Uuuuugh. Okay. So last challenge could have gone a lot better than it did. I need to focus and put on my determination hat and get my life-bettering on.

Basic March/April goals, which have now pretty much become my May/June goals as well:
1. Better eating habits
2. Keep my anxiety at lower levels
3. Ramp up the exercise--This one needs a lot of work, and I need to not crap out!

So now that Winter is making its way out and Spring is making its way in, I need to make some adjustments to my routine. So once again I will be working on the achievable and accountability instead of the data point thing.

Goal 1: Better eating habits. These are the same as the last challenge because I definitely have the most success with pushing myself to eat healthier. It still needs work, but I am getting better at it!

  • Continue to look into fresher foods as well as protein and vegetable based dishes for spring.
  • Get more comfortable with smaller grocery trips so I buy what I need when I know I'll make it instead of buying it all at once and overwhelm myself. (This is actually super difficult for me because my schedule with working at a school and having to balance my grading time with my errand time.)
  • Cook more and use pre-prepared foodstuffs less.

Goal 2: Keep my anxiety down. My anxiety was super high last challenge with work and allergies kicking my butt.

  • Keep up with my bullet journal and my coloring. Again, dropped the ball on this.
  • Try to decompress/meditate a little before sleep instead of thinking of all the things. I am slowly getting better at this.
  • Try to find some time to actually read instead of just sitting around "being bored" during my leisure time. I usually find something to do, but I don't stay consistent with it.

Goal 3: Ramp up the exercise and not drop the ball on this one too.

  • Keep trying to move more at work. I don't have a student teacher anymore, so this should be easier because I pace a lot when I teach.
  • If it's warmer than 50 degrees F and not raining when I get home from work/on weekends, go for a 20-30 minute walk.
  • If it's colder than 50 degrees F or raining when I get home from work/on weekends, do 20-30 minutes of movement either on the stationary bike or using darebee.com exercises.

Ok. I can do this. I start on Mondays, so I still have today to mentally prepare myself. :D

You got this! Anxiety is a jerk and you should punch it in the face.

That's a lot of goals! Though they sound all really good and targeted, so you're awesome!

Anxiety is a massive butt-face, and I hope that you'll be able to face it well and stay strong in the challenge!

So far, I'm still having trouble convincing myself my allergies won't kill me if I go outside for a little bit. It's also been raining a lot, so I've kind of been like "Oh. Rain. I guess a nap is okay!" when I'm exhausted from work instead of pushing myself.

I have to get better at motivating myself to do things.

A nap is okay, when you need it! Much better than pushing yourself when what you need is rest.

<3 I needed that affirmation.

Week 2 went ok. Could have been better. I am losing focus again, which sucks. The weather has been cold and rainy, then warm and sunny, and then cold and rainy again. Great for not doing anything outside. Awful for allergies.

Checking in! How's the exercise goal coming? Are there indoor things you can do when allergies suck and going outside seems terrible? I know a lot of people do the beginner body weight workout from the NF blog.

I AM SO SLOW OMG

I have an exercise bike and an elliptical, so I can work on those when the weather hates me,

Which it does. I was outside yesterday for 10!!! minutes and I have a sun-rash on my arm because MY LIFE.

So recapping this goal, which I sucked at keeping up with, was pretty much the same as the last challenge. I did keep up with the 10k steps a day more often, but I did not do as much as I would have liked. I am going to take the week between now and the next challenge and really rethink what I can and can't accomplish while school is in session.
