This challenge will be a direct continuation of my last challenge in both layout and for most of my goals. I have big obstacle course race coming up at the very end of this challenge on May 20, 2017 and since its called the Dragon OCR I figured there isn't a better time to do a D&D themed challenge. 

 

Goal 1: Train my Body for Adventure

Continuing to use my Gymnastic Bodies Foundations classes as I continue to build strength, flexibility, balance, and movement. Using the money that I earned durring my last challenge I purchased GB's movement series and will be incorporating it into my weekly workout not too. Since my writs and elbows were getting a little sore by the end of the last challenge I've decided to scale down my handstand work for this challenge and have decided to double up on the movement classes to replace it. 

  • GB Foundations (UB, LB, C) x3 per Week ___/ 3 = ___/12
  • Stretch Series (FS, MS, TB) x3 per Week ___/3 = ___/12
  • Handstand Series x1 per Week ___/1 = ___/4
  • Movement Series x2 per Week ___/2 = ___/8

 

Workout Schedule-

Mon- Walk, Upper body  

Tues- Movement, Middle Split

Wed- Lower Body, Front Split

Th- Thoracic Bridge, Handstand

Fri- Movement, Core

Sat-Rest, Play, or Run/Walk

Sun-Rest, Play, or Run/Walk

 

Training Mishap: -10hp, Failed to do a set workout on the set day, that was not pre-planned

Battle Wounds: -25hp, any workouts left uncompleted at the end of the week

 

Goal 2: Craft Health Potions to Survive

Since I've been dieting for so long for the rest week and the 1st week of the challenge I will be eating at "maintenance" for 160lbs ~2300 calories then for the last three weeks I will start back on my deficit of ~1700 calories to ideally be at about 158 by the end of the challenge. 

  • Record my Nutrition in MFP x 7 per week ____/7 = ___/28
  • Be within +/- 200 cal of 1700 (+ exercise cals) x6 per week  ___/6 = ___/24

Starting Metrics (4/13/2017):

159.8lbs, 14.7%bf

Waist: 31.75"

Hips: 32.75"  

 

Craft Healing Potion: +50hp 6 days at +/- 200 cals of my goal

Cure Light Wounds Spell: +10hp Chose the healthy option

Scratched by a Goblin: -10hp Bad Choice

Gashed by a Skeleton: -25hp Bad Meal

Smacked by a Troll: -100hp Bad Day

Goal 3: Mend my Wounds

This goal is all about rehab and prehab to help with my long term health and wellness, especially for my feet and my sleep. The last time I made a sleep goal it was really tough on my relationship with my GF so hopefully it willn't be as bad this time around. 

  • Walk 2x per week ~30 min 1+ mile __/2 = ___/8
  • Ice Roll my feet 2x per week  __/2 = ___/8
  • Get into bed by 10:30 5x per week ___/5 = ___/ 20

 

Attacked by Bandits: -25hp per any walks or ice rolls left uncompleted at the end of the week

Fatigue: -10hp per day over 2 stayed up past 10:30 

Fancy Room at the Inn: +5hp per day going to bed by 10:00pm

 

Goal 4: Record my Adventures & Help others on their Quests

I account this goal for one of the reasons that I did so well in the last challenge so I would be silly of me to not include it again in this challenge.

To weaken the dragon before the fight I must first take down some of his massive evil army. These are some other daily habits and tasks that I would like to continue to do over the course of the challenge, as I complete them I will earn gold and silver (dollars and cents) towards fun fitness related purchases, and mana towards video game time.

Its the potion one.  If you haven't played the game get an emulator and try it.  Side scrolling RPG.

 

Also not sure if you have heard of Slack or not but its an online chat program and they have a RPG chat for all the tabletop RPG's.  I can't get you a link right now because I'm at work but in a few when I step out I'll edit this post to include the link.

Week 0 Update

YEEeeaaahhh.... We're not going to talk about week 0 and I'm just going to pretend my rest week didn't become a super fat, lazy, didn't actually do ANYTHING healthy, scrub week. So yeah. Onward to the actual challenge! >_______<

 

Week 1 Day 1 Monday 4/24/17

Hp: 400/400

Health Potions: 0 // Gold & Silver: (0+0) = 0g, (0+45) = 45s  // Mana: (70 - 60) = 10

 

Had a much better start to this week than last week. I've also decided to go ahead set myself back at my deficit to start loosing weight again. I haven't taken my weight this week but I know it's not going to be pretty :/ I don't know why I had just a rough week last week by any measure it should have been an easy win because I was on spring break but I just died and thankfully was able to respawn today and get back on track :). No health lost today. 

