Week 4 – Sunday

 

sleeeeeeeeep. did 20 burpees before heading out to brunch with nerdzz. Father’s day made things a bit difficult but we found a place that seated us quickly and had delicious food even if it was pretty pricey. It was a mandatory prix fix menu so I picked a kouign amann (recommended by raptron and it was everything) and a burger with an egg on it. also a bloody mary and a really good iced latte. oh and their plates were really cute.

said our sad goodbyes and drove off into the sunset. Not reallyyyy we went and saw wonder woman with the pops for his day and it made me feel all the feels. Especially after getting so angry everytime the Spartan workers called the heavy bags “mens” bags and the lighter bags “womens” bags. Just call them heavy and light! Or better yet, as raptron suggested, tell us the weights so we can make an informed decision! Anyway wonder woman was a much needed salve. Brother and pops really liked it too :D

 

I ate movie popcorn and then a halo top for dinner. #adulting

Week 4 – Monday

 

slept in for a much needed full 8 hours. SO and I walked the pup down to dunks for some coffee and to loosen up our achey muscles.

 

work was boringgg. I didn’t bring enough food and ended up having some homemade strawberry pie that someone brought in as well as a brownie. I did the following when I got home:

 

Day 1 Week 2 spartan WOD

10min walk

 

2m jog

3m walk

(2.16 miles total)

 

9 mins of yoga

 

going back to the easier WODs I skipped. figure it’s a good way to ease back into things but stay consistent with working out. dinner was some pre-cooked bbq chicken and veggies from wegmans so that I could cook up the egg casserole for breakfasts the rest of the week. we've been having this real delicious ham and swiss pre-made frittata from wegmans since we knew we wouldn't have time to cook on sunday.

made tinga chicken in the pressure cooker, folded some laundry, did some yoga, and watched the first half of s6e1 of GoT lol – little late to the party.

i am not getting enough sleep :( idk if it's that the sun is out later or what but i think i'm going to skip my WOD tonight and go to bed early. thinking of making a curry dish with the turkey and kale tonight, throw in another load of laundry, and taking some melatonin before 8pm haha. we're camping this weekend and i will usually wake up pretty early naturally while camping so i want to get in some good REM while i can.

do it. sleep is the magical gainz giver. I like your plan. 


I do find the extra light to make it harder to WANT to go to bed, but then once I'm on the pillow and trying to fall asleep, I still go to sleep pretty normally.

it was super easy. i used chicken thighs and they came out great. just served over baby spinach instead of on tacos.

yeah i think it's a combination... SO has also been staying up later on her phone in bed which makes it harder for me to fall asleep too for some reason lol

skipped WOD as planned but then realized I didn’t take out the ground turkey to thaw for dinner. I ended up getting a chicken salad wrap from a nearby pizza place which was gross. womp. watched some Kimmy Schmidt, did some laundry and was in bed by 8:15.

I neeeeed to get to bed before 8pm tonight as we’re leaving for vaca before dawn.

30 minute walk in the morning. lots of being slow at work.
