In lifting news... I found someone that I trust who is writing a program for me!  Online, which is awesome.  Today was my first session... kinda like I have my very own zero week!!!  I'm beyond excited to see how I do.  :-)

 

Today's training in pounds

Warm up stuff

Squats:

2 x 5 at 45

1 x 5 at 95

1 x 5 at 135

1 x 3 at 185

1 x 6 at 210

1 x 2 at 210

3 x 6 at 200

 

4 x db squat circuit at 25 each side

 

3 x Core circuit

 

Then had an amazing dinner.   Grilled sirloin steak salad with cheesy garlic bread and herb buttermilk dressing.  So.  Yum.

Yesterday: Zombies Run, Mission 6.  It was hot, so more like Zombies Shuffle.

Warm up

 

Bench:

2 x 5 at 45

1 x 6 at 75

1 x 8 at 95

2 x 4 at 115

 (I had the bar spaced unevenly the first time, so thought that had caused the failure.  But then fIled again - I was going for 8.)

2 x 8 at 100

 

Push Press

*New movement for me

Fooled around with 45, 75, failed 100. 

 

Arm circuit x 3

 

Core foolishness

 

Mobility stretches

I'm impressed that you are doing all of these outside. When the weather is ungodly I do them at the cheapo gym.

NOT ghosting!!!

 

Saturday I did my one mile test to see how fast I could go. 

Good news:

I ran the entire thing without stopping.

I did it in 11 minutes, 11 seconds.

My schedule got messed up, which messes up next week's schedule.  But I lifted today.  In pounds.  :-)

(sneaky sneaky cardio - anything over 5 reps is cardio for me!!!) 

Still working on form for these - got some tips, hoping that I see an improvement next time. :-)

 

Then arm circuits x 3

12 reps of:

DB Rows, 25 lbs each side

Upright Rows, 15 lbs each side

Lat raises, 7.5 lbs each side (room to grow on these last two fo sho.) 

 

Then planks for core.  Silly core, stay tight!!!

It's weird, running wasn't a goal this challenge, just cardio...but the husband does most of the Zombie missions with me, and all of a sudden, it doesn't seem like so much work.  We are super silly and get all into the Mission...our neighbors probably think that we are nuts.  /Shrug.