Monsters Killed today: Kobold (bojo), Goblin (Floss Teeth), Skeleton (Gratitude Statements) gaining me 45s and 70mana 60 of which I used to play some Dark Souls 3.

 

G1: Upper body completed today and I finally managed to complete 5 sets of 15reps for the row goal that I'd been stuck on for a while so YAY! :D

G2: Recorded my Nutrition in MFP and should be within my +/-200 cal goal of 1610 cals. 

G3: It was pouring down rain for all of today so no walk but I'm aiming to be in bed by 10:45 so we'll see. I'll update tomorrow I didn't make it.

G4: Caught up on a lot of people's threads and checked back in here. 

 

Gratitude: New Starts, Good starts to projects at school, Ordering our Switch (finally!) :D

Too bad week 0 didnt go as planned, lets not forget week 0 is called a prepare week. So not a lot lost, this week will go better. Im sure of it.

So, I had this great gif idea to put here and I spent way to much time searching to not have you know what is going on..... It was going to be a gif of Dolly (from Hello Dolly) being like, "It's forgotten"

Maybe you've never seen Hello Dolly and this joke is lost on you. Well in that case. Let's pretend that this post didn't become super silly, lame, didn't actually make you LAUGH! SO yeah. Onward to the rest of your actual challenge. >_<

Ugh Dark Souls 3....i have a love/hate relationship with that game. Only completely finished the first one. Need to restart with Dark Souls 3.

Yeah! Thats the plan :) moving forward onto the actual challenge :D 

 

Lol yeah I stopped playing about 1/2 way though because, well Dark Souls can be literally soul crushing at times, but I just started over and am really liking my build this go around (I might even do a Dark Soul's themed challenge for the next one :) ). So my build is kind cheap but eh its dark souls so anything I can do to make the game more in favor of me and not my enemies I think is fair, but I'm an invisible mage (using the spell hidden body) most of the basic enemies don't notice you until you hit them and even then just backing up a bit they are like "huh I guess nothing is there"  only to die to the next few shots of my soul arrows.

Thanks! :) Yeah I don't post much on there...ok really at all but maybe I'll start back up. I've just found having Instagram and FB on my phone to be too much of a time suck as I mindlessly scroll down the feed for hours :/

I do the same thing in Skyrim where I max out my thief and archery skills.

Week 1 Day 2 Tuesday 4/25/17

I was quite a dreary day here, its been pouring down rain for almost the entire day, and as much as I like rain I'm getting a little annoyed because it's putting a dent into the days I wanted to go walking on. Had some pretty serious sugar cravings on the way home from work today but decided to eat a pickle when I got home and it completely curbed my sugar craving it was actually pretty cool :)

Monsters Killed today: Kobold (bojo), Goblin (Floss Teeth), Skeleton (Gratitude Statements), and a Gnoll gaining me 70s and 140 mana 90 of which I used to play some more Dark Souls 3.

 

G1: Completed my first movement workout which was pretty easy for the exercises that I had floor space for :/ Most of the movement workouts require a decent amount of floor space to accomplish so I'm just going to have to modify them so I can do them in my tiny apartment lol (or go outside if it's a nice day :) ) and also did my middle split stretches. 

G2: Recorded my Nutrition in MFP and should be easily within my goal again today :D

G3: Raining again today so no walk but I decided to ice roll my feet as I played Dark Souls, and I made it into bed by 10:45 check.

G4: Checked in, check. Posted encouragement, check.

 

Gratitude: Doing flexibility workout with my GF, cleaning the kitchen in the morning so its already done, cold water oooh so good :)

Well I'm trying a few different things to kill the sugar demons, but the interesting thing with pickles is that they are salty and crunchy which satisfies those cravings and the vinegar pretty much nukes your brain from any other foods for a while while the flavor lingers on your tongue making them pretty good diet food.

^__^ we try, she'll normally do the middle split stretches with me and then make fun of me for how much lower she can go than I can (our relationship in a nut shell >__< hahaha) 

 

Its beneficial in some ways but hard to force myself to stick too. Its basically to keep me from binge gaming for huge chunks of time when I know I should be doing more productive things.

So normally I would have considered it, but this was raining sideways, most rain NC has gotten since hurricane Matthew (back in October), leaves and twigs flying from super fast wind kind of rain, so ultimately not the kind you want to chance with being outside.43GQ6hb.gif

That is the worse kind of rain.  Could you walk laps around the house?  or go to a local mall and walk around for a while to meet the goal?
