remember, Puck is not a city girl and thus avoids the Loop!)   LOL.    It's delicious, and a local chain that started in Chicago.    I guess I don't do bbq too often.   This should change.

Sweet Baby Ray's, as in the sauce that is for sale in grocery stores? Intriguing. I didn't know they were a Chicago chain. Dinosaur BBQ was my absolute favorite. It's a Syracuse-based chain that opened a Chicago location near the North & Clybourn stop on the Red Line. But it closed after I left

Yup, the very same!    Their restaurants are just little buildings dropped in the middle of nowhere, basket and wax paper style of serving their noms.  So yummy.  And we keep their sauces in our fridge at the ready!  This location you speak of, with street names... it sounds like beyond where the light touches, and... ya know.

Friday and the sun is out!

 

So I went running- even though I was pretty tired and meh.   I didn't do any particular pattern, I just ran until I sucked wind, then walked until my heart rate got below 150 again.   Did that for 3.35 miles.    Really neat thing?   The very fit guy from the business across the street also runs, and he gave me not one but TWO HIGH FIVES as we ran past each other today!  I felt so legit!   Burned like 475 calories in the 50 minutes I ran/walked/cooled down.

 

Food is on track - probably be a bit low today but man, I am just NOT hungry.   I added an english muffin to my breakfast, and I'm planning on eating TWO cups of the pumpkin chili I made last Thursday... 8 days, should be okay, in the fridge, right?  Like, whatever we don't eat today is tossed but man... I only got one nom out of it.

 

Probably no art today as after work it's a quick stop at home to get my helmet and padding, so I can have my friend help me put it together.   Then glue the ears on and... phew, hope it all comes together!    That's artsy/crafty so it kind of counts, but I should be able to art tomorrow a bit or Sunday, so not too worried.

 

Yesterday's Workout- forgot to tag it in the update, so yesterday was:

  • Pull Ups 4 || 4 || 3 + 3 mini pulses in the middle
  • Rev Lunge 1 x 10 x 16# || 2 x 10 x 24#
  • Bench Press 3  x 8 x 75#
  • Dead Lift 2 x 5 x 95#  **One side had an extra 5lb plate on these two sets, &*#&! 1 x 5 x 90#
  • Side Planks 3 x 30/30
  • Inverted Ring Row 1 x 10
  • Stretching 10m

Taking my sis out for mother's day tomorrow night for dinner, hopefully Bonefish grill or something of the sort, but we have to play it by ear as bro-in-law's 6th and final immuno-therapy treatment is today.  That usually knocks him down for a couple of days.   But, I plan on eating healthy this weekend, going to aim for the best yet weekend of the challenge!    Bike ride Saturday, outside fun on Sunday before I run my game.   Woodoggy!

hey girl! your back is SWOONY, you are amazing. <3

I struggle with like, EXACTLY THOSE PROPORTIONS TOO with the % protein etc. I feel like I am eating at the best level casually, and if I want to really get more protein/do better with macros I'm going to have to get full-on regimented and do weekly meal planning and put out containers of chicken breast and veg or something all stacked neatly in the fridge. I just don't have the brain capacity to do that right now. and I don't really like chicken the best, so honestly it'll be something closer to the rock's cod diet. (https://fivethirtyeight.com/datalab/dwayne-the-rock-johnson-eats-about-821-pounds-of-cod-per-year/) (except cod is an depleted fishery so I'd have to go with farmed catfish instead.)

Saturday and Sunday Stuff!

 

Saturday was an uber busy day.   I've got so much last minute crap to do with this costume, but it's slowly coming together.    I got up, ran to the UPS store to initiate an Amazon return on the one coat for my friend that didn't fit.   I then picked up said friend and we did a 2 hour, 16 mile bike ride, all leisure like, along the Salt Creek Trail.  It was beautiful.  I got a little bit sun-pinkened on my shoulders, but not bad.    Came home, showered, friend arrived and we took my Sis out for mom's day.     After that, we ran to a bajillion stores for cosplay stuff.

 

Interesting side story: On the bike ride, there was a group of about 8-10 young adults, in full costume, taking pictures along the preserve trail.  I rode up to them, and...

 

ME:  Hey guys, I love the cosplay, what anime is it from?

Girl in background, whispering excitedly: Omg, she called it cosplay...
Guy in front, with camera:  It's actually the Final Fantasy 15 characters.   We're just amazed you actually called it cosplay!

ME:  Well, I'll be going as Celty on Saturday at Acen... (mischievous grin)

Guy in front: Omg yes Acen!!! We'll be there, that's awesome!

ME:  Sweet, well you guys look great, well done!

Group:  Thanks!

 

We start riding away, and I hear one of the guys follow up with, "Well that was our first person who knew it was cosplay, that's awesome!"

 

Ended the day at 10:30pm, exhausted, and with 16,000 steps and almost 3200 calories burned.      I ate, regret free and to my hearts content at dinner, with an egg roll, 3 potstickers, a spicy tuna roll, and only about half of my mongolian chicken, with just a few chopsticks full of rice, and chased it with a mango bubble tea (but had only half because I was sooooo full).     I did manage to find good shoes to wear with the costume.  Bonus: I can use them for normal wear too!

Today thus far, has been spray painting the pvc pipe for my scythe, gluing the ears to my Celty helmet, church, home for second spray paint, tacos, shoe store, where I bought the shoes I really wanted but my feet hurt now and I hope it's just breaking in period, then to the mall to find rings for the boys costumes to no luck, then back to the house to work on final bits of D&D before we have salmon grilled on the grill and then head over for D&D time.

 

Phew boy I am pooped.    Gonna get some drawing in, some prep work and just enjoy the sunny weather.
